“Perfect for a relaxing weekend!” Joe and Pat's cottage is great! The cottage was very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend - in the winter, so I can't comment on the water fun but I'll bet it's great! I can say the fireplace worked just perfectly. Joe and Pat are great to work with and were extremely helpful with information about restaurants and various activities in the Finger Lakes. We certainly hope to be back again - maybe when it's warmer and we can take advantage of the beautiful lakefront area at the cottage. Thanks for sharing your great cottage, Joe and Pat!

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Poorman's alaska” My group loves to fish, I can't take the time and I will not spend the money to go to alaska or BC to flyfish when I can come to Feeder Creek Lodge and catch 30 pound salmon, 10 to 20 pound Steelhead and Browns that are as long as your arm. The fishing is out of this world and so are Bill and Barbra Van Wormer. We have been going to FCL for 20 some years and start looking forward to the next trip the day we get back from the one we are on. Bill and Barb are the nicest people that you would ever want to meet and that is from a Southern boy, You can have the hotels and the high priced lodges. Feeder Creek is like going to a home reunion! “Unique and beautiful...heavy on the character...” I'm a frequent visitor of the 'ette. I love the location (right off the main drag) but enjoy its solitude (wooded median...long drive way). Its sort of like a studio apartment in the woods. its close to many of the wineries, The Red Newt and Stone Cat restaurants and a gas/quick mart. When Wine tasting its easy to swing by and change clothes/use the facilities/take a nap (comfy beds) and unload your recent purchases. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds are spacious with a nice walking trail. For what you get for the price its really a great secret. So why share a secret? I'm not there long enough or frequent enough to keep it to myself...like a cool song, I shouldn't be singing it alone (especially if you've heard my voice).

“Great stay!” Super clean house with great access to the lake! Quiet residential area with nice places to walk and enjoy the views. Saw a beautiful sunset - close proximity to some wonderful wineries! Would love to come back someday!

“Great house right on the lake, lots of sleeping space” Clean, nice home, with lots of beds, good TV, and WiFi right on the lake. Good parking for a few cars too. Owners were prompt to correspond via email.

“Home away from Home....the Spot o' Gold!” My family and I loved our stay at the Spot o' Gold cottage! Evie was an excellent host who greeted us upon arrival to provide us with all the information we needed. She provides you with everything you may possibly need! My children loved walking the creek in the back to search for fossils and salamanders!! The porch was just magical and a perfect place to relax and view Evie's fun filled gardens! There is something new around each corner. With all of the thoughtful ingenious decoration in her gardens and throughout her home, you can't help but be inspired! We would spend our mornings by the gorgeous lake and our nights star gazing and enjoying smores by the firepit! My daughter fell in love with, Pippa, the cat!! It was a truly enjoyable experience and highly recommended! -Kerry L.
