“Execellent and affordable place to stay in Kona.” We have stayed here five times in past seven years. It is definitely our favorite place to stay in Kona. We have visited every Hawaiian island except Lanai. The Big Island is our favorite and the Kona Makai is a wonderful, beautiful, quite and relaxing place to stay. Grills are located on the ocean front. Excellent sunsets with the occasional "green flash." Walk to town, restaurants, church, numerous beaches and stores. We highly recommend it to family and friends.

“Renter” Very good location. Just the right size for a couple looking for a quiet getaway from it all. Large number of wineries, cidery, craft brewers, available. A short drive to Ithaca where I recommend the Boat Yard Grill for dining. Pet friendly was a big plus. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Only drawback was wet firewood made it difficult to start a fire in the fireplace. A wood rack with a tarp would help. Would definitely recommend.

“Escape from reality” My husband and I both have high-pressure jobs. We were looking for an escape from the grind. We found it at Water's Edge. As we entered the gate of this quaint island paradise reality melted away. The main living area is open and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. But I can't say that we spent much time in the house... The view from the back patio is breathtaking. The doors open to a beautiful outdoor living space which overlooks the Caribbean. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside! The days were lazy, filled with much needed R&R.; We read books, napped in the hammock, and simply enjoyed the sun and the seascape. The home has direct access to the water, and the pool is perfect for that quick dip to cool off. Although we were looking for a quiet getaway, nightlife was not far away. We found it easy to get over to Paradise Island for some dinner and gambling at atlantis. We enjoyed our trip so much we returned with our daughter the following year. She enjoyed it as much as we did. We've got a new baby at home, but are looking forward to getting back to Water's Edge soon.

“Week in paradise” First time to the island and the vacation was great especially with the accommodations at the Pink Sand Cottage. Perfect for the two of us and loved the views from inside and outside the house of nothing but beach and water. I'm not sure how it is other times of the year but almost every day we were the only ones on the beach. Maybe just timing but it felt as though we were the only ones on the island at times and having the peace and quiet was much needed. Thanks to Ken and adele for a great week and hope to be back soon! “Our Spirits were renewed!” Things don't happen by chance! Little did we know six months ago when we booked our vacation how much we would really, really NEED a quiet and peaceful week! This little corner of Marathon is exactly that: quiet and peaceful. The condo is very comfortably furnished, very clean, and the view is - well, I don't think there is a 'better' view anywhere! It's picture perfect - even to the gorgeous green iguana on the palm tree! (but you have to look quick - they move fast!). We had our son, daughter in law and two little grandkids with us...it was perfect! Sunrise with coffee by the pool, under the Chickee or on the patio...awesome! Lots to do for families or singles very close by...yup...you really can even have pizza delivered if you don't want delicious, fresh seafood!..and wow! are there some awesome spots for that!! Communication with the owners is impeccable...could NOT be better. These are the folks with whom you love to do business!! Thanks so much, Todd and Jamie!

“A great and fun place to stay” The house is spectacular. Very very well stocked and the manager Al made sure we had everything we needed and even came out a couple of times to quickly address any concerns we had. Very very close access to the beach and dock. Garage well stocked with water toys, chairs, fishing rods, etc. Everything you need. Abundant toiletries, towels, games and entertainment made for a very comfortable stay. Gift basket was a nice touch. Super easy checkout! We will definitely look to rent from again if we ever come back to the area, which we hope to do someday. Thanks!

“Lovely, charming and warm cabin!” We had a great time staying at the cabin over Christmas 2012. Ideal for our family (two adults & two children). The cabin has everything you need to be comfortable, well equipped and warm. Nice and quiet place - no impact from I-70, easy to get to the shuttle bus to Vail! Short walk/or drive to supermarket if needed. The kids enjoyed the new snow and had fun rolling and tubing around the hills behind the cabin.

“It definitely is a slice of heaven on earth.” I first came to the Wheeler in 1991, and I have came back 17 times since then. It is the best fishing anywhere hands down.Accommodations are great,well taken care of. Owners Kevin&Cheryl; do whatever it takes to make your stay the best ever.Your group are the only ones on the many lakes you can fish.They will make you a shore lunch of delicious walleye and fixings, if want it.

“Peaceful, homey cabin on bay near Gulf beaches” We loved this cabin! I hung out on the wayside dock with a crane next door while watching beautiful sunsets. The Gulf beaches are close by, easy to access, and not crowded. The cabin reminds me of what Gulf Shores used to be like before all the development on the beach. This is a wonderful site for a family vacation.

“Awesome place to stay!!” We love it here. This was our second visit & we plan on coming back again in the future!! You can't beat the view, and this condo has all the essentials for a fun week! Thank you again for letting us stay here. The Keener Family :)

“Wonderfully relaxing” My husband, 1 1/2 yr old, and myself vacationed here as a babymoon and it was so relaxing and beautiful. The condo was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. It is a very short walk to the beach and very quiet. There is a lot of space for a 2 bdrm condo and we loved being able to have meals there instead of always eating out. I have no complaints at all! Kathy was always very responsive and extremely flexible. We look forward to coming back soon!

“Can't wait to come back!” This house was huge and it was stocked with everything you could need. From pool floats, to a grill, to beach chairs and umbrellas, to bicycles, you won't be bored! Bob and Elayne were excellent, giving tips on what to do and where to go and great communicators. The pool was fantastic and the dock was perfect for my husband to fish from. We can't wait to go back!
