“Beautiful Home” The setting and view is spectacular. All the rooms were very nice. We enjoyed the pool table upstairs, although be careful as there is a flaw in the slate and the cue ball can go flying! The Sonos music system is also great. The backyard is perfect. Lots of pool toys. We enjoyed the evenings watching the stars. We did have a few minor issues. We had 3 adult couples and it wasn't clear that two of the bedrooms had a shared bath. The other bath was across the hall. We had expected private baths for each bedroom. The showers are beautiful but water pressure is minimal. Lastly, it seems that pool and hot tub controls are managed by the owner down below. The pool light would turn off and if you wanted to swim late, we couldn't find a pool light switch. Lastly, we didn't have heat in the hot tub the first day/night and requested help from the owner. No response. The pool maintenance person fixed it for us the next day. Even with these minor issues, I would recommend the home again. It is beautiful and has stunning views. We enjoyed the fruit trees, too.

“Our First Maui Vacation” My girlfriend and I have used Vrbo before, for properties in Europe and have never had an issue. Jill and Terry did not disappoint! The Honua Kai property and more specifically the unit we stayed in owned by Jill and Terry was absolutely incredible! I think it's rated as 4 stars, but clearly it was closer to 5 stars in our opinion. The description and photos on the unit were quite accurate. Jill was amazing with customer service and always helped us when needed. The amount of local information made available to us in the form of a very big binder or two in their condo was awesome. The condo unit was very clean and tidy when we arrived. We highly recommend a visit to Honolua Bay to go snorkling. It's only about a 15 minutes drive from the property, and worth the visit! It's a rocky beach, so leave the beach chairs at home and just take towels and snorkel equipment with you. Also, if you're a foodie, check out Roy's, about 5 miles south of Honua Kai. As well, Duke's is on the Honua Kai resort property and it's an awesome restaurant for drinks, lunch and dinner-highly recommend both Dukes and Roy's. We also went to the Old Lahaina Luau one night, and boy it was just amazing! Great entertainment and food. We would recommend this property to anyone, and have already done so with our friends.

“A wonderful, relaxing place to stay in Maui” Just what we wanted! The place is very convenient, and has the amenities needed for a relaxing beach vacation, including beach chairs & mats, towels, boogie boards etc. Parking is a breeze, and it's close to the bus line as well. The well equipped kitchen inspired us to eat in most evenings. I would recommend to my friends as family.

“Paradise Found” Thank you for providing a beautiful condo for us to stay in. The unit was in the perfect location at the resort. We loved seeing the lights from the garden pool outside of our bedroom at night. The furnishings are absolutely beautiful and the unit was very clean! We loved the spa shower! We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our vacation. We only wish that we had booked a longer trip. We will definitely be back. We really appreciated your recomendations on where to eat and what to see while visiting Maui. Star noodle is our new favorite restaurant! The location of the resort itself was perfect. We loved being able to walk to new restaurants every night, except for the nights we cooked in! We really enjoyed the Bbq's and the fully stocked kitchen. We were also able to find free parking every night on the street out front. Thank you again for lettings us stay in your beautiful condo, we will be back!

“Great condo, Great Location!” Great condo, great location! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently returned home from a 10 day stay at Papakea G-407! I wish I could have stayed forever! The condo is in a great location convenient to several gorgeous beaches and a short drive to Lahaina town. We had all the conveniences needed to prepare meals in and enjoyed dinner on the lanai several evenings with a beautiful sunset! Anne provided a great deal of information on the area as well as helpful hints for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The grounds at Papakea are absolutely beautiful! There are two great pools as well as two large jacuzzis. We will definitely return to this condo on our next visit to beautiful Maui! Thank you, Anne and Wes for sharing your home with us! “Excellent Condo for the Money” When we reserved the condo we got three very informative emails in reply letting us know about check in-check out procedures, nearby restaurants, car rentals, activities in Maui, etc., so that was very helpful. When we got there we found the condo very clean with plenty of comfortable furnishings. There is no A/C but we found that if we opened the windows and turned on the fans in the evenings, the condo stayed very comfortable. It did not get too hot in the middle of the day. Kevin's policy of marking refrigerator items with the date of purchase is brilliant and renters to save on the cost of condiments and other little items. The pantry was full of staples too, so if you forgot to get something at the store, you will likely find it in the cupboard! Kevin keeps the bathroom medicine cabinet, linen closet and bedroom closets stocked with everything else you may need - boogie boards, sand toys, snorkel equipment, pool noodles, laundry detergent, bleach, bandages, antibacterial ointment, sunscreen, linens, beach towels, duct tape, you name it! The only thing we needed but couldn't find was a pair of scissors, but we got by! FYI, there is no dishwasher, so you will have to wash the dishes by hand. The location is very nice. It is in a part of town where you can walk to restaurants, a natural (but vegetarian) market, coffee shop, shave ice store, surf shop, etc. Plus it is a bout a 5-10 minute drive north of Lahaina if you need more in terms of shops and restaurants. Lahaina is also a prime spot for surf and paddleboard lessons and for hiring a boat for deep sea fishing, among other activities. The condo is also right across the street from a nice, well-used (by locals and tourists alike) park and beach. The surf doesn't get real big here, so it was a perfect boogie boarding location for our 10 year old, and a nice fishing location for our 14 year old. Plus, BONUS PART, a sea turtle hung out with us one afternoon, eating whatever grows on the rocks just off shore and swimming around our ankles.

