“Had a Blast!” The condo was great, well kept and clean. Location is ideal for all kinds of things to do. Beach wasn't crowded at all, compared to other sections. I would definitely recommend this condo and look forward to visiting again!

“Perfect!” Visited DR for my daughter's senior Spring Break. While most chose an all-inclusive resort, we wanted the space/freedom of a condo, and Ilia's place did not disappoint... a really special and absolutely perfect vacation! Rental, arrival and check-in were streamlined and simple, and Ilia's driver, manager and maid were all very helpful and welcoming. The condo itself is lovely -- photos are accurate -- and well-located within the complex. The balcony has an unimpeded view of the ocean just a few steps away, and you are also steps from one of the pools. Morning coffee or evening wine with that view + the sound of the ocean = perfection! The complex, including a private stretch of beach, is beautifully maintained, and we never had a problem finding a beach lounger with a direct view of the ocean, whether on the sand or in the shade. Guards on the beach keep away non-residents and the more aggressive vendors (but not the ladies selling massages in the shed next door -- highly recommend!). Activities can be purchased on the beach or from a condo resident. Kids enjoyed ziplining and parasailing. Dining options in the area are fabulous! Within a 1-10 minute walk of the complex are numerous restaurants with great, eager to please service and very affordable prices. Didn't have a bad meal all week, but our favorites were Citrus and Pastrata. Also liked the French bakery across the street, despite the unwelcoming service...Everyone else we encountered, though, was lovely, and we appreciated their help with our dreadful Spanish! For nightlife, there are numerous beach bars, but daughter really enjoyed joining the locals at Danny's across the street from the complex. Sidenote: Friends at the aI resort were told it was dangerous to go off property, but we found this completely untrue...walked everywhere at all hours and never felt unsafe. Our group (both kids and adults!) agreed that a condo -- this condo -- was definitely the way to go. Thanks Ilia and crew!

“Wonderfully relaxing” My husband, 1 1/2 yr old, and myself vacationed here as a babymoon and it was so relaxing and beautiful. The condo was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. It is a very short walk to the beach and very quiet. There is a lot of space for a 2 bdrm condo and we loved being able to have meals there instead of always eating out. I have no complaints at all! Kathy was always very responsive and extremely flexible. We look forward to coming back soon!

“Book This Now!!” This was the most wonderful property for our week in San Juan! Four doors to a beautiful beach - neat and tidy apt with ample linens, utensils, etc - comfortable bed - good water pressure in the shower - cold a/c - consistent wifi service - thoughtful extras like beach chairs and drinking water - very safe location - quiet and friendly neighbors - walkably close to good restaurants for eating out and Walgreens for essentials - close to bus and trolley pick-up points - and the nicest, most helpful hosts we could have asked for! They provided a detailed map for nearby points of interest which was tremendously helpful to us as first-timers. Such a relaxing week with walks among the gated neighborhood streets, freedom to go back and forth to the beach in a quick few minutes and meeting people from all over the world also staying in the area. This is a fabulous location at a super price! We are already scheming how to return to this spot again!!

“A perfect holiday” We can really recommend this condo! The best 2 arguments are 1) the owners: they stuffed us with many information before our trip and answered every question. At least we got a good quote! 2) Yves! We did 2 trips with him, he helped us in every situation and gave us good tips, what to do (and what not to do). We would choose it again!!

“Enjoyed our stay!” Our family of four stayed here for a little getaway. Conveniently located close to everything and still a pretty good view of the beach. Easy beach access. Condo was clean, no complaints there. Only wish the condo building (villa del sol) took better care of the pool and overall grounds in general.

“A lovely apartment in a magical harbour” This apartment is situated in an ideal spot for exploring the Marigot bay waterfront, it's small but enchanting beach and the interesting restaurants within a very short water taxi ride. The accommodation is of a very high standard with efficient air conditioning, and has lovely views from the small but adequate balcony. There are stairs to access the apartment - these were not a problem to us, but perhaps could be to a disabled person. We particularly enjoyed breakfast at the 'baguette shop' just below the apartment. The Wednesday night 'knees up' at Chateau Mygo was quite special, again only a few yards from the apartment. Doolittles restaurant across the bay was enjoyable for morning coffee and also evening meals. Our lasting memory was the day we chartered a small private yacht which took us from the quayside down the coast to Soufriere and other delightful places. All in all, a magical experience.

“Beautiful!” Well, the foto's on the site didn't lie (as they sometimes tend to do..), the view is truly magnificent, the garden is a sea of flowers (bougainvillea in all possible colors), and the hammock is really there! I've been to Curacao a few times before, but this is by far the best apartment I've rented. This place breathes exclusivity and holiday feel, but still on walking distance to a cluster of great beach restaurants and even a small supermarket. As far as I am concerned the right combination. Inside everything is stylish, balanced and overcomplete. Next stay will be here!

“Winter Getaway” This was not our first trip to Grand Cayman and we are very familiar with the island and what is available by way of accommodation. We have always been partial to the North Side. It offers the peace and tranquillity that you cannot find on 7 Mile Beach and “A Mid-Winter Night’s Dream” has definitely offered us the best experience so far. The condo was as described, very clean and so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Definitely the best unit in the complex. We had a direct unobstructed view of the ocean and although we had planned to eat dinner at nearby restaurants, we spent most evenings dining on the lanai listing to the sounds of the ocean. Great snorkeling, very private beach and surrounding area. My husband and I highly recommend this property. “Absolutely amazing!” There was nothing we didn't love about this vacation! The condo was spacious, clean and had all the creature comforts of home. Wifi is always a huge plus when traveling out of the states and makes things so much easier for us to keep up with. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed massages on the patio not once but twice as it was so beautiful and the massage was so fantastic that we couldn't help ourselves! It is conveniently located and we easily traveled around to different beaches. We saw monkey's everyday on the way in to the complex, such a neat experience. The beach club is conveniently located right next to Father Roosters which quickly became our favorite hang out spot (Try a mint margarita! it's a must!) I would recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the view or head out for adventures and come home to a safe, secure and clean place.

“Wonderful stay!” We had a wonderful trip and the apartment was even better than we expected. We had no trouble getting ahold of Sonja when we arrived and she was ready and waiting for us after our taxi arrived. The apartment was very clean, very well furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Really like a home away from home although the apartment is slightly larger than our house so we reveled in the extra space! We spent the first week mostly hanging around Speightstown, going to the beach a lot and exploring the town. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning; it was wonderful to sit outside and watch the waves. Our son especially loved to stand on the balcony and watch the cars go by (go figure). We did have to rearrange some of the decorations to be out of his reach, but that was a minor thing and I think I put everything back in its proper place. :) The beach was very nice and private; we were the only people using it the vast majority of the time we went down there. All the rocks and coral did make it a little hard to wade with our two year old but we did find some nice sandy spots and he had fun going out a little deeper with us holding him. We spent the second week renting a car and exploring more of the island and found that Speightstown was a very good base for going to most of the attractions that we wanted to see like the wildlife reserve and animal Flower Cave. Overall, we had an excellent trip and would recommend Barbados, and this apartment, to anyone seeking a fun and relaxing family vacation.
