““A lovely Home - just perfect for a caribbean splash!”” Wow. Just so amazing. We had the best time. We did all the great adventure trips around the Bocas Islands and felt home in this lovely house. Everyday we played a little ping pong at the appartement and swam in the beautiful pool. The Owners Boy's were really helpful and kind! Unfortunatly we didn't have the time to use the kayaks but we loved to cruize around the island with the two bikes we received from the owners. It was absolute paradise! Thanks a lot for this! ps. for everyone who thinks colon is just a party island - in Villa Paraiso you don't feel any of the town's nightlife just if you want, you can take a little bike ride into town, which is really refreshing and have a drink or two or three :-)

“Our Home away From Home” Two of us spent a week in The Orange House. Claudia (the owner) met us at the airport and provided the taxi ride to the house. From the moment we walked through the door we loved the place. There was a view of the water from almost every window. The kitchen / living room is bright and sunny. The house was very clean and has a great large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we woke to a view of the water each day. The deck was our favorite spot. We looked forward to coming home (after our days of adventures) to a cocktail and the wonderful sunsets from our comfy adirondack chairs. The house is located about a 10 minute walk from town. I would recommend walking the side road closest to the water to avoid the taxi traffic. There is a large grocery store less then 2 blocks away that has just about everything you may need. Claudia lives next door and is always available to answer any questions you may have. Another great source of informatiom was our taxi driver Marlin. He can pick you up and drop you off right at your door. He also has good advice about where to eat and places to see. This was a great place to hang your hat and relax to the sound of the lapping water all around. Hope to come back...

“Amazing Experience and Place” I cannot say enough great things about Bocas and Sandi's place. It was an amazing vacation thanks to the world's greatest host Sandi and her beautiful property, great cooking, conversation and help with finding things to do. The house itself is the perfect home base. Close to town but also close to some amazing beaches - some we had all to ourselves all day. We loved riding her bikes to explore the beaches and grab cocktails along the way. Sandi is an amazing host and an unexpected treat. We cooked dinner together one night and had many, many laughs. I personally loved the outdoor shower and hanging out on the porch. My boyfriend spent many hours in the hammock. Sandi even helped us line up private massages in our house. It was one of the best massages ever - highly recommend it. The house has everything you need - books, TV, Sandi's local knowledge, a well stocked kitchen, bikes and much more. We can't wait to go back to stay longer.

“DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE” My wife, myself and 2 other couples stayed here for a week in March. We had a great time. The house is truly unbelievable. We spent most of our time snorkeling around the house where we saw many fish and other sea creatures. The owners also help arrange daily trips. Nearby is a totally amazing beach with numerous amounts of Starfish. We are planning to come back next year. DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE!

“Amazing place” I was looking for a place to spend 10 days with my grandmother and wanted to go to the Caribbean side of Panama but far from noise and party Bocas town. Wanted to enjoy her and her bday. I researched a lot other places around and others in town, I read all reviews they have in two websites and I choosed Paraiso Escondido. I know when we look at the general pictures things might be different when we get there, but this place is amazing, maintenance outside and inside is very good, the water and coral reef are clean and incredible. The house and surroundings are even better than the pictures. Another thing that surprised us was the attention received. Poly and Lyo are very helpfull, happy and gentil, we felt with friends. They will be there when you want or need. There are several tours options in town if you take a boat with 20 or 30 people, or go in a private boat with Paraiso Escondido. We took one trip in town and then two other trips with Paraiso Escondido. Recommended Islas Zapatilla!! not recommended Star fish on Sunday. We tried different restaurants in town and didnt like much, then we asked if Lyo could cook for us, it was very delicious and fair price *try the octopus risotto. This place is enchanted, for people who love nature and want peace and if you know what you are looking for. Thanks to Poly and Lyo

“Fantastic” Stayed here for 2 night with a friend. Fantastic visit. Close enough to the beach you can hear the surf to lull you to sleep. Very few bugs. Gungula is a wealth of information about the local fauna and wildlife that abounds the place. Howler monkeys right off the porch both days, several sloths. Lots of Parrots. Great beach. This place is off the grid, a real tropical get a way with all the comforts of home.

About Bocas del Toro Province
A laid-back archipelago with a friendly and laid-back Caribbean feel, Bocas del Toro consists of one mainland and nine islands, and is just off Panama.
The capital, Bocas del Toro on Colon Island, was built to house workers of the United Fruit Company back in the early 1900s. Because of this, the airport is just five minutes’ walk from the town's main street, and the town itself a mere 20 minutes’ walk from end to end.
Unlike other areas of the Caribbean, Bocas del Toro's low southern latitude means it isn't prey to hurricanes. But it still has those gorgeous tropical white sandy beaches and transparent calm azure blue waters that are a magnet for sun worshipers and those who love their watersports.
Christopher Columbus visited Bocas del Toro back in 1502. Today, most residents still find it easier to get about by boat rather than motorized transport.
What to do
Explore as many of the neighboring islands as you can on a motorboat trip.
See how much wildlife, such as adorable sloths and capuchin monkeys, you can spot by visiting the Monkey Farm Botanic Garden. It's 10 hectares of 'trained' rainforest which also contains some incredibly exotic birds.
Cycle around 10 miles from the town of Bocas del Toro to the village of cattle farmers known as Colonia Santena where you can go caving in waist-high water while looking for bats in La Gruta.
See if you can spot any finger nail-sized red frogs on Red Frog Beach in the Isla Bastimentos National Marine Park. At the same time, snorkel to spot parrotfish and angelfish. Look out for leatherback turtles on Playa Larga Beach.
Dine at Crawl Cay Restaurant (a series of huts on stilts above the water) and snorkel while the cook prepares your food.
Top Bocas del Toro travel tips
Cross island buses between Boca del Drago and Bocas del Toro town run six times a day, take an hour and cost $2.50. You can hire canoes and motor boats on the waterfront, but make sure the owner comes back for you by only paying him on the return journey.
Always cover up, even when coming or going to the beach. It's against the law not to.
