“Heaven” There just aren't enough adjectives to do this review justice. This is a once in a lifetime lovely, relaxing, fun and pleasant place to vacation. Peter and the staff took care of every request starting from the moment of booking this vacation. We were able to provide information about our likes/dislikes as it pertains to comfort, food, drink, privacy or not, activities we like to do, etc before we arrived. Peter also helped us plan our time on both ends of the trip on the island so we could enjoy the Belize mainland. I would recommend doing the same and not missing any moments you have to spend on the island. Take an excursions on the mainland before and/or after your booking dates for the island. Peter and the staff accommodated every request we had even if it meant going to the mainland to bring something in to meet the request. The other reviews about The Royal Belize are exactly what we experienced too. The up-to-date technology is wonderful. You use connected ipads/itouches for music, communication to the staff and entertainment in every home and the main Palapa. We were even able to connect our ipads to the sound system and we played (with the other couple we came with) name that song/artist. It was great fun. You will not be let down when you travel to this destination spot I like to call Heaven. Thank you to Peter and staff for bringing a part of Heaven into our lives.

“A dream at the ocean” Arriving at the Villa (southpointvilla.com) the staff will greet you with a refreshing cloth and a delicous icecold drink. After passing the pool and a beautiful covered resting area you use a lightly curved bridge over a coy pond to enter the Villa. This Villa is located within a big garden, adjacent to a swimming pool, a grassy area, flowers and literally steps away from a beautiful, clean and quiet sandy beach for swimming and walking. Opposite the Villa, a coral reef invites you to snorkel and observe colorful fish. Lounge chairs and fresh towls are always provided. 3 bedrooms (TV, fans, AC) four-poster-beds, mosquito-nets, antique furniture, modern bathrooms - beautiful sink areas - always hot water - , fresh towls, shampoo and bathgels. One has a pool-garden-view, two have a garden/ocean-view and access to the deck. Inside and outside covered sitting-areas - including dining - w/ garden-ocean view. Staff is magnificent: they can arrange for everything (rental car, bicycles, boats, fishing, tours etc.) Laundry can be taken care of. Chef and his crew outstanding: the whole time such delicacies were created, that we never even got the idea of going out to eat somewhere else. Excursions: two National Parks "Uda Walawe" and "Yala" are not too far, teaplantations, Galle with its beautiful Fort and shopping in the city, a lake, other beaches and bays are nearby --- no nightlife.

“Best alternative to Fire Island” My partner and I wanted to try something new, we originally always go to Fire Island and although we will always love that place, I can't express how expensive it is just to go for a weekend with friends not to mention that we can't help but feel stranded in a way (we don't drive) because once the ferry leaves, that's it! You will be staying whether you want to or not. I would have never thought that I would find a house of this size, with amenities such as linens, towels, beach chairs, hot tub, and pool included for such a reasonable price at the Hamptons none the less...I thought it had to be a mistake, I literally had to call to confirm the rates. The owner was very prompt in her responses whether it would be through phone and or email, and she definitely went out of her way to make sure we were properly accommodated as well as gave awesome recommendations to nearby shops and restaurants. I never had such a pleasant and smooth experience. It was a one, two, three transaction and was very pleased with the outcome, will be coming back next year for sure!

“Serene and beautiful” This beautiful loft was the perfect space in so many ways. It's 1000 square feet of comfort, and the views were unlike anything I'd experienced before. Surrounded by a solid wall of windows, you have a 180-degree view of the Rappahannock River flowing slowly past. Occasionally you get to see a large paddle-wheel boat go streaming by as well, possibly playing some Jimmy Buffett tunes while people dance to strobes on the dance floor. That was quite a treat. Most of the time, though, the serenity and solitude of the loft just goes on forever. We didn't even turn on the TV the entire time we were there. (Then again, we were pretty busy competing in an athletic competition the entire time.) The loft had everything you could expect, and what it didn't have, the host and hostess provided for us, as they were incredibly attentive to our needs and requests. By the end of the week, we felt more like friends or family than just strangers who booked a vacation rental from them. We think they are probably this nice with everyone. Fortunately for us, our sport takes us to Fredericksburg every spring, so we already can't wait to find out what the dates are in 2015...and 2016...and....you get the picture. We'll be back.

“Best Kept Secret” I cannot say enough about this amazingly beautiful, peaceful getaway What a fantastic experience right on the beach with an abundance of wildlife playing right outside our cute and cozy cottage. “Wonderful Getaway” My husband, myself, my 20 year old college daughter and her friend stayed at the Bear Cliff cabin. I wanted something where my daughter could get some rest and do some Christmas shopping. The cabin was beautiful and very clean!!! I strongly recommend Pine Ridge cabins to anyone looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of inside Branson.

“More than we expected, we will be back!” This is the perfect place to get away! We came in at night and I was nervous because I know how picky my boyfriend is about staying away from home. It was very clean the pictures don't do it justice. The hot tub was great. The inside was spacious. Chimney Rock was just down the road. We did a day of shopping and climbed all the way to the top of Chimney Rock and all the trails and came back and spent some much needed time in the hot tub and massage chair. The owners were right upstairs and we talked with them they were so nice however we couldn't tell there was anyone upstairs unless we went to them. I can't wait to go back!!! I need the sound of the river to put me to sleep again!

“My great holidays on the Samui Island, Thailand. Idyllic Resort.” In the airport I was picked up by the owner of the Idyllic Resort (Hans Beeftink) and his lovely wife (Lana Beeftink). The whole trip from the airport to the Resort takes about 10 minutes. In the Idyllic Resort I was living in the Orchid Villa. That villa is located approximately 100 meters away from the shore. And the whole way from the Villa's door to the beach is pure pleasure: at the beginning you overcome a short distance among palms and blooming bushes of orchids and then the rest of the way it is a long tunnel covered with many coloured flowers and in the end of your short trip to the beach you are met by white, clean sand and by a blue stripe of South China Sea. Probably I should mention that the beach is private and there is no access for strangers. The Orchid Villa consists of two buildings. One building includes a big fully equipped kitchen which is integrated with a cosy living room, a bedroom with a double bed and of course a toilet and a shower. As well that building has a big terrace and a summer bed outside. Another building consists of two bedrooms with toilet, shower and everything what you need for sleeping and nice time being inside of the room. Those two buildings are separated by a swimming pool with two beach beds and lawn. The Resort consists also of other Villas, they are all different but made with great taste and love in order to make you feel yourselves as at home. In the main office which is located right next to the entrance to the Resort, you can find a nice small library which is there because some people have left there many books after their holidays. There are many books in many languages, plus, DVD disks with movies and music. As well in the main office you can find a coffee machine, a fridge with fizzy drinks, high quality alcohol and chocolate. Also the Resort provides so many other services/ options which make you even happier there than you are at that moment of time!
