“utter relaxation” My family of 5 (3 sons aged 9, 13, 15) spent a week at Casa Dena over Easter. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The caretakers are lovely and fabulous cooks. Steve's flexibility to rent us only 2 bedrooms was really appreciated. The views are fantastic from the back of the house as well as the roof. We were aware that the beach directly in front of the house was not swimmable, so the boys climbed the rocks looking for sea life and iguanas when we were at home, and they swam at other points down the beach. Very secluded and private home which is what we like. Could do with a couple more comfy lounge chairs and/or pillows for outside, but all in all exactly what we needed.

“Perfect stay” This is a very nice place, wonderful garden and skillfully decorated, well equipped, rooms. Very quiet, not directly at the shore line but in walking distance to half moon bay. Dan and David are so helpful with anything you might need. They are very knowledgable about the area and give great tips about what to do.

“Beautiful vacation at Casa de Colores” First off, the home is superb and wonderfully situated at the north end of Half Moon Bay with sweeping views of the water from nearly every room in the house. Great staff and amenities, this home has everything to make your vacation in akumal special and enjoyable. There are a few dining options are within walking distance and everything the town has to offer is only a short bike ride away, however we also loved staying at home to cook on occasion as you can't beat the view! While you can snorkel outside your door in Half Moon Bay, walk to Yal-Ku lagoon, hang out at the main beach in town or take day trips, I think the beauty of Casa De Colores is that you don't feel like you have to leave. Relaxing on the deck or by the pool with a good book is a great way to spend a day. This home would be good for families.

“Everything we wanted on our vacation!” We have stayed in many motels and rentals in the Mayan Riviera over the past 16 years. Casa de los Viajeros is now at the top of our list. We stayed in the one bedroom suite, it was absolutely beautiful, sunny, quiet, clean and nice lite breezes. Located 1 1/2 blocks from the nicest beach and best snorkeling in the area. A short stroll (3 blocks) puts you in the town square with plenty to see and fabulous restaurants. Rob and Jonne are very friendly and can suggest things to do, see or places to dine. “Beautiful Setting, Relaxing Stay” This is our second visit to Tankah Bay and it's pretty hard to beat our first stay. This was definitely comparable. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and perfect for what we wanted. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating for our needs. I recommend taking advantage of their cooking skills, it will add to your relaxing experience and the food was excellent. Everyday you can stroll on the beach, take a swim, snorkel and kayak. Everything is right there, almost no need to leave the property. Within walking distance you have the Manatee Cenote, I highly recommend, just go early because it can get busy. Also, within walking distance, you have two bar/restaurants. My favorite part of the day was relaxing under the palapa, right on water, watching the birds hunt and dive. The beach side of the villa also offers privacy with a patio and lounging areas sheltered by hedges. I'd like to give a special thank-you to the property manager who provided us with fresh eggs from a local farm when the grocery store ran out of them just before Christmas. The Tulum ruins are a must see, as well as the Coba ruins. If you are adventurous, you can climb largest ruin in Coba and get an amazing view of the jungle. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is, but, you'll have to find out for yourselves! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this stunning villa. A much needed escape from the gray and cold of winter.

“Little slice of paradise” Incredible food. Perfect beach. Professional, talented staff. Great house -- comfortable, classy and laid back, all at the same time. Me and a few friends rented the villa for four days in February, and we had not a single complaint. If you are looking for a low key beach vacation, away from crowds and hubbub, this is a wonderful spot to consider. I can't think of a single complaint. Oh, and the view from the SkyLounge -- exceptional.

“Playa Paradise” We spent three weeks in this beautiful, spacious unit, in a perfect location. It is right on the beach, next to Wicky's Beach Club, which has very afordable lunches. We like being on the ground floor because there's usually more outdoor space and it's usually easier to get to the pool and beach. This was truly the case here. The unit had a huge patio and an extra patio one step up from the normal sized one with an abundance of patio furniture - then, only down a few steps to the pool. The kitchen was large and mostly well-stocked, with purified water delivered at checkin and throughout our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and attractive. There was an extra den-like room at the entrance, for extra sleeping or quiet time, if needed. Both baths were good sized, one with a washer/dryer combo. Daily maid service was provived by very friendly staff. There isn't much to improve on in this unit. We did have problems with the phone and internet connection, but we were in Mexico and it did take Telmex a week to get to us. I would only add a few things - a few more pans for cooking, and one more chair in the living room. There was one couch and one chair in the living room of the two bedroom unit which slept 6. Also, which we found strange, there was a curtain which could cover the patio door but nothing to cover the side windows in the living room, kitchen and den, which overlooked a walkway to the pool. There were shades which you could use during the day, but you could see through them at night. We ended up using towels to cover the windows at night. We did have ants in the kitchen, on the counters - possibly because there are plants and lots of dirt next to the kitchen wall. Lots of mosquitos and no-see-ums when we were there.

“Fantastic week in Siesta Key” The townhouse was fantastic and fully equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable week. The location was outstanding - right across from the beach and the free trolley to the Village stopped right outside.
