BREATHTAKING VIEWS at Kilkelly's CABIN

Boone log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“The best of the best” I have been visiting and staying in rental places in Western NC for many years and the Kilkelly Cabin has no peer. The cabin is perfect and the views other worldly but the best part of the experience are the hosts. Joanie and Gary made sure our stay was more than we ever could have imagined. We celebrated my son's graduation from App St, my Mom's 80th birthday and Mother's Day all in one spectacular long weekend. It literally could not have been better. 5 stars are not nearly enough. Thanks Joanie and Gary. We'll be back

Boone log cabin

“Wow!!!!” Let me say this place was like a home away from home! It's out in the middle of nowhere I can tell you how much I enjoyed the porch in the morning and evening, over looking the rolling hills. Close enough to boone to not worry about driving with a grocery store about half way. Will definitely be in contact with the owner for my next rental!!!!

Boone log cabin

“The most relaxing of Vacations - In stunning surroundings” My fiancé and I have stayed at Fallcreek cabins on many occasions. The cabins are conveniently situated between Boone and Wilkesboro. Within 5 minutes of leaving the highway you find yourself at the cabins, nestled serenely amongst the trees above the creek. The peace and quiet is what hits you first, closely followed by the fresh air. I have stayed at several of the cabins at Fallcreek over the years and all of them are uniquely decorated with some lovely home touches. They are spotlessly clean and comfortable, providing you with all the conveniences you could want for the week. Although there is TV, DVD player etc. we prefer to sit outside, relax in the hot tub or maybe build a fire in the fire pit. The welcome addition of wifi however means you can still keep in touch with friends and family. The seclusion of the Creekside overlook cabin is excellent and you will enjoy complete privacy. Fortunately you don't need a SUV or Truck to get to the cabins (In spring or summer) as the tracks are well maintained and not too steep. A great relaxing getaway, providing a lovely way to unwind and reconnect with nature and those you love.

Boone log cabin

“Another great stay” We had another great stay in Deer Run (part of Fall Creek Cabins) this year. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and stocked with sheets, towels, paper products, kitchen utensils -- everything you might need and lots more. The wooded setting is quiet and beautiful, and having trails and waterfalls right on site is great for days when you don't feel like getting in the car. But if you do feel like driving, Boone, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway and more are close by. We love exploring during the day, and then soaking in the hot tub or relaxing in rocking chairs on the covered porch at night. We've stayed here annually for more than seven years now, and we definitely plan to be back!

“Amazing get away!!!” My wife and I stayed at Fall Creek Cabins (FCC) - Serenity Ridge this past weekend. It was a much needed 'getaway' in a magnificent location. The cabin offers a secluded and relaxing atmosphere while having all the creature comforts of home. The crackling fire adds to this rustic setting. When your at the cabin you feel like your in 'another world', but you can easily be at the nearest store for needed supplies in a matter of 10-15 minutes. The location is also very convenient for day trips to Boone, Blowing Rock and other interesting places. The staff at was fantastic at assisting with setting up our trip and helping insure we had all the pertinent information.

“Incredible!” My wife and I celebrated 24 years of marriage at the Blueberry Hideaway on March 8 of this year. Everything needed, such as firewood, the preparation of the hot tub, kitchen provisions, were provided for us. The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable. It is memory that will never be forgotten. We will return one day with our children to enjoy one of these cabins as a family although we didn't have the honor to meet Tim and Beverly personally, we saw their excellence in the awesome cabins that they have provided for couples as such as us. Thank you and may God richly bless you!

“Wonderful Weekend Getaway!” My boyfriend and I, along with one other couple enjoyed a great two night stay at Wolf Creek cabin this past Valentine's Day! We loved how cozy and clean the cabin was! The hot tub is so relaxing with a few cups of hot chocolate! This cabin is located in a great location, about 25 minutes from Downtown Boone! Wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again!

“Great getaway!” This was a great choice for spending a weekend away with my wife. It's 15 Miles from Boone. Easy access to 421. Awesome tub. Very clean. Internet available. We didn't see a single soul why staying there. Very very quiet. Very relaxing weekend with all amenities available.

“A lovely Family Experience” My family and I have been to Fall Creek Cabins several times. Westayed in the Mountain Laurel Cabin for a week long vacation. The cabins are clean, well equipped and comfortable. Some days we stay on the property, hiking and picnicking along the creek and reading books on the porch swing. Other days we ventured to nearby attractions, hiking, shopping and whitewater rafting, followed by a long soak in the Jacuzzi on the porch on our return to the cabin. This is one of my favorite places for a family vacation. I have always wanted to get my family or a group of friends to go together and rents several of the cabins at the same time. That would be really fun. Tim and Beverly are great hosts and always make sure everything is running smoothly.

“Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)

Almost Heaven

Boone log cabin

“Relaxing, amazing views, and cool!” The service I recieved from Wit's End was great. They gave me everything I needed, and they weren't far from the cabin! The cabin was a delightful log home in a great setting on top of the mountain with great views. You could see the sun rise in the mornings, and it was still cool enough that no aC was needed. It was located a few miles from the town of Boone, so you could stroll through the town and visit shops, and resturants. The town was located next to applachian State college as well. We were also only a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin had everything we needed, a grill #1, but the relaxation, and awesome views were the best. It was also very clean!!! It wasn't a five star hotel type, but we had everything we needed, even internet access. The peacefulness, watching hawks, and other birds shore daily, besides seeing some deer at dusk and mornings, along with rabbits, and even some turkey was worth the trip.

Million Dollar Views of Lake and Mtns, Luxury Cabin Experience, Hot Tub,

“Magnificent Cabin with incredible view!” We've rented villas and properties all over the world...we really prefer that to hotels...and this is one of the best places we've rented, bar none. It's a bit off the beaten path, away from the 'touristy' areas, like Gatlinburg (which is just fine with us) but is still only a 20-30 minute drive to the nearby college/tourist/ski town of Boone, NC, which has anything you need. The home itself is huge, three stories, and gorgeous, on a ridge overlooking Lake Watauga. The views of the lake and the mountains are excellent. The Great Room: Spacious & open with floor to ceiling windows, and a deck off the side, with rockers and gliders, overlooking the lake with views of the mountains. Great place for morning coffee and evening drinks at sunset. Stone gas fireplace with remote control. Bedrooms: on the main floor is one master suite with a king bed and it's own deck overlooking the lake, with two log rocking chairs. There is an en-suite bath, and although it's not really very large. it's perfectly adequate, with two sinks in the vanity. Above the master suite, and overlooking the great room is a sleeping loft with a queen bed. Lower level: Three bedrooms, one is a second master with bath and queen bed, the other two have two full beds in each. On this level there is also a game room, pool table, a huge Jacuzzi for 7, and another gas fireplace, along with a large deck with rockers and a porch swing. The kitchen: Excellent! Well furnished, and has two large refrigerators. There are also all the small appliances you could possibly need, including a gas grill outside that has a dedicated gas line so you never run out of propane! It's a joy to cook here. Best of all was the customer service! Management is available 24/7 and the only problems we had (glitch with internet and TV, and hot tub programming issue) were dealt with within a couple of hours at most. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect mountain lake vacation!

Banner Elk house

“Clean with Great Entertainment Features” I booked this rental for a long weekend trip with friends. We LOVED it. Because of the number of people/couples in our party, we needed several bedrooms with combinations of single and double beds and it worked out great. Since it rained for a good part of the weekend, we enjoyed the pool table and the ping pong table. The rental was also conveniently located to the ski resorts. Due to the weather, we didn't get to use the campfire area or the hot tub, but they looked nice as well.

“Peaceful, relaxing, great location” Our stay was so relaxing and Silver Fox is a charming home. The covered back porch is perfect for dining, reading, afternoon naps and listening to the far off sounds of the Tweetsie train in the distance. It is pet friendly with good areas to exercise pets. Silver Fox is an old fashioned cabin with every modern convenience attended. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock is just right with easy access. The rental agent, Lynn at At Your Wit's End was especially accommodating with our last minute plans.

A Perfect Mountain Retreat

Beech Mountain house

3 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 7

“We had a wonderful time” A Perfect Mountain Retreat is the perfect name for this place. The home is absolutely amazing and in really good condition. The location on Beech Mountain was awesome and we loved coming "home" and finding deer in the driveway. It was wonderful waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch while taking in the fresh mountain air. It's in an ideal location right up the road from the Beech Mountain Club, Lake Coffey, and not too far from the Buckeye Recreation Center. The house was not on a major road so there were rarely any vehicles that passed by. The wife and I wouldn't mind owning a place just like it some day. If this place is available the next time we head up to Beech Mountain, we will definitely stay here again.

Hilltop Hideaway

Banner Elk log cabin

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 12

“The most breathtaking place I have ever vacationed.” As you pull up the final climb and the house and mountains crest into view, you will not believe the beauty. This was my first NC mountain vacation and I hold the memory very near to heart. I can not recall a part of the Hilltop Hideaway that I did not like. The house can accomodate a few family groups but is beyond spacious, leaving a variety of places to tuck away and find some privacy. The sun rises facing the front porch and sets out back making it a perfect time to relax in the hammock and take it all in. The kids found Wooly Worms aplenty and me and my wife found a place to connect, bond and make memories that I will take with me forever. As you can tell I can't say enough about how great our experience was here. I can't wait to go back.
