“A wonderful escape!” From the stunning approach down the track to the boathouse (very easy to drive in a normal small car) to the fabulous welcome pack to cover all eventualities, we couldn't have asked for a better welcome to Kingsburgh. The location is amazing - from watching the beautiful ever-changing weather, the wide range of bird-life and the seal, to the ease of access to nearby Portree (no more than 15 mins away) - we couldn't have been better placed to explore the Trotternish peninsula (which has some fantastic walks and sights) and beyond. Carol has done a wonderful job on the boathouse, which was truly stunning and very comfortable - most days it was difficult to get out of the door and leave the amazing views. We'd love to return, just need to work out when we can get back!

“Fantastic accommodation/Fantastic location” On arrival we were impressed with the location and the overall appearance of the cottage. What struck us was the photographs on the website didnt do it justice. The layout of the cottage can only be described as spectacular, very spacious and kitted out to a very high spec with no expense spared. There has obviously been a lot of thought put into the idea of what a guest would look for in a holiday home to make it as relaxing as possible, almost a home from home. By this I mean the home comforts and things like broadband and Sky tv to name a few. The views from the expansive patio doors are awesome, looking across The Minch to the Isles of Lewis and Harris. We watched the sunset and found it a very romantic setting. From the patio doors there was a decking area which would be ideal during the summer months to take in the breathtaking scenery whilst indulging in a refreshment of your choice. If its anything like we experienced it would be idyllic. When booking our stay the owners couldnt have been more helpful. This included literature within the cottage with regard to local amenities, tourist attractions and such like. To summarise, having never been to Skye before we found staying here a very pleasant experience, so much so we have booked a week at the cottage in July 2011 and cant wait to go back and experience it once again.
