“A Little Taste of Heaven” This was our 8th trip to the Resort, and have stayed in this condo the last 5 years...What a wonderful place to stay and get some rest & relaxation. The resort is beautiful & there's always something to see & do if you wish. The condo is all you can possibly want - large & airy, well-furnished and a great kitchen! The views are spectacular and you feel as if you are the only ones there. The privacy of this unit is great - yet you're close to everything - firepit by the water, pool, hot tub, tennis courts, bbq patio and even a kiddie play area. During our month here we saw pods of whales, seals, otters, hummingbirds & lots of eagles from our balcony. We even went clamming @ low tide and had 3 feasts of crab caught off the end of the dock! What more could you ask for? This place is what we consider a little taste of heaven on the west coast, and after a month here, returning to ONtario makes us look forward to returning again next spring.

“Peaceful Oasis” We had the extreme pleasure of staying at Patricia and Scott's condo. What a magical place. The location could not have been better. Waking up in the morning with the ocean alongside the master bedroom and then spending the day gazing out at the unobstructed views. It took me an hour to jealously wander about the condo in awe of all of the perfect details. Everything was though of - you could easily host a dinner party for 8 here and not be missing a thing. We have stayed at the most exclusive resorts on the Island, but never have we felt as if we were truly coming "home" when we returned to our suite, like we did here. We have adopted the condo, and I have adopted the perfectly situated chaise lounge for hours of reading and gazing. It is dead quiet, with lots to observe in the ocean... that bay is always changing. We did a short (6km) hike nearby and strolled on the beach. Dug up and steamed clams as well as shucked oysters off the beach and pan fried them. Cannot wait to return! Thanks Patricia and Scott! “Comfort” The stay was overall very comfortable with the serenity of the island along with the comfort of a fully equipped house. From major things like the clean kitchen, bedrooms, patio to small things like poking rod next to the fire place, board games and balls next to the court were all very delighting. Enjoyed every bit of it and had a wonderful time in Orcas Island thanks to Cedar Field Vacation House. The only con was the complexity of the heating system to a person who hasn't used something like that before. It got toasty in the middle of the night as the settings automatically defaulted to a higher temperature after a particular time.

“This property was fantastic!” My family of five adults recently (July 2012) stayed at this condo just steps from almost everything in downtown Victoria. The apartment is well appointed, and furnished with more daily necessities than many vacation rentals. It was also exceptionally clean. These observations and several conversations with the owners showed that they are clearly interested in the comfort and well-being of their guests. Having to carry or buy dish soap, bathroom tissue, and the like for a stay of a week or less , something we faced in other properties on our trip, is a real turn-off. Thanks again for everything. Our family enthusiastically recommends Heart of Victoria for visitors to that unique city.

“Lovely Retreat Space” Whether you want to organize a personal or group retreat, gather the family for a vacation, or spend a romantic wknd with your partner- this vacation home accommodates all. Living and dining spaces have gigantic picture windows with expansive views of Holmes Harbor and the mountains behind them. You can spend hours on the desk watching the tides coming and going, eagles being chased by ravens, or bask in the sun. It only takes a few steps to cross the lawn and you are on the beach, from which you can launch your boat, or collect sand dollars and shells. Oh, and before I forget: the house also comes with an extensive CD collection with selections from all genres-- and you can turn up the music and dance and sing to your heart's content. We had a soulful retreat at "Baby Beach" and left tons of good energy behind !

“Beautiful, relaxing, charming - just the best!” Xanadu Estate is a short scenic ride north of Victoria. When we arrived at the property we were greeted by Jane who was an incredibly welcoming host. The property is set on beautiful acreage that was covered with all the wonderful colors of fall. The suite offered everything that one could want for a relaxing vacation. (It is just as the pictures show - large, comfortable, clean with all the amenities you could possibly want.)I was sorry that we were not able to stay a bit longer. It is only a short drive to many small communities, restaurants, shopping and the ferries. Around the corner is a wonderful little lavendar farm. Nothing could be better than to explore during the day and then come back to your wonderful suite to sit and relax with a glass of wine or a cup of English tea looking out over the beautiful view. I would love to return in the summer so that I could take advantage of all the wonderful outdoor activities that are available in the area. I would definitely recommend Xanadu to everyone - singles, couples, friends and families.

“We'll be back!” If you're looking for someplace with attentiveness to all the details and more, Ele's Escape is it! Pet-friendly was my first clue it would be wonderful. But I had no idea the food would be so spectacular, the guest room filled with unexpected fun and comfort ( think amazing chocolate, homemade cookies, soft robes and lots more...). The bed was soo soft and cozy, the ocean within view and a 1 minute walk and the hosts incredible. Informative, welcoming and fun, they are some of the best we've experienced.
