“No one wanted to go home!!!” Wow, first trip to Costa Rica and our family didn't want to leave. Between the accommodations at a very reasonable rate and the adventures that Ronda (manager/owner?) set up, our family truly had a great time. The home was so family oriented. Plenty of rooms, great family room that we would all hang after a full day of beaching it. Guest house was the perfect place to put my in-laws - gave us the space we all needed :). I was debating to give this review, because I really want to keep this place as a secret gem for me and my friends, but my hubby told me I was uncool by doing that. So here I am, want to forget all your worries and be pampered at the same time and leave with some awesome memories, this is the place to stay. Don't forget to bring your camera and plenty of sun tan lotion!!

“Exceptionally nice management. A lot of value.” This cottage is quite a value with two air-conditioned with bedrooms and a very nice décor. It is in a quiet location and an easy stroll to the ocean and a couple of pleasant restaurants. The operators, Carole and Daniel, are very helpful and friendly.

“Unforgettable views and experience” We arrived back in the States on early Monday morning, and our regular work and family routine immediately slapped us in the face. What a harsh reality check after our amazing Costa Rican vacation! We had a fantastic time in Guanacaste, and Cass Fiesta was everything we imagined it would be - and a little bit more. The views were indescribably gorgeous. I would have been content to sit on the upper deck or poolside all day long and watch the sunshine and clouds change throughout the day. Casa Fiesta was such an incredibly relaxing setting. The house itself is beautiful and well-stocked with everything needed to enjoy an extended stay. It feels like a remote and exotic location, but the beach, groceries, and restaurants were only a 5-10 minute drive down the mountain. The pool was a refreshing respite from the afternoon sun, and the hilltop temperatures were very comfortable - especially in the evening while enjoying sunset and twilight. The howler monkey calls and exotic bird fly-bys in the morning were enjoyed immensely on the deck while sipping coffee. Simply amazing. Casa Fiesta also benefits tremendously from Diego and Jennifer's presence. We especially enjoyed Jennifer's meal (arguably the best we had all week!) and Diego's sage advice. Diego also took us whitewater rafting on very short notice and arranged everything. We couldn't have done it without him. As our vacation transitioned to other locations in Guanacaste, I found myself missing the scenic view from Casa Fiesta and wished we could have spent the entire duration on the seaside mountaintop overlooking Portrero. Thanks again for accommodating us, and we look forward to planning our next Costa Rican journey at some point in the not-too-distant future.

“Best villa and hosts one could hope for.” I stayed at Villa El Sueno de Ocotal for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The scenery is spectacular. The room was very well maintained and in excellent condition. All the amenities as stated.. I think the best thing about staying at Villa El Sueno de Ocotal were the hosts. Calin and Silvia are excellent hosts and extremely caring people. If there was anything that you needed, Calin would make sure that you had it and always makes sure that you are well cared for and greeted upon arrival and departure. Silvia always had a ready smile for you. Would definitely recommend this villa. Only negative things were the isolation (easily resolved with a car) and the steep driveway but you wouldn't get the view unless you were located higher up the hills. Thanks again, Calin and Silvia. It was a pleasure to meet you both! I hope to see you again. Brenda

“A spectacular vacation” Our vacation to Costa Rica was made special, indeed spectacular, thanks to the efforts of the people at Costa Rica Star Villas. “Lovely, private, inspirational home” I stayed here with my husband, teen daughter and 2, 20 something year old kids. The house is about 20 min from the airport, 5 minutes to the grocery store and restaurants and beaches, but still very private. It is everything you would want in a tropical getaway - Clean, cool, open and welcoming. We used the whole house and found it to be very comfortable - the beds were VERY comfortable. We spent the cooler parts of the day on the patios and enjoyed the incredible, unbeatable views to the ocean. In fact, my favorite part of the vacation was spending the early morning sipping delicious Costa Rican coffee on the balcony while listening to the countryside awake. The local manager, Myra, was very helpful, accommodating and available. She was able to secure a cook for us one night so we could have the "typical" dinner - delicious. Please note: the scary looking dirt road UP the hillside led us to the house. It's a very short ascent, but you will need a 4 wheel drive, or at least a larger car to make it up - we got used to it after a couple of days, but we had a good car and got a lot of experience on dirt roads with our travels around the country during the week. This house would be great for a large gathering, multiple families or a party!

“Postcard Views from House with Many Special Spaces” This property greatly enhanced our time in Costa Rica! Clean, spacious, and nestled up on the hill providing the most amazing views of the entire bay. My favorite part about staying in this property is that it has so many unique and special spaces that fit our different moods throughout the trip. The pool was a great place to have breakfast and watch the sunrise, to catch some rays midday, or to hang out with each other or friends at sunset and at night. We discovered many comfortable nooks to read our books and cool down when taking breaks from the sun. The kitchen was accommodating when cooking meals just for the two us and when cooking large dinners with friends. The entire suite upstairs was beyond words - allowing us to move indoors and out seamlessly. It was practically like having our own self-sustaining apartment upstairs away from the rest of the house! We utilized the owners' book of local attractions and preferred service-providers. We are so glad we did. Their recommendations allowed us to easily book transportation right from the house to two amazing day trips - ziplining and a river cruise to see monkeys, crocodiles, birds, iguanas. We also had a massage therapist come right to the house, allowing us the opportunity to enjoy professional massages outside on the balcony as we listened to the surf below. Costa Rica is a magical place in its own right. Staying in this property only amplified the magic. This house made us feel like we had a temporary home in Costa Rica!
