“understated luxury, impeccable gracious service.” I had the pleasure of staying at Sayang Estate in September and it truly was exceptional. The grounds are immaculate spacious and private. The interior simple, airy and elegant. Many villas in Bali can be a bit "dated" or overdone in decor. Villa Sayang strikes the right cord of authentic Bali feel meets chic modern boutique. All of our needs were attended to most graciously from delivering wine and motorbikes to Babi guling but we were always given just the right amount of privacy. Fantastic location. Easy to get to town, restaurants and grocery store. My very favorite part of the day... breakfast in the open living room bale. Fresh fruits, local honey, yogurt, omelets and the best coffee! Thanks for a great stay!

“relaxing time” Had a pleasent stay. But was disappointed with the breakfast timings and the menu. Shuold extend the timings as people on vacations get up late. And my frnds who were vegetarian had nothing to eat in the breakfast except cornflakes and bread. Very bad experience with breakfast. Room service was good.

“Sublime tropical villa” We give this Villa 5 or 6 stars of the possible rating (of maximum 5) because of: * the beauty of the villa * the amazing tropical garden * the gorgeous pool. However, internet connectivity caused anxiety on the first day; and when 'sorted' on the 2nd day, was still not reliable. We totally recommend this exquisite and private retreat. We will be back ... when the internet problem is sorted. We very appreciated Kay's plants in the tropical garden - and the absolute beauty that surrounded us in her villa..

“Our stay at the Villa Palm Kuning was ideal.” The villa was lovely and provided all of the facilities that we could possibly want. The building itself was spotless and well maintained. We cannot say enough about the young man Wayan who cooked and cleaned for us. Even on the final day when we were leaving early he came to see us off to make sure that everything was OK and waited with us until our van arrived. We woulrd also like to thank Steve Castley who made the arrangements for us. This is the fourth time we have rented a villa through him and we have never been disappointed.

“Wonderful hideaway in Ubud” This place is truly a gem. I stayed here for 3 weeks in April. It's in the middle of the paddi fields yet it is a short walk away from the main road in Penestanan. The villa is beautiful and it was great to come back to have your own pool and small kitchen and beautiful bathroom. My only recommendation is that the villa make available the following: - access to a motorbike/driver during the stay as it is dark and difficult to walk back at night - a local mobile phone so that you can ask questions and stay in contact with the villa management if you have to ask a question. As this villa is by itself, if something goes wrong, there was no way to contact them. Luckily they gave me a phone when I asked for it as one night, the gas in the kitchen ran out and it had to be changed immediately. - a small booklet letting guests know what they can do in the surrounding areas, amenities available such as restaurants, phone numbers, yoga studios, shopping, laundry services etc. - provide mosquito coils for the outdoor area and electric coils in the bedroom as there are alot of mosquitoes around. I had to buy my own. - provide a fan in the outdoor area as it can get very hot when the air is still. - the internet is somewhat spotty but it could just be Indonesia though. Overall, I had a really pleasant stay and would definately stay here again when I return to Ubud.

“Amazing, authentic, gorgeous, romantic, and such sweet people!” My husband and I booked a last minute reservation with Jaya at one of his Bali Udud Villas. It was even better than we expected. Don't hesitate, stay here! We got to stay at two different villas and took a peek at a third, and all were amazing. Each villa is a true balinese escape. The design, architecture, gardens, views and pool were so breathtakingly beautiful. Jaya and his family were extremely sweet and took really good care of us. Wayan made us delicious breakfasts and served them right in our garden next to the pool. Jaya and his nephew gave us rides to wherever we wanted to go (much easier than driving and parking). But we just wanted to stay at the villa--really, it's amazing! Highly recommend! The villas are very well maintained, wifi is reliable, and location is ideal (just out of the madness of downtown Ubud). And very quiet (didn't notice any rooster noise).

“Best place to stay in Bali ! Simply amazing villa and much bette” We have spent 2 incredible months in Pandan Tree Villas starting November 1st. It became a home for us! We have also traveled around Bali and I will have to say that this is for sure one of the best Villas to stay in Bali.Go ahead booking it without a doubt! You get a great quality for a very reasonable price. Location is pretty good as located in Canggu, very calm & quite place surrounded by nature and not far from the center(5 min. to the Echo & Tugu beach where you can have surfing,amazing sunsets,breakfast & lunch and 20 min. ride to Seminyak for a good shopping,nightlife & fine dinning).I also recommend to rent a bike for moving around. Staff of Pandan Tree Villas is super helpful and doing a really good job.Always clean and tidy! Thanks a lot to Daniel, D.Pana, Nyoman,Ayu & Eka for care & truly friendly approach.You can ask for anything and they are always there to help you! Villa itself is very comfortable and is even better than shown in the photos.We often used open kitchen for preparing tasty dinner and the pool of course was our favorite place :) We are going to come back to Pandan Tree Villas for sure!Already missing it:) Cheers Davit

“Peaceful retreat in hectic Ubud” We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Nyoman. We have stayed for a week after first staying in Sama' s cottages down the street. We loved the swimming pool and the different seating areas. There is a very nice gazebo that looks out over the pool, an outside bench with comfortable cushions and a daybed in the living room. Drinking water is provided and cleaning is done daily. It is very difficult to find without very precise directions or Made meeting you. A transfer arranged by Made might therefore be a good idea. All communications with Made were very straightforward and he was always easy to reach. The location was good, Jalan Bisma is a nice street with different eating options. We especially liked Cafe des artistes, Miro and Rouge for drinks. Jalan Bisma opens onto the main street of Ubud and that street is very hectic and difficult to walk during rush hour (which at times seemed to be all day). If you are walking and want to get to Monkey Forest Road it is much nicer to take the shortcut through Nick's pension (very close to the villa). You have to walk all the way to the river,, cross the river and then walk back up. You will end up near the football field.

“Will be back” Awesome place! Everything you want from a villa! Generous rooms and great bathrooms. The lounge was fantastic and the pool boy was also very accommodating! I will definetly be back! Special thanks to Steve!

“Quiet, Peace and Tranquility in Ubud” From booking the villa to eventually having to leave, Rick and Ketut were great. We were welcomed into the place with smiles all around. We did not need to lift a single bag of luggage. The villa is even better than in the pics, and was awesome to just chill by the pool. The sound of the waterfall feature in the pool just instantly relaxes you, there is no sounds of traffic. The villa is located on a walking path a short stroll away from the main road, and there are numerous eateries nearby and taxis are plentiful next to Babu warung. Make sure you dont rush off every morning to the tourist hotspots around Ubud. Stay around to see the morning offerings in the villa and prayers up close and personal. I'd book again if I return to Ubud.
