“Execellent and affordable place to stay in Kona.” We have stayed here five times in past seven years. It is definitely our favorite place to stay in Kona. We have visited every Hawaiian island except Lanai. The Big Island is our favorite and the Kona Makai is a wonderful, beautiful, quite and relaxing place to stay. Grills are located on the ocean front. Excellent sunsets with the occasional "green flash." Walk to town, restaurants, church, numerous beaches and stores. We highly recommend it to family and friends.

“Amazing place!” We loved our stay at the Banyan Tree Condos. The highlight is, without a doubt, having breakfast on the deck watching the waves and the surfers. This condo has everything you'd possibly need for your stay and I highly recommend it. Next time we're on the Big Island, this is definitely where we'll be staying!

“great location and views” awesome location, views, and accommodations. book early because from that calendar on the owners link it fills up fast. just an fyi when you arrive there is underground parking that i have noticed people don't realize. as in any vrbo please leave some pass it forward things. i left some spices, boggie board and a large fan. aloha.

“Beautiful Paradise” This immaculate well maintained condo came equipped with everything needed to snorkel, body board, picnic or just rest by the ocean. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The condo grounds, pool area, hot tub and barbecue were very well maintained. The office staff, Kitty , welcomed us when we checked in and represented the condo owners with courtesy and kindness. The owners provided us with locations of stores to purchase groceries or whatever needed. Their personal touches on their condo made us feel like we were at home.

“Perfect Vacation Condo” Our family stayed 2 weeks and everything was absolutely perfect. The unit is beautifully furnished and decorated. It was very clean and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is nicely equipped. All beach gear is available for use, cooler, towels, beach chairs, sand toys, etc. We so enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the lanai with the gentle ocean breeze. The location is perfect. The kids really enjoyed the pool and walking to a'beach with direct access was a very nice perk. We also enjoyed a daily walk along the coast on the trail, the views are breathtaking. The grounds of the complex are beautiful and well kept. It was also nice being able to walk to the Kings Shops and Queens Marketplace for shopping and dining. We had such a wonderful time and are looking forward to returning sometime soon! Will stay again in 16F without question.

“Breathtaking and Serene!” Wow! We fell in love with the Waipio house as soon as we drove into the driveway. What a breathtaking view. The owners were SO helpful, and sweet. The property manager Danele made us feel right at home, and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved every second of our time spent here. We had all the amenties, you could dream of. Including a LOVELY bbq that we put to good use! We will very much recommend this place to family and friends. This is the PLACE to stay in Waipio. And the best place I've ever stayed on the big island!!

“Cozy cottage in quiet forest amid birdcalls” We so enjoyed our stay at Volcano Mountain Haven. It is close to the National Park, a focal point of our trip for hiking and birding. The grounds are full of flowers and ohia trees, which are full of apapane and other native birds. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the owner's guidebooks and nature guidebooks, the hike and dinner recommendations, which we followed. It is such a beautiful house in a perfect setting, we plan to return soon.

The use of the beach towels to the usage of snorkel and surf gear made the difference. Just meant one less thing for us to worry about. Your home is the cleanest ... “Halii Kai 12a was just like home...but better!” We stayed at Halii Kai Condo 12a for 12 days in September 2013. It was fabulous! We are well-seasoned travelers and would have to rate this stay in the top 5 we've ever had. The condo is like a home away from home. Peggy has everything you could possibly need including a fully stocked & well-equipped kitchen, coolers, games, beach towels, full drawer of Dvds for rainy days, Hawaii travel guides, etc. The location is fabulous with ocean views from the lanai just like in the pictures. The condo facility is quiet and well-maintained with a nice pool and small gym. Peggy herself was wonderful to deal with and was very attentive to our requests and needs. She asked us for recommendations or suggestions on how to improve and honestly, we just don't have any because she has already thought of everything. If you are looking for a condo stay in the Waikoloa area you should definitely stay here as you will not be disappointed!

“Kona Makai” Unit was acceptable, very nice location. Condos were very quiet and all non-smoking; a bonus. Interior is fairly basic, a bit dated. There are no special amenities; you have to buy everything you need. For example, there was a washer and dryer but no laundry detergent or dryer sheets, so I had to buy boxes of each to use these once. Other units in Kona have more complete supplies, snorkels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. Overall is was OK, but not great.
