Jerusalem apartment

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Fantastic place, and lovely people” The flat is in a great location in the German Colony. It's quiet, clean, in good condition, and very homely. It looks just as it appears in the photos. The free parking is a real bonus for Jerusalem. The best thing, though, are the people who own the flat. They were extremely helpful and welcoming, and really went the extra mile, including a classical concert ticket, and even a home baked chocolate cake! In short, highly recommended.

Best Location 5 Stars Templer Apt German Colonny

Jerusalem house

1 bedroom / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“It is the best place I have ever stayed trough FlipKey!!!” It has 5-star (literally) design - very unique and cozy. Actually you live in the castle but with comfort of 5-stars hotel. The location is veeery convenient: 5 minutes from main restaurants and 5 mins by cab from the old city. Moshik and his family provided us with 5-stars (literally!) service level: a bottle of red wine and a welcome note was waiting for us when we came. Fruits and beers were in the fridge. Clean towels, slippers, etc. everything is superb. The place is very new and unique - 3D TV, cool sound system, all new kitchenware and aC. I really regret that we had to leave from this place. If you are going to stay in Jerusalem don't think twice - book this place now!

Jerusalem apartment

“Great place to stay” Stayed for a week in a 2 bdrm 2 bthrm apartment. Apartment was so perfect for our needs. Easy to book, as represented, comfortable, and excellent location. The pedestrian walkway that is the entrance to the building is not kept up well with garbage strewn around, but that has to do with the building management and not the apartment owners. I am mentioning it because when you walk up, you may be taken aback a bit, but don't let it throw you off, this is a 5 star apartment at an excellent price point. Machane Yehuda market is where you get your groceries during the day, and where you go for drinks and activity at night. It is less than a block away. We have stayed in this building before with different owners but we found dealing with EXP so easy we would definitely book through them again for our next trip.

Spacious & Airy 3 Bedroom Apartment in Jerusalem

Nayot apartment

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Felt at home, great location - especially if you have a car.” The apartment was lovely -- recently renovated. It was very well equipped and extremely comfortable, with a full kitchen, cable TV, wifi, 2 toilets, air conditioning, linens and towels. The owners in the States are delightful and easy to deal with. The "host" family (that gave us the keys and handled laundry) was very friendly, incredibly helpful and responsive. The location is phenomenal: Down the block from a supermarket, pharmacy, park, pizza shop and more. Across the street from the botanical gardens and its lakeside cafe, a 2 minute drive (10 min. walk) to the Israel Museum and Knesset, less than 10 minute drive to virtually every tourist destination including downtown Jerusalem, Machane Yehudah, Old City (kotel), Emek Refaim and Yad Vashem. Less than 5 minutes to the Malcha Mall and to the Highway to Tel aviv. It is on the third floor with no elevator, so not suited for people with mobility issues, but otherwise, the stairs were easy to navigate. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that it will be available for us on our next visit!

The Rova Arches — Historic Home in the Old City

Nahlaot apartment

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Great Place to Stay” I was with a group of 5 friends. We decided to stay in the Old City and were lucky enough to find the Rova arches. The condo is in the heart of the Old City, located next to the Synagogue with a restaurant and coffee shop next door. Our location allowed us to walk to every nook and cranny within the city. The best times are at night when only the locals are out and about (no crowds, no tourists). As for the accommodations the 5 of us were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. Rooms large with comfortable beds. A small balcony allowed us to sit and sip wine as we watched the locals pass by. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better location. If you are looking for the perfect spot in the Old City this is the place.

“Beautiful apartment/Great Service” Beautiful ground floor apartment with parking. Quiet street in Old Katamon neighborhood. Easy walk to Emek Refaim. Eve was great to work with, super responsive to all my questions and very accommodating, even meeting us when we arrived on a chag. We had no problems whatsoever with the apartment, but I was very confident if we did, Eve would have been there promptly to resolve them.

“Nice Location; Building Needs Attention” This was a wonderful place to stay with a lot of positive qualities and just a few areas of need. First, the positives, as there were many. * Service: exceptional. We rented a three bedroom unit (for 7 of us) and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a four bedroom. Emails were returned quickly, courteously and helpfully. The on-site staff in the office helped us with taxis, boarding passes and more. Really outstanding service = 5/5. * Price: We paid $299 per night which was a fraction of what we would have paid at hotels. It would have been triple or more at a hotel (a family of 5 = 2 rooms + my parents = a third room). Great value = 5/5. * Amenties: The big draw ... a washer/dryer. After traveling for a week, the seven of us desperately needed a fresh wardrobe! It was amazing to have a washer/dryer to get everything clean so that we did not have to pack double. Also, the large kitchen was decently stocked with appliances/silverware, which allowed us to buy fresh food at the shuk and eat in. 5/5 * Finally - Location: As others mentioned, the building is in a GREAT location. It's a two minute walk to the shuk/Machane Yehuda market (so fun), a five minute walk to Ben Yehuda (great shopping and restaurants), and the light rail is at the doorstep (we took this to Yad Vashem). We even took a long walk home from the Old City one day and it was lovely - not too long. Stores, markets and banks are all there, taxis abound ... just a really great location. 5/5. Okay, now for the few things that fell short: * Most importantly: Building Disrepair. Though the inside of the apartment was clean and functional, the building itself was a bit run down. First, there was trash all over the alley to get in, along with smells of urine (my poor mom even witnessed the source of that). Once inside, some floor tiles were broken and there were "caution" signs covering them. My first reaction when I walked in was a bit of panic. In the end, it wasn't a deal-breaker, but if the common spaces were upgraded a bit, this could be a five-star spot. 3/5 * Decor: Our apartment was bare of any decor. It was stark, black and white. Not a big deal, but in a town so culturally rich, it would be nice to have even a hint of decoration. 4/5 * Hot water: this was tough for seven people. You have to turn on the tank an hour before showering so it can heat. I know this is common in Jerusalem and Israel but we did not have this issue in the other places we stayed. One day we forgot to turn it on - ugh - several other times we ran out of hot water trying to get us all clean. 4/5 Overall, we quickly got over the few issues and had a wonderful time at Windows. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I want to reiterate ... the next time I come, I WILL stay at Windows again! And with just a little TLC, this place could be the best find in Jerusalem. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

