“GREAT COTTAGE” This was the perfect cottage for my week at the beach. Has everything you need, clean, comfortable, and the location is awesome. You do not have to cross the road to walk up to the beach, so barefoot is fine, and it is just a short walk to the Pier, where there is food and entertainment. Outdoor shower and faucet make keeping the cottage clean easy, and the appliances appear to be nearly new. Hope to go back again next September.

“Gorgeous House in a Great Location !” This house was really beautiful, especially the great room which is just breathtaking. Loved the simplicity of check in (which consisted of just arriving at the house and waiting for 4PM when the lock code would re-set to the code that had been provided to us) and check out (which consisted of leaving :) We had a "furniture malfunction" on our last day there, but OBB just came and picked it up to take it for repair, no questions asked. The only downsides to the house are: #1)the hot tub (which, frankly, shouldn't even be advertised as an amenity because it's just one of those "temporary" kinds (but looks like it's been there a long time) This was not a real issue for us, however, as we are not big hot-tub users. #2) Food storage area...there's no real pantry. We moved pots and pans around to make some room for food. #3) The thermostat for the bedrooms on the main (great room) floor are outside of the bedrooms and, thus, regulates based on the temp in the great room rather than the bedrooms themselves. No big deal once you figure out how you need to "offset" the temp. After the first night we knew what to do and it wasn't a problem. None of those three problems were deal breakers for us, though, because the house is just so gorgeous, the beach in front of the house is uncrowded (in early august,prime season, we didn't have any other people set up on the beach closer than maybe 50 feet from us) and the location is great with regards to proximity to grocery store, the walking/biking trail to Duck, etc. There is also an elevator that actually works, not that we used it for anything other than groceries. We hope to rent this house again next year !

“Tarheel Treasure Pleasure” My entire experience from beginning to end was very pleasant. The house was perfect for our needs and I really appreciated the convenience of the keyless entry. The neighborhood was quiet and not far at all from grocery stores and shopping. And even better was the very short walk to the beach!

“Great View” Good acomadations. Under new ownership so many little things to be attended to. But the location and the setting are great and the rooms are spacious. Being right on the beach is priceless.

“Great Location - A Little TLC Needed” This is a great home for families as it has plenty of BR & Baths. The upstairs family room has enough seating so the entire family can be together. The hot tub was a nice feature but needs better maintenace for chemicals. Only aspect needing immediate ttention are the toilets. With signs telling you to hold the handle down to flush properly that doesn't work well with kids and this is really an inexpensive fix. Plunging toilets is not considered vacation fun. Overall a nice and convenient house especially for elderly as the beach access is close with a level entry.

“Great Location, Great Porches, Beautifully Decorated Unit to spe” Our family enjoyed our stay at No Wake Zone. The unit is perfectly situation to view the ocean even though it is not an Ocean Front unit. We enjoyed all the well situated decks and porches and don't forget the hot tub. The outside shower was very nice in keeping the sand outside and not in the beautifully decorated unit. My only suggestions would be that the linen that are supplied be better quality. The towels were terrible and we actually had to go and purchase towels. The sheets on the King bed did not fit properly and I spent the week pulling the corners down to keep them from coming off the bed. The upper floor air conditioning needs to be set on low prior to arrival and early everyday to keep the upstairs comfortable in the summer heat. So the unit is perfect but Outer Banks Blue management could have done a better job by : having the unit cleaner before arrival, repairing the french door exciting into the screened porch prior to arrival or at least during the stay, lowering the refrigerator and air conditioner prior to arrival, fixing the lower baths faucet prior to arrival or during the stay. Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to visit the No Wake Zone again next year. Thank you to the owners for sharing a beautiful beach home. The McIntyre Family from Baltimore Maryland.

“Perfect for us!” We loved this house!! There were only 3 of us, myself, my husband and our 2 year old son. The house had everything we needed and was very well-kept, as well as cozy. Felt like home. Walk to the beach was a breeze with the cart to help us out. Loved sitting out on the deck and seeing the views of the sound. I don't have anything bad to say about this home at all. Will absolutely be renting this house again in the future.
