“Good enough to do again!” We were pleased that the unit was clean and ready for us - even had new small appliances and new sheets. Could have used an extra set of sheets so that the beds could be made up even when the sheets were in the laundry. The Comcast units had not been set up properly, when we were able to reach the office, someone promptly appeared and made things right. Overall we were ver satisfied and will rebook.However, the office is difficult to reach to make the initial bookings and slow to respond to questions before you arrive - and I have seen them make a mistake in booking two parties for the same condo. (This was straightened out - but caused some serious agitiation before it was resolved)

“This was a place of calm in a busy world.” My husband and I enjoyed a week at your casita. We found that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. “This is a home away from home” We must like this condo since we have rented it for the past several years! Ventana Vista is private and, when we have been there(February), very quiet. The property is nicely located near Sabino Canyon and has good access to shopping and other Tucson activities. There is a pool and fitness room, too. We have found Tucson Vacation Rentals' service to be excellent - the check-in procedure is convenient and the condo is clean, well stocked and very well maintained. The facilities(laundry, kitchen, internet, TV) are up to date and in great working order. The furnishings are tasteful and very comfortable, as well. In short, this is a splendid base for a Tucson visit.

“Great location” The location is great. Very near Sabino Canyon and other points of interest for us. The condo was well appointed, comfortable and quiet. The pool is small but well maintained and the grounds are beautiful.

“Another great stay in Tucson!” This year's vacation at The Greens at Ventanna Canyon in Tucson was our third in as many years. The first two years we stayed for a month. This year we stayed for five weeks, and next year we have already rented the same condo for six weeks. Obviously, we like staying there! The location is perfect because we have very good friends who live about one mile away. We love Tucson because it's very different in scenery, vegetation, plants, etc., from our home in Ohio. We also have made new friends with people who live at the Greens or stay there seasonally. That's an added bonus. So, all-in-all, we regard coming to Tucson and staying at the Greens as a perfect vacation choice for us.

About Mount Lemmon, Arizona

Surrounded by desert, Mount Lemmon is the highest point in Arizona’s Coronado National Forest and has a climate totally different from the area around it.

At an elevation of 9,157 feet, it’s a popular summer getaway for people looking to escape the oppressive summer heat of Tucson and Phoenix.

Named after prominent American botanist, Sara Allen Plummer Lemmon, following her ascent of the Santa Catalina Mountains highest peak in 1881, it’s one of the few mountains in the world to be named after a woman.

On average, the climate on top of the mountain is 20 degrees cooler than at its base which leads to heavy amounts of snowfall during the winter.

With a uniquely different flora and fauna than the desert floor below, the mountain is home to deer, black bear, and newly reintroduced bighorn sheep rather than the usual Gila monsters, snakes, and lizards.

What to do

The University of Arizona’s College of Science maintains an observatory on Mount Lemmon and runs programs and workshops that allow participants to gaze into the night sky using a powerful 32-inch Schulman telescope. The places fill up quickly so be sure to book well in advance.

Fishing for Lake Rainbow trout can be found in nearby Rose Canyon, but with no accommodation or eating establishments available, you will need to camp overnight at the Rose Canyon Campground near the lake.

A popular hiking and rock climbing destination during the summer months, Mount Lemmon is also home to the southernmost ski resort in the United States, “Ski Valley”. Open from December until March, Ski Valley usually receives 175 inches of snowfall on its 21 trails that feature five beginners runs, eight intermediate slopes and eight downhill trails reserved for advanced skiers. Top Mount Lemmon travel tips

To visit Mount Lemmon and Ski Valley, you need to get on the Catalina Highway from Tucson. This is also a back-road route to Mount Lemmon, but it is only for those with a high ground clearance vehicle and a spirit of adventure. Take Highway 77 in the direction of Oracle State Park after about two miles for the unpaved ascent up the mountain.
