“A beautiful house in stunning surroundings!!” This beautifully designed and well finished new house is set in a wonderfully serene tropical garden where bananas, mangoes, papaya, jack fruit and many more lovely things grow. It's a short walk along a delightful jungle path to wonderful Mirissa Beach. We sat in the garden on evening after a barbecue on the terrace, looking up at the fireflies playing in the tops of the mango trees, set against an amazing star filled clear sky. Heaven on Earth! We also became good friends with the lovely Sri Lankan family who live close by and look after the property. They are always so helpful and would often offer us tasty treats from their kitchen. While the house sits in a nice quiet garden, there is also a popular guest house with a nice garden a short walk away, where you can eat well and cheaply, if you don't fancy cooking yourself. I will certainly be going back to Mirissa some time over the next winter and look forward to staying here and meeting all the friends I made again!!
