“FABULOUS” Our stay at Lifestyles Holiday Vacation Resort was an exceptional vacation! John Wells was extremely thorough in planning all reservations/accommodations and his knowledge of the resort is something to be said – because this place is enormous! I would highly recommend letting John take care of all the details of your stay - he knows what he is doing! So many beaches – so many restaurants… so little time – but try to explore them all! It is advisable to make your dinner reservations upon check in as to make sure you have the opportunity to dine in the restaurants you desire. They are all excellent so you really can’t go wrong. Every choice from fine dining to a snack on the beach is available for your pallet. The Presidential Suites are very comfortable and everything you need is readily available. The Suites are very upscale and I recommend staying in them. The resort staff seemed to bend over backwards for us and very accommodating to our needs. A “must do” while staying on the property is take a little jaunt over to Ocean World for the dolphin adventure – it’s amazing! We have been blessed to stay at Lifestyles twice - both vacations were FABULOUS!

“Great place to stay in Costambar, D.R.” If you've never been to the D.R. before and want an experience that has a more local feel, I would suggest staying at the Ola Del Mar apartment Suites. It is owned and operated by Sabine Warthland with the help of her son and daughter-in law. They are there to greet you at the airport and provide transportation back at the end of your stay. The very clean, cute and comfortable apartments provide a very relaxing place to begin and end your days. The long sandy beach is a 5 minute walk from the apartment and the city of Puerto Plata is a 10 minute car ride. If you like to walk as I do, you can walk to Puerto Plata as it is only about 5 kilometres away.Originally being from Haiti, Sabine is very knowledgeable about both the Dominican and Haitian geographical and political climates. She speaks Spanish, French and English fluently and is more than willing to help all her clients discover the beauty of the country. I have never stayed anywhere (in the many countries I've traveled) that provide the care and support to their clients as what this family does. As a first timer to the D.R. I found that invaluable. If you are looking for a resort stay, this is not it, but if you want to get to know more about the real D.R. and enjoy the sun, beach, golf and various other activities the country has to offer then I would suggest staying here!

“Great private place to stay!!” I stayed on Dec. 10th for two nights had reservation for three but had to leave due to an emergency this is the second time I stay at this location the owners were super friendly and made sure all of out needs were being met.....the place is peaceful and very relaxing...I left an USB chip behind by accident and got contacted by Lynda to let me know how she could get that to me...I am looking forward to staying there on my next trip in the summer...if you are looking for a place where you are not so close to all the hustle and bustle this is the place the beach is right across the street and we traveled about an hour away seeing the nice beaches along the way.....thanks Lynda and Les hope to see you again in the future :)

“We loved it!!” Joe the owner is a great guy, he made himself available from day one. The condo is very well kept full of bright tropical colors, nice decorations and it has everything you need while away from home. The beaches are both walking distance and the condo is also close to hair salons, restaurants, the supermarket and various shops including a grocery store around the corner. Juan was also very helpful and the price is great. I went with my husband and two children 8 and 13 years old and we all had a great time. Overall we would definitely stay here again!
