“The best villa in Crete!” I stayed at the villa in May 2013 with 8 other friends, and it was incredible! The villa was beautiful, huge, clean, well-kept, and Stelios was really amazing. He helped us book dinner reservations in town and organized for a chef to come to the villa one night and cook us a delicious authentic Greek meal. He also helped us arrange to take a boat for a day and beach hop to different beaches around Crete, as well as helped us organize hikes and daily activities. We could not have found a better villa, and look forward to coming back in the near future!

“Returning as soon as possible!” Connie and John's studio is a 5 minute walk from the sea, and the taverns on the water as well as people who run them offer great food and wonderful hospitality to visitors, at extremely affordable prices. In fact, they didn't even ask us to pay for the umbrellas and sun beds and brought our drinks and food right down to our sunbeds for us. Coming from Italy, where we usually pay up to 25 Euros a day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, that says a lot. The studio is perfect for two, though we managed to get three people into it by placing a third mattress into the room thanks to the caretakers that added one for us, as our third traveller was a last minute addition. It was crowded with three but definitely doable. The aC worked well, and we were all very happy to spend a too short week in the studio with its sea views. No mosquitos! Not one. Yet another plus. In fact, I'm returning in October, though I just went in august. Luckily, I'm just a 2 hour flight away, and thought this was my first trip to Crete, it definitely won't be my last. The town of Kalamki is about 7 kilometers from the major city of Chania, a lovely once Venetian outpost, with it's colorful markets, shops, and eateries. The beach in Kalamaki is somewhat protected from wind and waves, and pretty calm and clear, though even more spectacular beaches can be reached by car and tour bus, anywhere from one to two hour's away. Plenty of things to do on the island, and a car is the best way to go, though there are plenty of other options. More populated beach towns with large hotels and droves of tourists are set just off to both sides of Kalamaki but my instincts served me well and I felt as though I had landed in the perfect spot. I can't say enough. I'm defninitely a fan. Just about everyone speaks English fluently on the island, which is also a plus if you're concerned about the language.

“Grecian Getaway” We chose this spot for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with our decision. Haris was the perfect host and a complete pleasure to work with. Our flight was delayed and we came in around 11 at night, but he stayed up to meet us and knowing it was our honeymoon, he had fresh flowers, chocolates, local foods, and champagne waiting. He came by the next couple days with impeccable timing to teach us about the nearby sites and answer any questions we may have. The beaches by the villa are must sees, with warm water, friendly people, and amazing taverns (the food on Crete is unmatched and we didn't have a single bad meal). We recommend renting a car and spending at least one day just driving around with no destination in mind because the spectacular views and quaint towns surrounding the villa are reward enough. After a day of exploring and adventure it was perfect to come back to the comfort and luxury of the villa - comfy beds, great water pressure, screen doors in every room, and all the amenities of home. We would come back here in a heart beat and stay longer if we could. Really an amazing and memorable honeymoon. “Above any expectation” We spent a fabolous week in Crete at Villa Pounentes. We were in 3 couples and the experience was above expectation. The owner, Haris, was very kind and ready to give us suggestions and help on any situation. The Villa is simply wonderful: wide rooms (each with a bathroom full furnished nearby), bright living room (with stereo hi-fi, tv lcd, comfortable sofa), functional kitchen and from anywhere great views on the Kissamos Bay. Outside a beatiful swimming pool. The Villa was very clean and a cleaning service occurs every 3 or 4 days. The Villa is located on a hill near Nopigia (5km from Kissamos) and there aren't nice beach near. However, with a car available, this is a good start point to reach all the beautiful locations of west Crete (Balos, Elafonissi, Falasarna..). We absolutely recommend this rental to anyone wants to visit Crete.

“Cosy hotel near a very nice beach” Elmas Dream Apartments is a small but very nice hotel. If you want to relax there is absolutely no stress there. A very relaxed atmosphere and Andreas (the owner) is always willing to help you if neccesary. And serve you a Greek beer or another drink at the bar. It is not in the center but you can easily walk or catch a bus there. And just behind it there is a fantastic Beach. Dont hesitate to go there!

“perfect holiday stay” A really good place to stay with a family, lots of privacy , good rooms and beds, comfortable living room and kitchen.Very nice owners.

“Haven of tranquility” Splendid villa in beautiful garden with nice pool and view. Catched some hot autumn sun in October. Had a great stay! The villa is perfect for discovering Western Crete. Located close to the village of Kolymbari, but you will need a car to get around. Facilities are modern and the villa is well kept and clean. Vegetable garden and the local welcome basket are delicious! The host family is very welcoming and helps guests to make the most of the stay at Villa Filira. Absolutely recommend!

“Wonderful week in crete” We stayed at Villa Sirocco at the beginning of July 2013. The villa is fantastic ,the views breath taking and you won't find a more friendly host than Haris (the owner), he made sure everything was just right for me and my young family nothing was too much trouble for him. The location of the villa could not be better, close enough to the main road to travel the island yet still just far enough away for peace and tranquility. My five year old son loved the pool and my wife and I loved the sunsets . We have stayed in different villas for the last five years and this has been the best so far. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to all.
