4 BR Claytor Lake on a quiet cove, sleeps 8

Dublin house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Great VT Football Weekend Getaway” We spent a weekend here in the fall of 2013 for a VT football weekend. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The setting is absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. It was an easy drive to Blacksburg for the game and you get to avoid a lot of traffic because you don't need to get on I-81. The best part - barely any cell service so you truly can get away! The owner is really responsive and flexible.

Lost Horizon Cabin on Claytor Lake
BREATHTAKING Hillside Cabin!!!

Spring in Virginia in this gorgeous cabin melted winter from my soul. Drinking coffee on the expansive deck with a glorious view of the winding river below. Watching hawks soar…catching a glimpse of a white-tailed deer…reading beside the goldfish pond or sipping wine in front of the gas fireplace. Comfortable and classy with everything you need and more—a shower room with 6 jets! The owner was amazingly helpful with recommendations—what to do, where to go, where to eat. There wasn’t enough time to do it all. I loved walking the New River Trail, over the covered rail bridge on through the canopy of trees and then alongside Claytor Lake. We walked a piece of the trail back towards the cabin from The Draper Mercantile too. The Draper, a short drive from Lost Horizon, was a great place to explore and stock up on local produce. We love hearing traditional music so we took a drive over to the Floyd Country Store for the Friday Night Jamboree and had a blast. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much for sharing your luxurious cabin with us and making us feel so at home.see more
