“Stunning apartments in a beautiful town...a hidden gem!” This was the first time I had visited Limoux and I absolutely fell in love with the whole place! The town of Limoux is just 15-20 minutes from the airport and is a beautiful drive through vineyards and stunning countryside. The apartments are beautifully decorated, modern, clean and very comfortable. The interior design is absolutely stunning and the apartments have real character and are finished to a very high standard, with everything you need! They are in a fantastic location- short walking distance from the town square- where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy! The river which runs through the town is beautiful and there are spectacular views from the bridge. I would highly recommend just walking the streets and taking in the relaxing atmosphere and meeting the many friendly locals. There is lots to do- exploring Limoux or taking a short train ride for just 1euro to Carcassonne in which you can explore the magnificent Castle! It really is worth the trip and there are lots of shops and restaurants within the Castle grounds to enjoy. There are also many local festivals in the area and the quality of food and wine is excellent! I will definitely be returning, this was a relaxing, cultural break- with sunshine, wine, great food and a beautiful town. The apartments were perfect and I would highly recommend this hidden gem! I really did fall in love with the place and can't wait to return! I liked every part of my holiday, a real escape to a stunning town- lots of history and culture to soak up! Peaceful, enjoyable and memorable. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

“A perfect French country getaway” Well, the weather could have been a bit warmer, but that was the only flaw in our recent stay at Chez Georges - and it was the last week of winter. The warmth of hosts JP and alix more than made up for chilly nights. Though not the least intrusive, they'd stop by every few days bearing fresh flowers or muffins, local wine or a tip about a local event. The cottage itself surpassed any vacation rental I have known, in its generous size and peaceful setting, beautiful stone walls and comfortable French country furnishings. The small kitchen was stocked with plenty of staples. The house was perfect for just relaxing and reading inside, warmed by the two fireplaces and the view of the 800-year-old church out the window. For our daily expeditions, we mostly stuck to the scenic little villages and hilltop castle ruins within an hour's drive. But one could equally use Chez Georges as a very comfortable base camp for exploring the highlights of southern France and northern Spain.

“This newly refurbished apartment was an absolute joy, we had a r” We had a great time in the apartment which was fabulous with some excellent touches - luxury and comfort (we've even copied a couple of their ideas for home!). It's location is superb with everything you need in easy reach, just a couple of minutes walk from the river on one side and the town square on the other, and a short walk to the railway station. Debbie was most helpful whilst making our reservation, giving good advice on transfers, the location of the apartment and suggestions on what we may like to do during our stay. We will definitely return.
