“Relaxing” we found the rental to be in an overall good condition. There was a slight problem with the refrigerator temp upon arrival, but it was addressed in the following days. There was a stain underneath door of fridge(looked like rust or fluid) I would come back to this location if it's available.

“Mrs. Mary Jo Gallagher” We enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms upstairs being accessible only from an outside stair case was a little inconvenient. We loved walking the neighborhood with our dog. What a pretty setting. Thanks for allowing or dog in your home. She loved the fenced in area.

“Great family time!!” We meet at Mustang Island at least once a year. This house was comfortable and slept our whole family. It was a little hike to the beach but not too bad.

“Had a great time at Portofino” We were pleased with our stay at Portofino. The house was very spacious for the 6 of us. The only thing is the walls are so thin you can hear everything, even when someones phone is on the floor upstairs you could hear it vibrate downstairs. And then we ended up with neighbors that packed a whole community into the house next door & they stayed in the pool playing their music til 1:00 & 2:00 in the morning. That was frustrating because we could hear it all. And the rosemary bush in front of the air conditioning unit needs to be trimmed. It's getting a little out of hand since that's the only way guests can come & go. Those are the only few things that any of us complained about. Over all it was a very pleasant stay & the house was decorated really cute.

“Great spur of the moment vacation” Oh this was an awesome vacation the room, view ,and amenities were out of this world! “Island Star really a star” 707 Park Place was a dream site for our extended family reunion. The house was spacious, clean, cool and/or warm as conditions required. My gourmet wife was happy she brought a lot of her own specialty cooking tools, but the appliances performed well. Access to the beautiful beach was easy - by car or on foot via the private boardwalk. While only the young and the brave dared the coolness of the swimming pool in December it was a welcome addition that was well-maintained by weekly visits of a cleaning pro. The hot tub needs a more consistent thermostat and entry and exit is tough on seniors. For golf addicts like me, the nearness of Newport Dunes and the warm professionalism of it's staff was wonderful. As the family came and went via Corpus Christi airport, which proved reasonably convenient, my wife and I spent a month at Island Star. It was a great month!

“Great extended family vacation” We rented this house for a get-together with 3 generations. The kids loved the bunk room. I had brought a fan because of previous reviews that said this room was very hot in the summer. A new window unit has been put in and it was nice and cool even in the middle of July! The queen sized beds in all of the other bedrooms made them perfect for the 4 couples staying. It would have been nicer to have another bathroom for the 13 people staying there, but it was manageable. Note: there is no bathroom on the first level where the bunk room is. The management company graciously provided a new (still in box) pack- n-play for an infant in our party. We loved how close to the beach the house was. We have rented houses in Port A 3 other times and this was the closest access to the beach we have ever had. We loved hanging out in the roomy living area with the open kitchen and dining area. The kids usually ate in different shifts from the adults since there are only 8 seats at the table. There are bar stools where extra people could sit, or just spread out bech towels on the roomy covered porch and let them eat picnic style. The only complaint I would make is the lack of kitchen utensils and pans for a house this size. Fortunately, I had packed some plastic utensils (yuck!) and paper plates and cups just in case. Some large baking sheets and a griddle for bacon or pancakes would be nice additions, along with real silverware. Also, the charcoal grill was inadequate---very small and basic. If you are a party of 4, you'll do just fine. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay there, though. It worked very well for our family.

“Fisherman House” Nice roomy place, quite residential neighborhood on bay side, lots of parking for your boat, good a/c and hot water. Only negative is that the house is two levels with odd size steps between bedroom and the bath and kitchen, stubbed my toe more than once. Definitely would stay there again.