“Perfect in every way!!” My family was lucky enough to find this amazing apartment for our 10 day stay in January. The owners are wonderful, both helpful and friendly. The apartment feels like home, (but better) with all of the amenities (flat screen TV with all the channels, well thought out, clean, beautiful & modern kitchen and bathroom, washer & dryer, bookshelf stocked with books about the history of the area, guidebooks with helpful info about sightseeing, etc.) Great sleeping there, too! Linens, mattress, sofa bed, all comfortable and very nice. The apartment is next to a house (the owners') so you feel very safe, and all of the surrounding buildings and park are lovely. (The apartment actually sits on top of a hill, with the front gate opening onto a nice park. Very scenic! The bottom of the hill has the old train station where you can shop, eat, peruse art galleries, or walk 15 mins to the Old City, or catch a bus/taxi, etc.) We really enjoyed everything and can't think of anything we'd change. Highly recommend!

About Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Israel's capital, is a spiritual destination full of wonder. While religious areas are in abundance and a draw for many visitors, there is also a wealth of culture, arts, and entertainment. History, archeology, and architecture lovers will enjoy the numerous historical sites and museums in Jerusalem while music enthusiasts will be able to find a variety of performances to suit their tastes. Those who are searching for after-hours excitement will also encounter plenty of bars, clubs, and nighttime tours.

Some of the attractions you will want to experience include:

  • The Western (Wailing) Wall: Visitors come to this ancient site, a place of great historical and spiritual significance, to reflect, pray, take photographs, or attend a celebration.
  • The Church of the Holy Sepulcher: For those of the Christian faith, this site is a critical place to visit. It resides on the Hill of Calvary, which was the location of Jesus' crucifixion, and is believed to be the place where he was buried.
  • Zedekiah's Cave: Also known as Solomon's Quarries, this site dates back almost 2,000 years. It is one of the biggest quarries in the country and spans the length of five city blocks. The underground lighting makes for a dramatic tour that is an awe-inspiring adventure for all who experience it.
  • Kidron Valley: This valley divides the city of Jerusalem and Mount of Olives and includes a number of ancient tombs for travelers to see, including those of Absalom, Jehoshapat, St. James, and St. Zacharias.
  • Kiftzova: This family friendly play space includes indoor and outdoor activities in the form of inflatable slides, small rides, game rooms, ball pits, and more.
  • The Israel Museum: Created in 1965, this museums hosts several exhibitions and provides activities for children as well as adults. While you are here, explore the Art Wing, the Art Garden, the Judaica Wing, the Archeological Wing, and the Youth Wing.

Culture lovers should check out all of the museums, specifically the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, while the shoppers can explore all the shops and markets in Jerusalem. After a long day of sightseeing pamper yourself in a Jerusalem spa before returning to the comforts of your apartment rental downtown or condo rental in the countryside.

Great location Spacious Apt in Jerusalem

Overall a very, very positive experience. Great location! Walking distance to Old City, Ben Yehuda & next to Mahane Yehuda. Spacious, clean apartment. Grocery store right on the building. Shops across the street. Light train stop, also, right by the building. Staff very sweet and helpful- except totally unavailable on Shabbat. Needs improvement: There is no name on the building! Upon arrival on taxi there is no identifying sign and since building is behind stores and in the middle of the alley, everyone gets lost. Also, we feel that security late at night is a bit lacking. At 3 AM, there was no one in reception area desk or guard on door. We think this is for security not only in Israel, but even in Miami Beach! We did love the experience and recommend it.see more

Great views, comfortable room and gracious host

I recently made aliyah to Israel and needed a place to stay. I had difficulty finding acceptable accomodations at a reasonable price. I found out about Zerach's guest house, also known as the Kotu centre, and was very pleased with what a saw. The location, views, quality of room and hospitality were all excellent. Zerach made me feel very welcome and even invited me to several Shabbat meals. He also went out of his way to provide special services that were very valuable to me. I would highly recommend Zerach's guest house to anyone visiting Jerusalem.see more

Charming Garden Suite in Central Jerusalem Neighborhood

My husband and I stayed in this suite for a week in early September 2014. It was a first trip to Jerusalem for us, and we were looking for a central location, since we usually walk or take public transportation. The location of the suite was perfect--we walked to the Old City, the Market, Germantown, the old train station, the Israel Museum, and more, all quite easily. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the garden location of the suite is charming. We loved opening the gate at night, and returning to the peaceful surroundings. The suite is spacious, the bed comfortable, the flat screen TV a perk, and the kitchen well-equipped for light cooking. The owners live next door to the suite, and they are friendly but non-intrusive. They told us where to find neighborhood coffee shops and restaurants and helped with directions when needed. All in all, I highly recommend this property. Friends of ours have already stayed there on our recommendation. My only word of advice is to use the railing on the steps to the loft bedroom at night (this from a woman who shattered her shoulder in the States and can't be too careful).see more
