We read all the wonderful reviews before we booked this Malibu beach house and it was everything we read about and so much more. It was just beautiful! We would book it again in a heartbeat. “Not RIGHT on the lake as photos suggest but cozy and spacious cabin with hot tub and close proximity to Big Bear village” This cabin was very comfortable and cozy and really embodied the "cabin feel." The living room was very spacious and had a large TV that provided access to Netflix and other programs (a big plus). The kitchen was very well stocked with a wide array of kitchenware and grilling tools, which really came in handy for the grill right outside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub (spent many hours here), as we stayed in Big Bear in March and it was quite chilly out. The only problem we had with the house was the fact that the pictures were deceptive in making it appear that the cabin was right on the lake, which was not the case. There was a whole house right in front of us and blocked much of our view of the lake, as well as a long fence that made it impossible for us to even access the lake from our area (we had to walk a few hundred feet down the street to the marina to get to the water). Otherwise, the house was incredibly cozy and accommodating and made for a relaxing three-night stay up in the mountains for our Spring Break.

“one of the best vacations ever!!!” I stayed at this beach house over memorial weekend. This house was the perfect beach house with an amazing location and view. The house was very well equipped and we felt very comfortable staying there. it was a great weekend for my family and the kids had the best time playing in the ocean most of the day. Amber was very responsive to anything we needed and she made us feel very at home. I would highly recommend this house and I do plan on going back someday!

“Perfect” Our family stayed here for a weekend in September and thoroughly enjoyed it! We live in Oxnard and needed a place for family visiting from out of town. The Dunes Hideaway was the perfect solution for us! The beach is close and the home is comfortable and clean! There are bikes for adults and toys for children. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms there is space for everyone! Jana has thought of everything you could possibly need and has it waiting for you. She is easy to work with and made the whole process simple, Our family will stay here again and again. The Dunes is set up with everything you need, Just bring yourself and desire for fun or relaxation, it's all close by. A book with menus from nearby restaurants and suggestions for local activities has been compiled by the owner and is a great resource if you choose to go out. The open concept kitchen makes staying at home tempting. A nice deck for BBQ-ing is a great bonus! You will love how easy it is to stay at the Dunes Hideaway!

“Awesome!!!” The photos lured us in... My husband and I were looking for a quiet get away right on the beach and got just that. Next time we'll bring the kids to do more exploring. The drive was very accessible from lax. This fabulous home is located at the northern end of PBH in Malibu (not as much traffic). Close to everything you want or need. The views from every window are either of the mountains or the ocean. The home itself was very clean & spacious. The furniture was oh so comfy. The best bed I have ever slept on!! Ms. Amber was a great host and will see to your every need. We'll be back!

“Park and Play” We stayed here with our grown children (family of 6 adults) and found it comfortable, clean and close to both the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. We only needed a car to drive to Dana Point for our dolphin tour and to a more sandy beach area farther south in Laguna. Beach access is easy (as long as you can navigate lots of stairs) and there were lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops and even a darling bookstore within walking distance. Nice sunset view from park bench on Cress Cove but area did seem a bit congested with cars and foot traffic for it to feel very private. Hotel just across alley had a great bar and upstairs deck perfect for cocktails and appetizers while watching the pelicans fly over or the sunset!
