Spacious Historic Hyde Park Bungalow (780 sq ft)

Austin house

“Wonderful spot in Austin!” I stayed at this rental in Hyde Park for two weeks in September. It met my expectations and more. The rental was quiet, and well kept. In fact it was spotless inside! The kitchen was basically equipped but I had the essentials for making my own meals. The neighborhood is great and I would go for walks each day in the neighborhood meeting lots of friendly Austinites! Pete is a fantastic property manager and replied very quickly to any concerns I had. This is a great place to stay that is just out of downtown yet close to several restaurants and grocery stores. Also near bus routes if you don't have a car. Loved it. I will be back!

Cozy Cottage at a Magical Lakefront Retreat Property on Lake Travis

Spicewood cottage

“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. “A home away from home” We stayed in this log cabin last week for 5 days. This is a very beautiful cedar log cabin. We love the serenity and being with mother nature. Stella, the contact person was very helpful and very nice to us. She is very professional to deal with. The beds were very comfortable and they had a chest full of board games. We enjoyed playing the guitar as well. The lake was not too far. We enjoyed boating there, of course! If you're looking for a log cabin to stay for vacation or just to unwind, I will highly recommend this dream away cabin to give a try! Thanks!

“Location, ammenities, comfort!” Laura's helpful, friendly manner made us feel welcome even before we arrive. Her beautiful home is centrally located with tons of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The beds were very comfortable, so we all got a good night's sleep which is a must for me with my bad back. The living room is spacious and open with a two story ceiling and lots of comfortable seating. I particularly enjoyed the clean, well equipped kitchen. With a small grocery just a convenient walk away, we were able to easily relax and "eat in" for a few meals and the back patio was perfect for conversation and drinks after dinner. We also enjoyed a long walk though the trees in Pease Park which is just a couple of blocks away. More ambitious souls jogged or biked but it was so pretty and peaceful we just took our time. An austin treasure tucked away on a quiet street just minutes from downtown and the UT campus, this is definitely a 5 star rental. We plan to rebook this gem next time we come to town for UT football games!

“Great home to stay at while in Texas hillcountry!” My wife and I stayed at this home for a few days in September. The property was very nice, and quiet. The house was completely clean and had everything that we needed during our stay. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the deer that came to visit. We would definitely stay here again!

“Great Location and Condo” Great Condo and Location I can't say enough great things about this location and condo, we arrived on Monday and by that afternoon my husband was already wanting to set a date for a return trip. We decided to try to return for the week after Christmas since he's a teacher and the kids will be out of school.

This location is wonderful for a family, it has a great pool as well as being really close to the beach. My concern was that I wouldn't be able to get my teenagers out of the Condo since they brought the PS3 and each have cellphones. Once we hit the beach they had a wonderful time and we couldn't get them out of the water. The beach was clean and wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it was the time of year or that it was during the week but it wasn't crowded until Friday and we had been out almost everyday. We also ate at Doc's Local Restaurant which had a very nice view and the food was good. I haven't had guacamole with crab, pretty tasty. Also we went to Port Aransas and took the Red Pirate Ship tour, it had a cute show for little ones or for the "young at heart". We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will certainly be returning soon.
You will enjoy your stay at this condo even if it is just for a get away. There wasn't a lot of loud music or noise around the complex either, which I really enjoyed while we were sitting out on the patio having coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. I would definitely recommend this place! Edward H San Angelo, Texas

“Home away from home” The appartment was very clean upon arrival and everything was exactly as presented on this website. The rooms were very spacious, the kitchen fully equipped and the walk-in closit was huge. We felt right at home in no time. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Austin and surroundings. There is a bus stop right around the corner, which will get you to the university and downtown Austin in only 15 minutes. A supermarket, bakery with delicious cookies and several restaurants are within a short walk.

“Quiet Bungalow in convenient neighborhood” I stayed at this home for 4 nights with my friend for an extended weekend holiday. The photos are pretty accurate of what you will be getting. It's a duplex with a master bedroom at the top floor. Please note that there is no door to this bedroom, it's basically in a converted attic space. There are 2 other beds on the ground floor next to the dining area. I love the cute IKEA furnishings and well stocked kitchen. My friend and I were so happy to have pots and cooking tools to make breakfast after stopping by the Saturday farmer's market and Antoinelle's cheese shop. There is a laundry room outside of the house that is located in a separate garage. Bring your own detergent and flashlight. Pete was super helpful throughout the booking process.

“A heavenly little retreat in paradise” Bethany and her husband have the perfect set-up in Lake Travis. A snuggly little cabin tucked away in the middle of nowhere is the ultimate mode of relaxation. It immediately felt like home and a vacation at the same time. Not only are they passionate about finding quality beauty in everyday things, but they also have the most wonderful story of following their passions. Please go, give it a try, and unwind! :)

“Great house for my large family!” The house was perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of room for all (my husband and me, 4 daughters, 4 son-in-laws, and 4 young grandchildren). Nice kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and backyard deck with grill. Located near Lake Travis and shopping areas. The pool/playground was within walking distance. Owner was so helpful and responded timely. This was the perfect alternative to a hotel. We could all be together. If you have small children you may wish to block the stairs at bottom and top. A large drawback for us was the parking. We were in 6 cars and only 3 cars allowed in driveway at any time.
