“Week in paradise” First time to the island and the vacation was great especially with the accommodations at the Pink Sand Cottage. Perfect for the two of us and loved the views from inside and outside the house of nothing but beach and water. I'm not sure how it is other times of the year but almost every day we were the only ones on the beach. Maybe just timing but it felt as though we were the only ones on the island at times and having the peace and quiet was much needed. Thanks to Ken and adele for a great week and hope to be back soon! “Perfect Getaway at the Kokomo” We rented the Kokomo Beach House in Casuarino Point for 9 days and was so totally impressed with the place that we felt like we were at home...everything you could possibly need or want was at the house. The house is beautifully decorated and the view from the front porch is priceless. We spent endless days and nights sitting on the porch enjoying a cocktail or two and just enjoying the view. The beach is a gorgeous white sand beach with turquoise waters to swim, paddle or boat on...walks on the beach in the early morning to the point to watch the sunrise were peaceful and beautiful...sunsets were watched right from our porch or out in front of the place on the beach...you get the best of both worlds from this location. Marsh Harbour is about 15 miles away, but this gives you the opportunity to pick up groceries, etc. while you are in town and enjoy grilling and making your meals back at the house. A very much needed fun relaxing trip was had by the 4 of us and highly recommend the renting of the Kokomo Beach House or one of Kathy's other 3 houses on Casuarino Point!

“A true get-a-way!” From the moment we landed, to the moment we left, George took care of every detail! If you are looking for a true get-a-way - this is the place. A busy day at the beach might include seeing 1 or 2 other people, otherwise you have every beach to your self! There is plenty to enjoy on the beach in from of Wymmsicalwish or take a drive, there are secluded beaches down every dirt road, each with their own unique personality. This was our second (of many more to come)visit to Whymmsical Wish. We have stayed there with our grown children and it has been throughly enjoyed by all.The guest house comfortably slept all 6 adults and we enjoyed breakfast every morning in the screened it porch. The fully equiped kitchen allowed us to make lunches and snacks to enjoy at the beach. We all were greatful for the wireless access to make sure that things were running well back at the office!

“Lovely vacation home!” My husband and I just had the most romantic, secluded, perfectly relaxing vacation while renting the Palmetto Sunrise Villa in Eleuthera this May 2013. The location was great for visiting Governor's Harbor, and a short 10-15 minute drive to several great places to eat (we ate out often at Tippy's and The Beachhouse). The homeowners have been friendly and helpful in every way possible to assist with our planning of activities, from flights into the island to exploring the beaches. We were most impressed with the large notebook made for guests and used the information in it every day. The book has detailed directions for finding one's way to the special beaches of Eleuthera (photos of landmarks along the way included), and up-to-date notes on who to talk to for scheduling tours, and recent details on local restaurants. The Palmetto Sunrise Villa is luxuriously furnished, completely well-equipped and decorated in a lovely manner with many tropical paintings and sea-motif arrangements of shells and sea fan. Everything was top notch and meticulously maintained. It is readily evident that the homeowners care deeply about keeping their villa in top condition and it is heartwarming that they are so open to sharing this beautiful island and its many special attractions with guests who are fortunate enough to choose to rent the Palmetto Sunrise for a vacation. One of our favorite activities was viewing the incredibly starry night skies. We also enjoyed daily walks both on the roads and along the beaches in both directions from the house. The breeze off the atlantic was always cool and refreshing. We walked to the nearest restaurant, at the Unique Resort and enjoyed having drinks there. They have a beautiful beach and great views from the restaurant. The best thing about our stay in Eleuthera was the harmony with nature, warm climate, friendly people, clear water and escape from crowded civilization to a much more leisurely pace.

“Can't wait to go back!” We recently returned from a week at Grotto Bay and it exceeded our expectations in every way - great accommodations, ideal location for exploring, private beach and recreation right at your front door, and everything you need nearby. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The full outdoor kitchen had everything we could need so it was perfect for self-catering. The nearby grocery stores are small but fully stocked. Prices were comparable to what you would find in a large metropolitan area in the U.S., (like Seattle or Boston). The beach out front is great for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying a drink under the palapa. The owners provide high quality water toys (stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear). We also explored the length of the island by car and found the location to be perfectly situated in the middle of the island so everything is a reasonable drive. This was our first trip to the Bahamas and my main goal was to find some self-guided/do-it-yourself bonefishing. We booked a day with a local fishing guide on our own before heading down to the Bahamas, but the owners can arrange one for you too. After this we fished on our own and found great flats within an easy five minute kayak paddle from Grotto Bay. There's another accessible flat a five minute drive away (the owners have our notes and maps) and we saw enough fish on these two nearby spots to keep us busy. There are many other accessible flats on the island too, but we ran out of time to fish them all. I can't say enough about how welcoming and helpful the owners of Grotto Bay are. They helped us make car arrangements in advance, and were always willing to answer questions or provide directions to beaches, restaurants, and attractions on the island. Any time we needed anything (cooler, fish for dinner, flashlights to explore the cave), they were extremely accommodating.
