“Incredible Beach house with perfect Location!!” We cant say enough about our week at the Castle by The Sea! The house is expansive, gorgeous and beautifully decorated for that perfect beach house. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious and was wonderful to cook in. The house is very spacious with many rooms for a large group to have privacy if they wanted to have their own time. It was great having the private pool and hot tub. Hearing the waterfall is also very soothing. Each bedroom had a perfect view of the ocean, and hearing the waves at night would gently lull us to sleep. The bathrooms also had a wonderful jacuzzi tub that you could relax and watch the ocean waves roll in. Very calming! After experiencing this incredible home and being so close to the ocean, it's definitely oceanfront going forward. The walk to the beach is perfect having it's own walkway. Before you get to the beach, there is some great seating that you can sit and just enjoy watching the waves. Also has a bathroom and shower at the walkway so that you don't even have to come into the house to use the restroom while you're at the beach. We cannot wait to come back again next year and hopefully convince more family to make the drive and come. I highly recommend this house. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very relaxing which is what I needed.

“Peaceful Retreat” We have been to Love Winds many times and we just love it there. The house is quaint, comfortable and private and sooo relaxing. There are large trees that shade the entire property so it is so cool and cozy during the warm beach months. Peaceful reading and relaxing atmosphere and love the screen porch too. Big flat screen tv a plus to my husband also. Beach is right around the corner and the restuarants in town have great prices and the town is peaceful too...

“A Classy Vacation Experience in any Season” My brother, who has problems walking, and I stayed at Sunnybank for a little under a week in the early spring when the Corolla horses are foaling. The layout of the well-appointed, three-storey main building was perfect for our needs: the fabulous view from the top floor living room provided the inspiration for him to walk up the grand stair case, and he could take the elevator when he was having problems walking. (There are two bedrooms with walk-in showers to accommodate people who have a problem walking.) It rained the first two days, which might have been gloomy any where else, but the library of videos, and stashes of games and playing cards gave us the opportunity to connect in ways that we hadn't since we were children. The fabulous cook's kitchen and multiple eating areas can accommodate a wedding party, family reunion, or any get away time one might want. Mine was a working vacation and the office there, which is outfitted with excellent Ethernet and WiFi connections plus a daybed for napping, was a better arrangement than my office at home. Comfort and casual, yet classy ambience abounds at Sunnybank. An excellent find!

“Lovely southern home with all amenities” This is the second time I have stayed at Saltaire and is the first time with my husband and son. What a terrific time it was. This place is just incredible. From the private pool and hot tub to a massive "man cave" complete with pool table, foosball, darts and more. My husband turned into a kid again playing with my son into the wee hours of the morning. Above all else, because Saltaire is pet-friendly, we were able to take our two Porties with us who made those long walks on the beach the absolute best. I can't recommend Saltaire enough if you are looking for an exquisite place to "call home" while on vacation in the Outer Banks!

“Pet-Friendly Destingation” As a 'Pet-Blogger', I am always looking for great places to holiday with our two dogs Henry, and Reese. More specifically, somewhere we can 'enjoy' with the dogs without having to worry about what to do with them when we visit restaurants, shops or go sightseeing. The Dolphin Inn was the perfect place to stay! This trip was arranged as a group get together; my husband, parents, in-laws and sister with her husband and two small children. The spacious accommodation meant no one felt as if they were tripping over one another. Although we didn't eat evening meals as a group, we enjoyed breakfast together at a large table located beside the spacious kitchen on the upper level. Because of the layout and quiet location of the Inn, we were comfortable leaving Henry and Reese to relax comfortably when we went out to do 'people only' things. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions regarding things to do and see in the area. Upon arrival we found guides with locations and contact information, as well as preferred rates on several activities for guests of the Inn. I am happy to recommend The Dolphin Inn to groups or families with or without dogs!

“Peaceful” The unit we stayed in was very clean. Our unit favorite was the balcony swing. It was nice to sit on in the evenings, in the shade, and listen to the ocean sounds. We enjoyed walks in the evening at Fort Fisher. My personal highlight of the stay was seeing dolphins the first early morning of our stay. The restaurants are nearby and so is a grocery store called Food Lion. We enjoyed visiting nearby towns of Wilmington and Southpoint. You can find even more good eats and quaint local shopping there. I would have given 5 stars but we were disappointed that we couldn't see the entire beach from the balcony due to the setback of the building behind two other buildings. The ocean is directly in front of the unit but the view is obscured due to the two buildings on either side. Also, the workout center was closed due to construction the entire stay. The unit could also use an updated microwave. The owners are very easy to work with and good at communication.

“Outstanding” The condo was perfect, the view was magnificent, the pool lounge chairs were great...the set up was perfect for us..the Lazy Pirate and The Deck were delicious, as well as Hang Ten Grill and of course you can't beat Pops Diner's hotdogs all the way.Will definitely be back! The décor in the condo was very inviting and our favorite was the canvas wave pic over the dining room table. beds slept great and watching sun rise in the morning was a vacation in itself.. Thank you!!

“Lovely, spacious and thoughtfully stocked home” Kelly's Beach Retreat is a fantastic place. Steps from the beach, thoughtfully stocked, and with an inviting open kitchen and dining room. The place gets amazing light and is very relaxing. Glenn was great to work with as well. Our only note is that while the home is wonderful for families--and large ones at that!--parents of toddlers should note that there are a lot of steps that are very attractive to little climbers. Had we thought about it, we would have put a mini gate or something in the car with us.

“The best place to stay in Carolina Beach” This was our second stay at this place and it was great. The apartment was very clean and as soon as we arrived we were able to go right in and unpack. Bobby and Diane are the best people you could ever meet.They are friendly and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The relaxing view from the front porch is very nice and private.As long as they have places to rent I will not stay anywhere else when I go to the beach. Each time we stay at one of their places we seem to have a better time than our last visit. We look forward to seeing them next year if not again this year.They are the best. The Whites

“Wonderful Vacation in Beautiful Beach House” We spent the last week in May at this Beach House. Everything was included in this rental home. There are bikes to ride, sand toys, beach games, board games, video games, books, an extensive video collection, movie services, WIFI, full kitchen, hot tub, swimming pool, and a beautifully decorated home. We enjoyed our trip so much. We had so much to do even when it rained. My 2 year old son loved the bunk beds. Corolla Beach is just a close walk. I hope we can come again! I don't think I would stay anywhere else on the Outer Banks.
