“Beautiful Family Memories” We stayed in the Snow Basin condo in March, 2011 with our 6 and 7 year old children for a fabulous family ski trip. The condo was beautifully appointed and we had everything we needed and more. It was very convenient to all of the ski areas as well as to the grocery store and restaurants. For a little more variety it was just a short drive to indoor sky-diving, movie theaters, and a wonderful children's museum. We were glad to see them during a day when the snow was falling so heavily that we did not want to ski. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. The complex was very quiet and we were never disturbed by loud neighbors like the time we went to Taos, NM to ski. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home for a family vacation!

“Bighorn Cottage - love it!” We have stayed in Bighorn Cottage twice and absolutely love it! It is so comfortable and homelike. We love the sleeping porch area, and the new windows were wonderful! The open TV, Dining and sleeping area make it so much fun to be with friends and family at all times. We also enjoyed the privacy that the bedroom offered. The walk in closet helped with hanging our dress clothes, and our hiking clothes. I loved having a washer and dryer there, just in case, too! The kitchen was great for storing food and eating in. When we did leave the cottage, the outside hammock, chairs and center community area were our favorite spot though! We could read and still be a part of the gathering, and the evening activities were awesome. Carolyn & Terry are excellent hosts, and we look forward to our return visit soon! We also enjoyed the location - we walked downtown and got to visit the local shops without any problems. The visitor's information center was close enough to walk to as well. The hiking was perfect, too!

“Perfect family getaway” We had a great trip with our two little kids. The condo is updated, spacious and spotless. We will definitely be back next year!!!

“The perfect spot” My wife and I, and our best friends decided to take a weeks winter vacation in Flagstaff. We were looking for a good hotel when we decided to see if we could find a cabin or condo. Luckily this was one of the first we looked at, and all I can say is we are happy we picked it. It is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a successful vacation. We especially loved the fireplace for the cold mountain nights, and it didn't hurt that the 55 inch 3D tv was right next to it:). The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, and is the perfect launching pad to everything whether it is Flagstaff, Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon or any of the many points of interest. Btw, Steve the owner is great and wants his quests to have a great time. Thanks Steve for the great vacation.

“The most wonderful week” We had the most wonderful week staying at your beautiful cabin. There is so much to do around that area, first we went for a hike (there is a hiking trail right off the cabin to Green Mountain Falls. Green Mountain Falls is a delightful little town just a mile away with great stores and restaurants. Later in the evening we went to dinner at a local mom and pop restaurant in Cascade called "Wines of Colorado", great place that really gives you the small town experience with great customer service. The cabin itself is gorgeous and really has all the accommodations you can think of or need. It was always nice to come back to the cabin and just sit on the deck and listen to the Fountain Creek in the evening and enjoy a beautiful mountain view from the deck. Best vacation we have had in a long time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mountain home with us. My only regret is that we had to leave on Sunday!

“Perfect location and Excellent accomidations” This property is marketed well. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect location for our use of Pineview Resevoir, including the very short walk to the beach. The onsite access to swimming pool and tennis courts were a great perk. The condo is well furnished and supplied and is in excellent conidition. It was perfect space for our two families. We hope to be back next year.

“Great Mountain Vacation” If you want seclusion,beautiful views,walks in the forest this is the place for you. We also brought our 4 wheelers & rode in the National Forest just across the road it was great. The home has everything you can think of, very cozy feel. I lit the fireplace every morning, great to wake up to a warm fire. But I spent most of my time on the deck taking in the views and watching the grandkids enjoying the hot tub.Everyone had a great time. “Great people, great cabin....just wish it had snowed!” Overall everything was great. It was a fun, cozy, whimsical, family-friendly cabin. It was clean, and the owners were very welcoming. The grounds would have been PERFECT had it snowed....would have been a dreamland with private hills for young children to sled and a fabulous big open area for them to play in the snow....of course, it didn't while we were there...so that was VERY disappointing....but of course no fault of the owners. There is a wooded area for the kids to play in with "tree platforms"...no roofs. The kids had fun with that. Also, a great outdoor camp fire area. Just wish there was a bigger place for a large family table to eat together. But, again, otherwise everything was great.

“The perfect place to stay!” Beautiful scenery and lots of space to relax in this wonderful place in Pagosa. The house had everything you could ask for an was very clean and neat with lots of brochures of places to visit.

“A Getaway For Those adventurous, Expressive Souls!” I came to Suitable Digs for the 20th time or so...this time, with my fairly new boyfriend. We were still in the early stages of getting to know each other and basking in such beautiful and lively surroundings, that I learned some new things about him (one can't help but express themselves openly while visiting Suitable Digs). The interest and the pleasure he took in retro, vintage style items was new to me--and only enhanced by our getting to stay in the unique classic, the Spartan. We were already excited by the incredible vegetable and fruit gardens growing in this desert Eden, alongside the various and fascinating water catchment, solar and other energy-conserving systems. So much to see and take in! But hen we stepped into the Spartan for the first time, wow...he came alive in a new and different way than I had seen before. His eyes gleamed with wonder, like a little boy on the first eve of Chanukah. The trailer was adorned in time period style, authentic in its original form with all the little extras that Lisa had taken the time and painstaking effort to locate and attach, no distance too far or too wide, no fixture unaccounted for. My beau settled in on the couch to read, out loud, several pages of Red Sky at Morning, a 1968 novel by Richard Bradford that takes place in New Mexico. He laughed and reminisced all over again, as he had when he first read it years ago. That evening, we sat in chairs on the patio outside the Spartan, gazing at the bright moonlit sky and feeling dreamy about where we had landed together. I recall the moonlight as it shone into the Spartan and landed on soft pillows, just as the warm morning sunlight welcomed itself into our cozy abode to gently awaken us the next day. Being at Suitable Digs for the 21st time was just as familiar as ever...and at the same time, it was as unexpected and fresh as traveling to a completely unfamiliar exotic destination for the first time. The innovative air that always exists there, remains.

“Nice and cozy, close to Pagosa Springs” My wife and I wanted a long weekend in the mountains over Thanksgiving, and wanted to explore the snowshoeing trails, Wolf Creek ski area, and the shopping, restuarants and hot springs nearby Pagosa Springs. This cabin was perfect for the two of us, and had plenty of space probably for another couple or 2-3 kids. Its fully furnished, so we made a lot meals at the cabin and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved having my coffee and enjoying the sunrise and amazing views off to the east. The fireplace was cozy, and we spent each night in front of the fire with a DVD or just relaxing with a good book. We bought a week long pass to The Springs hot spring resort, which is right downtown and about a 5 minute drive from the cabin, and we highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting, very relaxing and several different pools with various temperatures, and cool views of the San Juan river. If you want quaint, affordable, quiet and cozy - this is perfect. Thanks Christy for the great place to stay - we will be back! Brandt and Michele
