“Not favorite unit” This was not our favorite unit in this complex. We have stayed at Emerald Towers West almost annually over the the last few years and preferred all the other units to this one. Everything was okay, but we like other units better. Our air conditioner went out, but was replaced immediately. The flooring needs to be updated, and all the units would be better with heavier, light-blocking drapes on the bedroom windows that face the parking area. As always, all the staff were nice and professional and responded to our requests quickly and efficiently. The beach service is always a nice bonus and the young men who serve the Emerald Towers West area are courteous and always friendly and helpful.

“nice” condo was very nice we had lots of room for everyone. the washer and dryer being in the bedroom was odd. the cleaning ladies need to check all bathroom drawers we found tobacco poured out in one to the bathrooms drawers that should have been cleaned up a few dishes that was not clean and put in the cabinet but our overall stay was great.We will be back

“Great condo” I'd recommend this condo to everyone. It is close to the only elevator in the complex so that's good. Only complaint is the pool location -- across the parking lot from the building.

“Perfect Location, Poor Ocean” Room was nice and we had plenty room for a family of 4. The sand at the beach is by far the best we have ever seen. The only bad thing about the trip was the poor visibility of the water, maybe it was because we went in late July, but the seaweed was terrible in the ocean, not enjoyable at all. We had a snorkeling trip scheduled thru Destin Snorkel but they actually called us to let us know we would not enjoy the cruise because of poor water visibility. If we never go back it wont be because of the Gulf Dunes Resort it will be because of the Gulf of Mexico.

“Spectacular Views, Wonderful Condo” The property and location were great. I liked that the property was a walk down to the beach and had a good size swimming pool. The condo's balcony overlooked the ocean which was breathtaking. The property was only minutes from the grocery store and about 10 minutes from Destin Harborwalk.

“Wonderful vacation” The location of this property is great. The view from the balcony is awesome. The beach service is great especially not having to set up a tent each day - love the umbrella and chair service. The condo was nice but the bedroom furniture could use a little updating-possibly some new mattresses. Overall, our vacation was wonderful and relaxing.

“Wonderful week!!!!” We had a GREAT vacation this past week at The Islander (unit 4006. The condo is super nice and the view from the balcony is AMAZING! The only bad experience we had in the condo is the washer and dryer. These were not upgraded along with the rest of the appliances in the condo. It ruined 2 bathing suits, a couple of shirts and put burn marks on several pairs of shorts... Lesson learned on dryer and the rest of the stay was uneventful. We will be back for sure!

“hints” Pretty good, tubs did not drain good, shower curtain was dirty. We stay on 4th right above pool, too much noise and kids screaming. And the tall lip at sliding door, way too high. But we enjoyed ourselves.

“Anniversary vacay” Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures. I just regret not taking photos of the rooms for proof. The beach view was beautiful and everyone who came with us kept saying how we have to return again! This condo is very much worth it! The pool is much longer than the pic I have here, the beach view from the side of the condo and the balcony (which is long), and the condo is shown in the background of the last photo.

“SUPER SATISFIED” The unit itself was as advertised, and meant our expectations. Maint.issues would be the slider onto the balcony from living room area was stubborn and may have a flat spot on the roller. Maybe an all-over unit paint job is necessary in the off-season. I was impressed with the cookwear as the skillet was useable and actually may have been newly purchased. Now, I know that may not sound like much, but from my experience elsewhere, let me tell you, a decent frying pan is hard to come by in the vaca rental world. Kudos to the Brooks and Shorey staff~ your rental/check-in/check-out process is seamless. Lastly, we love the area, white sand, calm waters, and look forward to returning soon.

“Beach 2013” Staff was great; especially Mary Ann. She went above and beyond during reservation process and while on site. Only issue with unit is that all mattresses need to be replaced. Will be back next year!
