“Casa Del arbol Cantando” We give Casa Del arbol Cantando a 5 Star+ Rating! We stayed with a group of friends from 12/17 to 12/28/12 and can't say enough about the condo, the location and the caring, personale and involved owners, Sherwin and Peg. We have rented a lot of condos over the years in different locations and this one stands out as one of the best ever. The condo is gorgeous, the location is breathtaking. Waking up to that view every morning was amazing. Our quads are in the best shape ever after those breathtakingly beautiful hikes up and down the 76 stairs to LaRopa! We loved the quality touches, the gorgeous dishes, glassware, copper bottom cookware (could have used a baking sheet however)and artsy touches. The signature "arbol cantando" is a huge wow factor! The ambience is perfect. Having 2 patios was delightful and both are a plant and flower lovers feast! Dona Rosario was a wonderful personable housekeeper who makes great breakfasts! The five of us had plenty of room to relax and spread out. Most of all what sets this condo apart is the caring and personable owners. They were great at answering questions ahead of time but called while we were there to make sure everything was ok. We were sharing photos back and forth and made new friends in the process of renting. All of their recommendations for restaurants and experiences were spot on. I'm sure they make all their guests feel this special! We took the bus often to explore the great restaurants and our favorite coffee shop in Zihua - it's easy to get the bus just a block from the bottom of the stairs and at 6.5 pesos just riding the bus was a fun local adventure. Also from the condo it's a great hike over to Playa Las Gatas - again the best combination of workout and then relaxing great beach, fish tacos and cerveza once there. We would highly recommend this great condo to anyone looking for a memorable Zihua experience!

“Fabulous place for a large group” We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was in the Amara Penthouse. Four couples stayed for eight days and the space was great. We never felt crowded or like we were on top of each other. The private terrace was amazing. The views were spectacular and the added space was perfect for coffee in the morning while we planned our day, or using the grill in the evening to cook the fish we bought at the fresh fish market in town. The location is wonderful – located in the center of everything it seemed. We didn’t have far to walk if we wanted to go into Amara and we could walk the beach in both directions. If you look at the pictures and think the penthouse is nice, wait until you actually arrive – the pictures don’t do it justice. We found the owners extremely helpful and easy to work with. They offered suggestions on things to do and answered every question we posed. We highly recommend this rental property and hope to one day be lucky enough to stay there again.

“A gratifying, relaxing,enjoyable vacation.” What a great vacation spot! It exelled our expectations,gorgeous well kept grounds, very clean, modern comfy accomodations. Loved being so close to the ocean, plus the soft sand beach, which would take you either way to oceanside restaurants, they were all good. So relaxing with beautiful sunsets, falling asleep to the ocean waves.It was all there! Raoul and Laurie were very graciously helpfull when we needed anything, including letting us know when the venders were at the gate should we want any fruit, veggies or fresh baked bread and tortillas. The knowledge of being secure in this gated villa was an absolute plus for me. It doesn't get much better than this. A little taste of heaven. Highly recommend it. We will be back!!

“Spectacular retreat/ rejuvenating!!!” After first discovering this place through family, I have since vacationed her every chance I get with my husband. And now since having a baby we now bring her along as well as the place is right on the beach, the pool is to die for and everything you could ever think of is taken care if for you. The staff, Carla and Marco are a delight if we decided to stay in Carla would make our meals... Marco would keep everything looking just a stunning as when we arrived... The house can be your own retreat or get down and invite your friends and have bob fires on the beach an let loose... Your close enough to walk to Marthas a local restaurant on the beach. If you surf you just have to wake up and walk down the beach to the right... If you need to hit up the locals and get your groove on the little town is just a short trip down the road... With amazing local crafts and restaurants... Boraborracha on a Sunday night is the place to watch some local dancing eat drink and be merry... We've recommended this house to many friends one if which loved it so much he returned and got married there!!! Everyone gets their own villa with their own open air bathroom The "ariba suite" is like living in your own jungle tree house. The "domed" suite has an insane massive open bathroom you can see the ocean from every suite and the hot tub is perfect for that afternoon dip after your surf or horseriding adventure. Can not wait to return with a bunch if friends in March 2011. To celebrate a 40th birthday. If your looking to get a way for a peaceful yoga retreat, surf, wedding or to just mix with some local Mexican culture and do nothing but lounge by the ocean/ pool this is your nirvana. “Winter Delight in Sun and Sand!” I've been vacationing at the Casa Bugombilias for 15 years, every Chicago winter!! The appeal is the view of Zihuatanejo, its white beaches and night skyline. Any of the available 3 suites will give the opened, fresh ocean air for your relaxation. The casa is kept very clean and your supplies are available as needed.Staff are at hand. The Mater king bed has mosquito netting around it to give you a good nights sleep.High season is best of weather but any time is a get-away time!! Pool with its jacuzzi for water activity and relaxation too.Cabana at pool side for your drinks and lunch? Little to do but "unwind" and take in the city. Shopping or Dining at several Bay restaurants will delight your day! It's 20 minute drive from airport at #7 almacen street, up from the "ol Therese Marie" hotel. Ixtapa is minutes away if you'd like to try golf or tennis?

“Perfect” This was the perfect getaway for us (5 people, 3 generations)! The location couldn't be better, the house was absolutely perfect, the pool is incredible. On top of that Laco and Mirella are wonderful and so helpful. They looked after us so well and we so appreciated their cooking and shopping for us. We could not have been happier with our week away. Being able to be on the beach within about 100 paces was so nice. further to that, access to 2 other beaches within minutes was great. we would go to the beach for several hours, have lunch and drinks at one of the many beach restaurants and then retire to our own private patio and pool over-looking the bay! All of us would go back in a hearbeat. Last but not least, the owners, Dave and Melissa, were so accomodating and gracious. If you want to relax, enjoy the beach, have some privacy, and watch the sun set from your personal infinity pool, stay here.

“It was amazing!!! Better than I could've imagined.” When we first arrived the weather was like a serene tropical Summer. No shirt was needed until the return trip home. The photos I had seen of the property did no justice as the actual location was 10x more beautiful. The land was well kept and the staff were exceptional. I couldn't get over how awesome the landscaping was. During our stay we ventured around the town visiting it's shops and delicious bistros, and even took part of a local turtle releasing ceremony at Roberto's. We also ventured deeper into the city for a kayak tour and river hike that was really a sight for sore eyes Horse back riding was one of my favorite activities. Trotting down the coastline on a horse is something I will always remember.

“A week in Paradise” We had a wonderful relaxing week. All the tips and suggestions that Barbara Tucker left were the best. We loved the kitchen!!! Altho we had most meals out it was lovely being able to fix our slushy drinks and snacks for just kicking back and relaxing. Definately a place to put on the list to go back to only next time it has to be at least 2 weeks.