“Paradise Awaits You!” This is the perfect place to stay. The owners are fabulous to work with and provided excellent key information about the area! The accommodations are excellent with every need available from a fully stock kitchen to a wonderful living area with movies to a gorgeous set of bedrooms to a closet with everything necessary for a great day at the beach. Also, provided is music CD and lots of books for you down time leisure. We loved all of the amenities!!!! The location is ideally located to the beach, shopping, food, etc. The owners recommended a trip better known as the road to Hana. It is an island must do. I highly recommend a small tour group. It was a pleasure having an expert guide, driver, and cook take us on a super trip including lunch and trip along the back side of the island. Thanks for the perfect week in paradise. Looking forward to a return visit!!!

“Clean, modern, wonderful place to stay” When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and clean the condo was. It was like being home. Beautiful grounds, pool, and easy access to beach.

“Wonderful accommodations” We stayed at Jean's condo for 2 weeks in Feb/March 2014. The condo was outstanding on the quiet end of Kihei Rd. This is a very nice condo with an island color scheme. The furnishings were comfortable both inside and on the lanai. There is air conditioning but you can get a nice breeze moving if you use the ceiling fans and keep the windows open. Everything was there for our use. The only thing you need to bring is a change of clothes, perishable groceries and a toothbrush. The cupboards were well stocked with almost everything imaginable including aloe vera for my husbands nasty sunburn. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is a great advantage. The laundry detergent & fabric softener were provided. The kitchen has all kinds of stuff you might need including a mix master, food processor etc. We have made several trips to Maui and have never stayed somewhere that was so well stocked. The condo was very well cleaned without a speck of dust anywhere. The floors shined. The gardeners are meticulous. Not a single blade of grass was out of place. The area around the pool has several bbq's and an outdoor kitchen. The pool and hot tub were nice and didn't have excessive chemicals used. Jean was very attentive to our needs. She answered phone calls and replied to all emails within minutes. She provided a lovely gift basket for us filled with coffee, potato chips, chocolates plus other goodies. She has a book of information in the condo with recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. I would highly recommend this condo for anybody that needs a two bedroom. I wish there was a way to leave more than 5 stars because this place is a 10. Thank you again Jean for sharing your lovely condo with us. I cannot wait to go back. We will most certainly rent from you again on our next trip.

“Best trip to Maui ever!” We spent 2 weeks in Terry and Jill's fabulous condo. It had everything we needed and more! Laundry soap, spices, hand soap, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrella plus lots more. Terry or Jill were always reachable before or during our trip to answer any questions. We will for sure be back to this resort and book with them again!

“Exactly as promised” Very nice accommodation very central. Less than mile from downtown business. Some much closer. Shaved ice and other restaurants are closer.

“Great place to stay” Took a chance on a different rental and glad we did. Condo is very well equipped with necessities, clean and in walking distance to beach. There's lots off good restaurants to venture to, plus fast food if care to go that way. Grocery stores near by. Really enjoyed our stay.

“Hideaway for Best Getaway” Location: We travelled all over the island, seeing every little nook and cranny. What we realized was that our home base, the "Hideaway" is ideally located on the island. You're centrally located between Kihei (our favourite town), the airport, Lahaina, et al. You're also near some of the best beaches around, including Sugar Beach, the one on which the Hideaway sits, which has one of the best views on all of the island. One suggestion is to stop to get supplies from one of the major grocers near the airport, when you first arrive, to get a firm base of what you need: beer, snacks, meat, veggies, etc. Then you can shop at the nearby general stores for convenience or 10 minute drive to Foodland for following shopping needs. Amenities: The "\Hideaway has everything you need to operate comfortably: dishes, utensils, bedding, beach supplies, cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, brand new oven/stove, brand new TV/sound system, etc. The balcony has the best view. The unit being on the second floor is great in that you get an elevated view but you're still quick to access parking or the pool by elevator or stairs. Facilities: The pool area is superior in its craftsmanship and comfort. It has the only Jacuzzi in the area. You wouldn't think something like this would be necessary in a hot area but it's amazing, especially in the hot, bright sun. One of, if not the biggest highlight about this building is its proximity to the ocean. Not only is there no road between your balcony and the ocean but you're so near to it that you can see the sea turtles floating by. Apparently this luxury of being so close to the ocean is not something you'll see anymore on Maui as they have changed their regulations so that buildings need to be built much further from the ocean. Owners: Accommodating to the max. Wendall and Sally only want you to have the best possible experience on Maui and in the Hideaway. I can't even go to the lengths at which Wendall went to make sure our stay was excellent, suffice to say that it couldn't have been as good without having them to help us out. Conclusion: If you can get in to the Hideaway, go with the opportunity and you will be happy you did.

“Just like home!!” Our accommodation exceeded my expectation. It was located on a beautiful private beach that has a family of turtles that we would find everyday. The view was stunning. We were a party 5 ladies. My daughter turned 21 with her bestie. My friend and her 16 daughter. We felt safe on the top floor. Though my friend felt our place was too warm ( no air) I was very comfortable as the breeze was always there. It was updated downstairs with whirlpool tub upstairs. The best part was the owner Deb who was always available and had little gifts for my daughter a bottle of champagne and cupcakes. She made this occasion very special. I really felt we experienced Maui in a very authentic way. I will be coming back to this place.

“Beautiful spacious semi-private condo in Kaanapali Beach area” We just returned to the mainland after staying seven days in unit B206 at the Maui Eldorado. We loved the semi-private corner location of this very spacious condo. We loved the quiet setting but also loved the ability to walk to Whalers Village, the Kaanapali Shorewalk, restaurants, etc. There is an upscale strip mall close by that has a gym, coffee shop, and a well stocked general store. Maui Eldorado has its own private beach cabana on the quiet side of Black Rock Beach. The resort provides golf cart transportation to and from the beach cabana. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a golf cart. It's a quick trip that is walkable if one decides to skip the golf cart. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The property manager Barb was so helpful and responsive to any questions. She was a joy to work with before and during our stay. We were extremely impressed by the cleanliness of B206. We definitely would stay here again.
