“Great Italian Experience” Traveling as a group of four, with two couples, we had the best time with Carlo and Julie hosting us at the Olive House at Casa Vialba. Since we don't speak Italian, we really appreciated Carlo's fluency in both English and Italian. Similarly, his integration into the local community and culture allowed him to setup great Italian experiences for us ranging from cooking classes right in Olive House, wild boar hunting with the local hunt club (who were also very friendly and accommodating) horse back riding, truffle hunting, olive oil tour, wine tour, and more. Carlo and Julie even hosted us within their home with great food, wine and conversation. We felt very comfortable there and found our hosts very attentive to all our needs and requests. We had a great time and with Carlo and Julie the very best.

“Brillant holiday experience” We have been back to stay at Casa Julian several times and we are now planning our next holiday here. Jan is always welcoming, the accommodation is always clean, comfortable and well laid out. Clean sheets and towels every week, food welcome package to get us started, wine and fresh eggs for sale. My teenage daughter loves laying by the pool as well as going out and about, and Casa Julian provided the best of both worlds. We have stayed at Casa Julian during the Spring, Autumn and Winter as well as during the Summer and Jan has helped us make the most of every visit. We have been to Christmas church services, enjoyed summer fiestas, loved the architecture in Florence and Pisa, relaxed at a hot baths and spa, eaten more cake and ice cream than we really should. A car is recommended to get out and about but it is less than 10 mins to several local villages all of which are picture perfect. All in all a great holiday destination.

“Wow! What a gem!” Wow! What a gem! As soon as we arrived we knew this would be something special. The accommodation is superb and the setting idyllic. Eight of us stayed at Lavender House and having four teenage girls the luxury of having four bathrooms was bliss! The owners, Julie and Carlo, have the expertise of being on hand when advice and assistance is required but seem to disappear when rest, relaxation and a siesta beckons. We cannot praise Casa Vialba highly enough. We will be back!

“Cozy & welcoming farmhouse retreat in a bucolic setting” You won't be disappointed by this choice. It's a traditional farmhouse structure, so don't expect large, open plan living areas. The stone and timber house that is Casa Tersalle has all the character and basic amenities you need, and it's set in wonderful rolling countryside with lots of opportunities for walks. You may need to be a bit more creative if you've got teenagers in tow. Endless eating may satisfy them, but they might tire of scenic villages unless there's a reward. It's also very well placed for other places of interest by car/bike, so there's no chance of being bored - unless you've chosen completely the wrong sort of holiday in the first place! Rob and Jane are warm and welcoming. I'm sure that's a cliche in their Visitors' Book, but it's true. They showed absolutely no signs of 'Visitor Fatigue' and they're the mine of info you'd expect from long time residents in the area. Organizing our stay was as easy as it could be and communication with them were as smooth and effortless as time differences allow. We went in October, which was ideal and allowed us to pick figs ripe where we found them. We especially enjoyed the local markets, which are conveniently on different days in different places. Winter or full autumn would be a real experience here, furnishing all the excuses you'd need for lighting the fire and wood burning cooker in the kitchen, but summers might be cruel... Finally, make the effort - learn a little Italian. Not much English is spoken in these parts but a few phrases for ordering and exchanging courtesies are the least anyone can do visiting another country.

“Lovely villa in Umbrian countryside” We spent 5 lovely april days in Villa Nina. The house is well placed to explore the many delightful Umbrian towns (but a car is essential) . The owners kept us well informed with emails leading up to the stay and there was plenty of information at the villa to help us make the most of the area. The house was spacious enough for 8 people, tastefully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. The addition of a second shower and toilet was an unexpected bonus. We cooked, drank superb wine and relaxed in front of an open fire. Our two families felt very much at home there and would highly recommend it .

“Uniquely Beautiful” Our party of 9 had a superb week here in august. Luxurious villa in beautiful grounds with stunning views and a superb infinity pool. The house is equipped to the highest standards. Managed by very charming couple with nothing too much trouble. Overlooking a world class golf course managed by friendly relaxed people. A beautiful and unspoilt part of Italy.
