“Such a peaceful place!” This property was even lovelier than the photos depicted! The view was out of this world. Although it was a bit away from the city center, the relaxed ambiance made the extra driving worthwhile. The pool was so welcome, clean, and only minimally chlorinated. A lovely outdoor bbq and pizza oven added to our very well-stocked kitchen amenities. The owner lived on the premises and extremely welcoming and helpful. Maid service three times a week was an added bonus!

“A super home away from home !” We recently spent 2 super weeks in villa caya luna. If your looking for a place away from the high rise hotel, with all the comfort you need for a romantic vacation, villa caya luna is the place to be ! Still very good situated close to the centre with the restaurants and nice local hot spots like west deck and pinchos grill. The villa is very comfortable fully airconditioned, has a nice private pool and a BBQ. Even if we didn't feel like going out we had a great time just hanging around the pool with enough space, sun and shadow. We will definItely come back, thank you !

“Amazing location, a perfect place to stay while in Quito” My wife and child stayed in this amazing apartment for just over 2 weeks this summer. The location is perfect, it's quiet and walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and La Mariscal Craft market. We felt extremely safe as the police station is right around the block and both groceries and banks were close by. All of the appliances were brand new, we had a new gas stove/oven, refrigerator, even a new washer & dryer. The apartment furniture was also all brand new and tastefully matched to a modern Ecuadorian style. We had all the amenities - cable TV, wifi, even a phone for local calls if needed. Both bedrooms were spacious (the master bedroom is huge!) The hosts were extremely pleasant and we had a simply incredible stay. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone wishing to visit/stay in Quito!

“Most enjoyable tropical get away” We stayed in the Cranford's Toucan Suite. Our friends stayed in the upper level suite. The house sits on pristine jungle - the sound and sight of rare birds is a daily occurrence. We could easily walk to the river, explore the grounds which abound with exotic plants.Toucan Suite is the larger of the two units and is fully equipped with linens, kitchen utensils. We were able to borrow and exchange with our upstairs companions for the items that we needed (juicer, coffee grinder, garlic press) but it would be nice to have both kitchens equally stocked. The stove and refrigerator worked well. The issues that we had with staying at the Toucan Suite would be that the fans need to be upgraded. There are two ceiling fans that function well, although the "blue bedroom" fan makes too much noise to sleep through. There were two portable fans; one of them was okay but the other one barely moved the blades and eventually went comatose. Fortunately our friends in the upper unit had powerful ceiling fans and two super powerful portable fans and they lent us one which saved us! I strongly suggest the Cranfords upgrade the fans in the Toucan Suite. The lovely wooden doors that lead from the main floor to the porch area need to be fixed. They are off their track so we were unable to close them when the hot eastern sun shone through. The house would be much cooler if these functioned well. Blondie and Michael have a sign asking that we remove our shoes before entering and I complied with this request the first night. I found the floor really dirty and in the evening the ants, frogs and other insects would come in so we kept our shoes on. The house could use a good cleaning and some general upkeep. The upstairs suite seemed cleaner and because of the fans, cooler. The views from the upstairs suite are to die for. As the Cranfords note, the Internet seldom works consistently. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend the Toucan Suite.

“A Nice Slice Of Heaven” We just returned from spending the month of February in Gorgona. Tom and Karen have this 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo prepared with everything. The kitchen is equipped with all you need and the space was great for the 4 of us. Wi-fi was easy and having access to free long distance in North america and a great Weber bbq. The view from the balcony overlooking the ocean on one side and the mountains and fishing village was great. We met wonderful people on our morning walks -an incredible beach and only a 10 minute walk to the fishing village for a fresh catch of sea bass. Just a few minutes to walk to the local sports bar, La Ruina - sit at the bar - and the bus stop is right across the street - 30 cents to the main road! Cabs were easy - the guard would call for us or you can set up the cell phone Tom and Karen have available and for $3. we drove into Coronado with 3 supermarkets - Super 99, the The Rey and and the El Machetazo - best produce We took a bus from the main road into the albrook Mall in Panama City - $2.50. Fyi - when you return, book your ticket in the Mall for Santa Clara and get off at Gorgona - you will need to buy a 'superpass card'' for $1.50 as well, not just the bus tickets. If you need help - Tom and Karen have a wonderful property manager, Carlo - he was there for us, when one of our companions forgot her insulin! There is also a new clinic in Coronado - the Doctor speaks English - $20 to see him! They have a very good dentist in Coronado close to Super 99. Day trip - definitely El Vallee - cooler - great market and busy on a Sunday. Grab Oscar for a tour of the Old City and the Canal - he picked us up at the airport - great English and sense of humour and a wealth of info. “A terrific place to stay” This condo has all the amenities anyone would want. The location is a 10+. The balcony at the top of the 5th floor has amazing views of the city and surrounds. We would watch the skies change moment to moment and walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Having a laptop there was the icing on the cake. Plenty of cooking utensils. The beds were so comfortable. Laundry facilities perfect as we stayed 6 weeks and didn't pack a lot. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!
