“Shadow Palm 6” My daughters and I really enjoyed our visit to Port Aransas last weekend for our mini "just us girls" vacay. Our accommodations at Shadow Palm 6 were wonderful. Our villa was modern and had a real "beachy" vibe. The space was perfect for the three of us and our small dog. We liked that we were close to the beach, and could return to our villa and take a dip in the pool just steps away. The complex has relatively few villas, and we appreciated the peace and quiet. Although we didn't really cook a meal, we could have in the well appointed kitchen. We hope to return again!

“Great spur of the moment vacation” Oh this was an awesome vacation the room, view ,and amenities were out of this world! The beds were cozy the tub was super huge like a Jacuzzi the view was amazing. The decorating was cute it matched the scenery we LOVED IT. We will be back again and yes I'm referring everyone.

“Relaxing” we found the rental to be in an overall good condition. There was a slight problem with the refrigerator temp upon arrival, but it was addressed in the following days. There was a stain underneath door of fridge(looked like rust or fluid) I would come back to this location if it's available.

“Mrs. Mary Jo Gallagher” We enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms upstairs being accessible only from an outside stair case was a little inconvenient. We loved walking the neighborhood with our dog. What a pretty setting. Thanks for allowing or dog in your home. She loved the fenced in area.

“We'll be back!” Wonderful condo for our family of 6. The cleanest and most relaxing beach front rental we've had in years, including our regular favorites at Sandpiper next door. I believe the other reviews about lacking amenities and such are old, b/c that certainly was not the case here. Golf clap...

“Location not enough” LC6 has one of the better locations in Lost Colony, but that is all it has going for it. Both the interior and exterior had extreme wear, paint peeling and visible mold in the bathroom, and a section of siding pulled up with insulation exposed on the exeterior. We had a minor issue with the dvd player and coffee pot not working, but PAE quickly and professionally provided working replacements. While I would not recommend Lc6, I would recommend them to friends and intend to visit Lost Colony again via PAE.

“Great extended family vacation” We rented this house for a get-together with 3 generations. The kids loved the bunk room. I had brought a fan because of previous reviews that said this room was very hot in the summer. A new window unit has been put in and it was nice and cool even in the middle of July! The queen sized beds in all of the other bedrooms made them perfect for the 4 couples staying. It would have been nicer to have another bathroom for the 13 people staying there, but it was manageable. Note: there is no bathroom on the first level where the bunk room is. The management company graciously provided a new (still in box) pack- n-play for an infant in our party. We loved how close to the beach the house was. We have rented houses in Port A 3 other times and this was the closest access to the beach we have ever had. We loved hanging out in the roomy living area with the open kitchen and dining area. The kids usually ate in different shifts from the adults since there are only 8 seats at the table. There are bar stools where extra people could sit, or just spread out bech towels on the roomy covered porch and let them eat picnic style. The only complaint I would make is the lack of kitchen utensils and pans for a house this size. Fortunately, I had packed some plastic utensils (yuck!) and paper plates and cups just in case. Some large baking sheets and a griddle for bacon or pancakes would be nice additions, along with real silverware. Also, the charcoal grill was inadequate---very small and basic. If you are a party of 4, you'll do just fine. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay there, though. It worked very well for our family.

“Wonderful place to stay” This has been the best place my family has stayed in Port a. We vacation there one to two times a year for an entire week as a family of 10 and as a family of 4. Comfortably fits all. Accommodations are wonderful. Open design, feels like plenty of space. No crowding. Close to the beach (within walking distance), close to the grocery store for stocking up and lots of things to do around the house. Fenced in yard for pets to go out and fenced pool. Our family enjoyed this so much we are going to book it for all our stays in and around Port a. Definitely a 5 star. Management very helpful and always available for any questions you have.

“Great house and location for vacation getaway!” We stayed at this house for the second time in two years. Everything was as advertised and ready for us when we arrived. The house has room for a large group and we esepecially appreciate the large kitchen and family room which allow us to relax when we are not exploring the area. Also, with all the bedrooms and beds, everyone can have some privacy when they need it. Best of all, the beach is just a block or so away; an easy bike ride, or we take the car and pull right up to the beach with no parking lots to worry about. The water is warmer than the California beaches. At night we sometimes build a fire on the beach and enjoy the sound of the waves. Other things we have done in the area include fishing trips, sight seeing to Mustang Island State Park and touring the USS Lexington docked in Corpus Christi. We also discovered the extensive trail system in the nearby preserves where you can take long walks and injoy all the different birds and other wildlife. The center of town is just a few minutes away, so we also enjoyed differend restaurants. There are also a couple good places to buy fresh seafood, which we took back to the house to cook on numerous occasions. We had a great time and plan to go back.
