“Private paradise!” I had the opportunity to travel to Utila, Honduras and stayed at La Mayur. The house is newly built, and has a lot to offer, from the spacious area with a wrap around deck that gives a gorgeous view of the island, surrounded by lush, tropical plants, and being able to have a lot of peace and quiet, and privacy! The location is great because it's about an 8 minute walk to the main road. The island itself is not big, so even if you don't want to walk, a tuk-tuk can take you anywhere for about 18 lempira ($1)! At the house my favourite place to sit was the swing outside on the tree, while hearing the soothing sounds of the water stream going into the pond. The house has a lot of room for entertaining, with a spacious kitchen. Perhaps the best part of the trip was getting a chance to meet a lot of the locals in an island that has tourists, but keeps its authenticity. The people are really friendly, and you can find yourself making conversation with the waitress in the restaurant, the the souveneir shops, and just about anywhere else! Looking forward to returning!

“Great place for a group” We stayed with 10 men on a guys' trip August 2014, and there was plenty of room. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Recreational equipment was available (such as kayaks), which we took advantage of. Washer and dryer on site with no problems. Long dock right off the beach for snorkeling. Rooms were good. AC worked great. TV had plenty of channels. View is beautiful. Pool is a bit small but perfectly adequate - not for lap swimming, but for hanging out and enjoying the great view. Service was prompt when we had a small issue or two. This was our base for several scuba trips. Met us at the airport and made sure we were taken care of with luggage / transportation. Watch out for noseeums, which is not within the control of the owners. Would definitely recommend.

“Great experience” The condo was the perfect place for our time in Roatan. Walking distance to all attractions and restaurants helped us to avoid the need for a rental car. We travel very often around Central america and this condo had the absolute best customer service we have ever encountered. From the helpful app, to the check-in process, we were delighted. But, by far the best was the products available in the condo. You never know what you will get when you rent a condo but this one came with everything we needed...all cleaning products, laundry deter, dish soap, sunblock, towels, paper products, chairs, kayaks, a great care package with a six pack of beer and many other helpful items we didn't need to worry about acquiring. The only reason I gave this condo one star fewer than perfect is that they could ramp up security during the day. There is a night guard but several time, we had vendors come right up to our slider bothering us. And, one morning, a very drunk boat driver came three times asking for $$$. One time he even sat on our patio furniture for a while. We weren't really sure what to do about it. Definitely not the owner's fault but day security would have helped. Other than that, it was a great experience on the most beautiful island in the world!

“Amazing Ocean Villa - Perfect!” My family and I were lucky enough to stay at this villa over a long Valentine's Day weekend. We could not have been more impressed with the unit or the entire property of Pristine Bay. The place is brand new, so everything is immaculate, and it has this wonderful smell from all the Honduran wood used throughout. It felt like slipping into a brand new luxury car! The villa is stunning, and everything is just so perfectly appointed. In nearly every room, you get views of the ocean. Everyone's bedroom had beautiful, vaulted, dark wood ceilings and there were 3 full bathrooms with the same wonderful, walk-in showers in each. It made it so easy for all of us to transition from the beach/pool to dinner at one of the restaurants in the clubhouse. We dined at aqua for our Valentine's dinner and everything was awesome - they greeted us with champagne and roses for the ladies, and finished with a dessert that was out of this world. Speaking of out of this world, the gourmet pizza at Sky Bar is possibly the best pizza we've ever had. All of Roatan was amazing. We can't wait to come back and explore some more, and take another shot at the golf course. We will definitely stay in this villa again - no question. You just can't beat waking up to that turquoise view through the giant, sliding glass door in the bedroom, and then sitting out with our morning coffee, next to our private pool and our own private putting green! Such luxury!

“Fabulous Trip” We stayed here for 7 days and loved every minute . The view is amazing, the rooftop is the best part. Spacious condo ,there were 6 of us who stayed there. We walked to West End everyday had great food, we did have Chef Susan come one night which is well worth it. Went to West Bay by water taxi. We went scuba diving, zip lining, swam with Dolphins, and just relaxed on the rooftop. We started each morning and ended each night on rooftop well worth the extra money .

“Best home in West End” Perfect location to feel, like a local. Walk to local shops, bars, etc and great selection of eateries. If you prefer to eat at home there is an excellent super market on your way there from the airport and the kitchen has all the amenities you need to make a great meal. Also, you can hire Susan the local chef and she is fantastic. Home is spacious with a great view of the beach which is at the entrance of the home. Pool is perfect for lounging. Rooms are comfortable and there is wifi that works great for those that need to stay connected. Service by Pedro who takes care of the grounds is outstanding as well. Best sunsets in town. This was my second visit to this home and I plan on returning as soon as I can.

“Stunning condo with all amenities.” We were delighted with our stay in this condo. Service is first rate, especially Juliette at the desk. We have stayed at many condos all over the world but honestly say never had one that was better equipped. It is basically 3 master bath/bedrooms with an additional 3/4 bath and 2 outdoor showers. Rinse pool and private pool were much enjoyed and best, honestly best view and sunset on the island.

“Amazing Vacation on the beautiful island of Roatan” My husband and I stayed at the Villas Del Plays unit #5 for two weeks with another couple. We had a wonderful time and spent a lot of time on the rooftop either floating in the private pool or just gazing out at the brilliant blue ocean. We snorkelled just out from the dock in front of the unit but did find that the water taxi traffic was very busy and dangerous. There were two kayaks at our disposal and we paddled out to the edge of the reef and tied off on one of the buoys. Villa Del Playa is right in front of the Blue Channel snorkelling site Beautiful!! We booked on line and communications with Roatan Life was always prompt. Mark Flannagan arranged our taxi pickup at the airport for 4 for 25.00 american and for an additional 10.00 we stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few groceries. Our driver was Channin Boddine, he made us feel welcome and very safe. Channin is a hard working Island resident raising a young family with extensive knowledge of the island and it's history. We also booked an Island road trip with him for 100.00 for the 4 of us which we enjoyed very much. I would suggest that if your group drinks a lot of beer this type of trip would be when you should pick up case lots of beer from the distributor on the other side of the island...very cheap that way :). Everything needs to be carried up the three flights of stairs...great exercise! There is a young man Eldin working for the property that helped us carry in luggage groceries etc. He worked very hard keeping the property clean and running smoothly. I was concerned about safety issues in Honduras but found that I felt very safe on the Island...just don't do stupid things, no different than Calgary or any other city for that matter. Do bring lots of bug spray with deet...and use it plus sun screen and keep applying it. It wears off especially in the water. We booked an all day catamaran snorkelling trip through Mark with the Stray Cats and had a wonderful time, highly recommend them
