“Girls Weekend” My daughter, granddaughters, and I stayed in the Tuckaway cottage at Kathan Lake Resort /Inn recently. We had a great time. The cottage was really darling and had everything we needed, (we brought our own towels and food, of course). We got there pretty late so we ordered a homemade pizza from the bar. It was excellent!!! The girls tried to take the row boat out, but the wind kept pushing them into the weeds. The lake was quite weedy. That afternoon the wind blew a tree over into a transformer and we lost power for a few hours. But Barb, the owner, was real good about keeping us informed what was going on and an approximate time the power would be back on. The one thing that we did not like was the three good sized spiders in the cottage that we killed. Not fans of spiders! All in all I would recommend the Kathan Lake Resort to anyone.

“Sandos Playacar is Amazing!” My family - me, my husband and two kids - just returned from an amazing week at the Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen. We had such a fantastic time and LOVED Sandos. Everything was great - the food, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment and more! Sandos is a truly beautiful resort - the hacienda was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The food at the al a carte restaurants was especially good, although we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts very much. The staff bent over backwards to help us with everything. The beach section was beautiful with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, beds and hammocks to relax in. A short walk down the beach-2 minutes- brought us to a snorkeling area that was filled with tropical fish. The evening entertainment was top notch! All of our plans were booked through Georgette Flamm who provided detailed information and assistance every step of the way. She provided tons of info about the rooms and the resort, reserved transportation from the airport and gave us other valuable tips about our visit to Sandos. She responded to all of my questions immediately - I really was impressed how easy she made it! I would absolutely recommend Georgette Flamm and Sandos to anyone!!

“Best alternative to Fire Island” My partner and I wanted to try something new, we originally always go to Fire Island and although we will always love that place, I can't express how expensive it is just to go for a weekend with friends not to mention that we can't help but feel stranded in a way (we don't drive) because once the ferry leaves, that's it! You will be staying whether you want to or not. I would have never thought that I would find a house of this size, with amenities such as linens, towels, beach chairs, hot tub, and pool included for such a reasonable price at the Hamptons none the less...I thought it had to be a mistake, I literally had to call to confirm the rates. The owner was very prompt in her responses whether it would be through phone and or email, and she definitely went out of her way to make sure we were properly accommodated as well as gave awesome recommendations to nearby shops and restaurants. I never had such a pleasant and smooth experience. It was a one, two, three transaction and was very pleased with the outcome, will be coming back next year for sure!

“First Class Unit and amenities - Spectacular!” The Unit is part of alamar, a complex with two condo towers, pools (one near the building, one at the beach club), a gym, etc. Bonus - zero time share reps to bother you. About the Unit: Very modern and spacious, the kitchen was well appointed, the barbecue was used frequently, the kids loved the splash pool, and the view did not disappoint. We had everything we needed, from fresh water to beach towels and boogie boards for the kids. The aC did not work in our room, but the owner had installed a portable unit in the meantime and that worked perfectly. We appreciated the attention he put into making sure we were comfortable. Anyways, upon walking in the first time, we were impressed and all smiles when we first toured the unit - it's a very, very cool and comfortable space. About the complex: Extremely well run and very, very safe. We were impressed at how everything was carefully maintained by the friendly ground staff. The Jungle pool was quiet and spectacular. Same for the pool and beach at the beach club. We frequently almost had the place to ourselves, the complex is not very busy during the week, does get a bit busier during the week-ends (beach club) - but it's still far less busy that any resort. No need to reserve lounge chairs, there are always great spots available. La Cruz is a cute, quiet village - it was easy to explore and buy food at the local tiendas or food stands. Great for a genuine local experience. Bucerias is very close by if you want larger stores, and easily accessed by bus, taxi or car. Also, Destiladeras beach is just 5 min. up the road, and is probably on of the best in the entire bay. We even saw whales breaching from there. Overall, we had a top notch stay with our three kids (ages between 6 and 12), and will continue renting units like this instead of visiting resorts. It's much better.

“Wonderful!” An inviting, relaxing, beautiful log cabin. We will definitely stay again!

“In a Word-fabulous!” We spent a wonderful weekend at this mountain lodge in late March. While not inexpensive, the facilities were to-quality and the working fireplace on the back deck--with its beautiful view of the mountains and early morning fog--were spectacular. The hiking was also great fun and easy to access. We will be back. It is essentially in the head of no place, which makes it all the better to feel like you've had a real get-away.

“A Classy Vacation Experience in any Season” My brother, who has problems walking, and I stayed at Sunnybank for a little under a week in the early spring when the Corolla horses are foaling. The layout of the well-appointed, three-storey main building was perfect for our needs: the fabulous view from the top floor living room provided the inspiration for him to walk up the grand stair case, and he could take the elevator when he was having problems walking. (There are two bedrooms with walk-in showers to accommodate people who have a problem walking.) It rained the first two days, which might have been gloomy any where else, but the library of videos, and stashes of games and playing cards gave us the opportunity to connect in ways that we hadn't since we were children. The fabulous cook's kitchen and multiple eating areas can accommodate a wedding party, family reunion, or any get away time one might want. Mine was a working vacation and the office there, which is outfitted with excellent Ethernet and WiFi connections plus a daybed for napping, was a better arrangement than my office at home. Comfort and casual, yet classy ambience abounds at Sunnybank. An excellent find!

“Wonderful time Alex was a pleasure to work with!” Had a great time and any issues we had Alex was on top of everything! We LOVED the beach horse back riding excursion that was offered thru the resort. Our son (3 years old) loved VIP pool the best! Our mattress was super firm and the resort staff worked so hard to resolve our issue. Which was refreshing because lets be honest when you go on vacation issues can arise and it was so refreshing to have a resort staff that really tried to help fix it!

“Awe Inspired!” The cabin was wonderful. The Bison feeding was so much fun ,one of the Alpha males had such an assured look in his eyes it was almost regal. The bison burgers were to die first! While in the hotbed which is really nice BTW, we looked up and the sky looked like God himself filled the entire sky thick with glitter that's how many stars there were.When my dog went out here came the grey mini pony and my dog licked it's nose, I think they wanted to elope....LOL The Mtn Goats & Liamas were fun as well. We couldn't remember the last time we were so relaxed. We love Bison Overlook Lodge & we will be back!

“Lovely, spacious and thoughtfully stocked home” Kelly's Beach Retreat is a fantastic place. Steps from the beach, thoughtfully stocked, and with an inviting open kitchen and dining room. The place gets amazing light and is very relaxing. Glenn was great to work with as well. Our only note is that while the home is wonderful for families--and large ones at that!--parents of toddlers should note that there are a lot of steps that are very attractive to little climbers. Had we thought about it, we would have put a mini gate or something in the car with us.

“Fabulous vacation.” Spent a week at the perfect getaway spot! The condo was beautiful and absolutely spotless, with every convenience you could possibly need. The pool was right outside the door, the beach 2 minutes away,and restaurants and shopping on Fifth avenue just 2 blocks away. We were met at the airport by the hosts and driven to the condo, as well as transported to Tulum and other sites and favorite local places to eat for a considerable savings to us . . . more money left to spend on Fifth avenue! I have recommended Casa Segobiano to three different groups who were also very pleased with their trip.
