“Fantastic weekend in lake arrowhead!” We had a wonderful time in arrowhead at this cabin with a group of friends. The house was huge, in wonderful shape, and the owners were on call as soon as we got there for any questions. The only issue we had was that the ipod hookup didn't work, but the owners were very attentive in helping us configure a different music system. Overall, awesome. Bring your own ipod speakers, and if it is snowing bring tire chains or they won't let you drive up (we had a few guests who got stuck). We would 100% go back to this house! Perfect weekend!

“Wonderful Place” We went as a family in the beginning of summer for a few days away. Everything was as described. The dining area was perfect to fit all of us together for a family dinner. The deck is perfect to sit and relax with a great view of lake. Everything you need for a BBQ was provided. The living room has a large fireplace , which we used even in the summer! The dock was a little bit of a walk, but well worth it. It is right on the lake with a table to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner was very accessible for any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely rent the place again! Very reasonable for a home so close to lake.

“The perfect get away!” We were looking for a place to escape the city and found this perfect cabin in Lake arrowhead. So many places are either very modern (not much of a country feel) or too cabin like (very uncomfortable). This cabin is the best of both worlds. It has all the comforts and space you would want and has an authentic cabin feel to it. Although it is so conveniently located by the village, when you are inside you feel miles away from everything. The bedrooms are a nice size so a whole family can feel they have room without being cramped. Great fireplace, Tv's and cozy furniture to snuggle up with a good book or chat with friends. The area is great with a lot to do. There are nice walks, the lake, boating and heaps of down time. You can easily walk for a bite to eat, get groceries, or just look around a local store. A short drive away is a movie theater and even more stores and restaurants. So look no further, this is the best you will find. I would highly recommend it.

About Crestline, California

In the heart of Crestline, lies Lake Gregory—the thriving center of the city. The lake may be 'artificial' but that doesn't mean it's not beautiful. Take the Lake Drive and travel over the dam that forms the lake to see the calm waters in all their glory.

From Crestline, it's easy to take advantage of everything Lake Gregory has to offer, including the Lake Gregory Recreational Park. Here you can swim, zoom down water slides, and follow the trails that go all the way round the lake.

The warm, Mediterranean climate means this is a great place to visit pretty much all year round. And it's not too far from a number of cities if you just want to go on a day-trip.

What to do

We suggest spending at least one day of your trip out on the water. But you really should spend a week in Crestline to make sure you’ve tried everything at least once.

It's a great spot for fishing, so make sure you bring your rod and tackle, or hire some equipment from the local shop.

You won't see power boats on Lake Gregory, but rowboats, paddle boards and water trikes are allowed. Take one out for a spin and see how it goes. Try kayaking too—it's great fun, especially on these calm waters.

Prefer on-land activities? Try one of the hiking and biking trails around the lake. There are even exercise stations as you go around if you really want to test your mettle.

If you're looking for a more relaxed vacation, lie down and soak up the sun on the shoreline. Alternatively, go shopping in the Old Town area—you could even scout out the best dining spots for the evening.

Top travel tips

The town hosts celebrations throughout the year—Memorial Day, Labor Day and Independence Day to name but a few. Check online, or at the visitors’ center, to find out what's going on.

To get here, drive from San Benardino. It's only 20 minutes away, but with the scenic views and lush green trees, you'll feel a world away from the busy city.
