“Glacier National Park Trip” The owners of the home, Ryan & Sarah, provided us with a beautiful & very clean home. They also provided a lot of extra information on Glacier National Park & the surrounding area. Information on best hikes, other places to visit in the area, favorite restaurants & shopping, etc. The scenery in Glacier is spectacular & the home is conveniently located approximately 20 miles from the West Glacier entrance. My wife & I highly recommend this home & dealing with Ryan & Sarah was extremely easy & pleasant. If you fly into the Glacier Park airport in Kalispell you are only 2 or 3 miles from the home. In our experience this is a great place to stay.

“Luxury with Rustic Charm” Our extended family spent a week in Robert's wonderful log home over July 4th. We had sixteen people, so we separated for sleeping, but spent our communal time spreading out in this gorgeous and comfortable log home. Every night we had a fire in the fire pit and we loved cooking dinner on the incredible commercial stove each night. Becky the caretaker that lives next door was so helpful, she even brought us extra lawn chairs so we could all sit out on the porch. We loved the feeling of living in the wilderness, but with easy access to Whitefish and Glacier we could still experience all the area had to offer. Thank you so much for a comfortable, luxurious place to stay.

“A Forest Bungalow!” My family and I had a great time at Ptarmigan, Big Mountain-Whitefish, MT. We did it all! Went to Glacier National Park, enjoyed Big Mountain, toured the town and relaxed in the hottub! Our favorite part was making meals in a house in the woods. It was so magical being surrounded by cedar trees on a mountainside. Thanks for the memorable stay!

“We loved it!” Cosy Cottage is a very nice place to stay. We really enjoyed our 3 nights there. It is close enough to the sites in the area to be convenient but it is tucked away in a country setting so it is quiet and refreshing. It is private and extremely clean, neat and well kept. Immaculate, Well-Stocked House

The house was spotless and the yard impeccable. The kitchen was better stocked than those of most people I know. I suggest you go to the house to check out the pantry and cupboards before buying groceries and supplies because many of the items you will need are already there. For example, you probably will not need to buy any spices or condiments. In addition, they had several coolers that could be borrowed. The owners were very accessible. They came by at least three times during our week-long stay, but they were not intrusive. We also called them a few times to ask some questions, and they were more than happy to provide information. They will send you a detailed packet of information well before your trip that includes info on the house, restaurants in the area, and day trips. They also have a copy of this at the house so you don’t need to bring it with you. They have laundry detergent and dish soap. All the furniture was very comfortable, including the bedding and the patio furniture. It was relaxing to come “home” after a long day’s hike in Glacier. Almost every evening, we sat on the patio, enjoyed the mountain views, and watched the sun go down. Having an office was nice for the two in our party who wanted to have a “working vacation”. The only problem we had was with the desktop computer. We couldn’t figure out how to pull out the keyboard to a more comfortable position, and once we accessed the internet, we could only access what looked like the home page for the local TV station or newspaper. We were unable to access Google or any other site on the internet. But of course, whenever the owners came by, we didn’t think to ask them about it. I’m sure if we did, they would have worked to solve the problem immediately. Because we all had smart phones or laptop computers and the WiFi worked just fine, we didn’t really need the desktop computer anyway. The house is 35-45 minutes from the West Glacier entrance of Glacier National Park. Be aware that, once you enter the park, there is almost another 45-minute drive from the entrance to Logan’s Pass. Since the parking lot at Logan’s Pass is full by 9:00, you will want to leave home by 7:30 if you are going there. The drive was easy, though, so it didn’t seem as long as it really was. The Super 1 grocery store in Columbia Falls, between the house and the park, is good for buying sandwiches for picnicking in the park.
