“It was very peaceful and relaxing” The service was very good the home was very clean with the added bonus of ensuite bedrooms. The plasma screen tv was brilliant as was the game console. The local pub was really good and the food was excellent! Beautiful scenery and lovely walks. Enjoyed the quietness and the welcoming pack. There was nothing to dislike.

“Five Star excellence” Elder Bank turned out to be everything as stated in the brochure and more. The accomodation and location were superb. The package of "essential" groceries was very welcoming on arrival, as was the brilliant amount of local information. We throughly enjoyed the may walks and superb scenery we experienced. Everything about this holiday was excellent.

“Breathtakingly beautiful place to be” Cosy, warm little cottage, perfect for two.Owner friendly but not intrusive. Far away from noise and traffic, the only sounds were of birds singing and baa-ing sheep. Perfect for walking or visiting the best of the area.

“Ideal for a get-away from it all break” The cottage was one of four located around a farmyard on a sheep farm. The farm was was within walking distance of two pubs and a small shop. General shopping is in Hope about 5 miles distant.The cottage is in a scenic setting with easy access to walking routes and open access land. The cottage had everything to make a comfortable stay. The owners were attentive without being intrusive. we should recommend a stay at the cottage.

“Stunning location and comfortable accommodation” We experienced a most relaxing week in stunning surroundings. The owners were most helpful and accommodating. They were also most reassuring when faced with our vehicle being snowed in for 5 days and arranged for local farming friends to plough an escape route. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

“Fantastic location for walking if you are fit and able” Relatively small cottage. Some good features some average. Great view of Dale from rear Garden / patio. Helpful neighbours. Very hilly - not suitable for older visitor or with young children in my view. No car access. Dog friendly location. Excellent pub up the hill

“Location, location, location” Lovely house, well equipped, very comfortable, in a near perfect High Peaks location. Loved it! Kitchen and bedrooms (all en suite) were great, pleasant walk to village of Edale, great circular walks from the house. Minor niggle, had to go outside to pick up the wi-fi from the farmhouse. Took some finding when we arrived.

“Warm welcome in snowy conditions” The house is very well equipped and it is conveniently placed next door to the local Spa who are also the key holders. The house is wonderfully warm and cosy. A range of Dvds / games are provided. The bedrooms are a good size. The bathroom is clean with separate shower and large bath. Parking is not a problem at all and there are lovely walks from the front door. Local pubs/shops are within walking distance.

“Lovely stay” Brookley Barn is a pretty cottage to enjoy your holiday. The atmosphere at the farm is very casual but not intrusive. There is always someone who wants a friendly chat or you wants to show you around the farm. Children will have a great time here. Keep in mind that Brookley Barn is on a working farm. There are cows and chickens wandering around, the pig's are nearby, there are dogs and cats who love attention. But it is a tidy farm and the animals also know their place. They will not be of any inconvenience, we have just utterly enjoyed it. The cottage itself is complete and very neat. Nearby there is plenty to do and see. Definitely recommended!

Chelmorton is a good location to start from, there is nothing in the village except for a nice pub with good food & friendly proprieters.We were allowed in the cottage early as there was no-one in before us owners were very nice & helpful cottage was comfortable tele was a bit "iffy" but no real problem .
