“Location, location, location” The very best aspect of this apartment was for sure the location - just a few blocks from Piazza Navona and across the bridge from the Vatican. This is a studio apt and three adults were very comfortable. The bed is actually a murphy bed, but adequate for a short stay. Bathroom is renovated and bright. Apartment was also on a quiet street, so no trouble resting after a full day of touring the sights. I have to add, though, that the kitchen is not very well stocked - just the bare minimum utensils/plates, etc. so plan ahead if you plan to cook. We had some trouble finding the place, and after some negotiating at the tourist kiosk, Olivia arranged for someone to come find us and escort us which was very much appreciated. Enjoy beautiful Rome!

The Spanish Steps Apartment on Via della Mercede - Free Airport Pickup!

“We will return to this perfect apartment!” My husband, mother, sister-in-law and I stayed at the Spanish Steps Apartment on Via della Mercede for 5 nights at the end of October. Our stay here was perfect in every way. The owner, David, was incredibly helpful with the booking process, assisting with logistics, and making recommendations. After long flights from the USA, we greatly appreciated David arranging for a complimentary car service from the airport to the apartment. We were met at the apartment by the manager who helped us settle in quickly, left us with groceries, and oriented us to the city and nearby attractions. She also arranged our transportation back to the airport. The apartment is more spacious than it appears in the pictures, exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. We had everything we needed including access to a laptop, WIFI, and printer. We had plenty of room and privacy for four guests. The location is perfect for getting to all the major sites either by walking or by the nearby taxi stand (public transportation is also close by, we just didn't happen to use it). The neighborhood is safe and charming. A favorite restaurant recommended by David and within walking distance was Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino. David also recommended a company that offers personalized tours with private guides, called Rome and Tuscany Tours. We booked a scooter tour of the city, a walking tour of ancient Rome, and a day trip to Pompeii and Positano, and all were excellent and unforgettable experiences. We really can't say enough about our wonderful experience with The Spanish Steps Apartment on Via della Mercede and our host, David. We look forward to our next trip to Rome and staying again at this lovely apartment.

“Excellent” A super apartment in a very central location. Lovely little streets to discover, and easy walking distance to nearby attractions. Quiet. Clean. Excellent local recommendations to go to for eating/shopping/visiting. Feels like a home. Very spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

“Clean, Great area, and fully renovated. 100% satisfied!” We were welcomed by Giacomo, the owner, he took the time to show us in the map the places we had to see. He even walked us to a nearby restaurant. The place was Super clean, fully equiped with what we needed. Everything is new. It has a nice patio on the back. We felt safe walking in the neighborhood at night time. We'll rent it again next time we visit Rome.

“Perfect apartment in the middle of Rome” My husband and I stayed here during our recent trip to Rome and could not have been happier. The apartment is within walking distance to many of the sites is the city, i.e. Palentine Hill, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. We even walked over the Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori one of the days. There are tons of great restaurants within walking distance as well. This apartment is also right by the Metro, which made it very easy to get to the Vatican and some of the other sites a bit further out. The apartment itself was fantastic. Very modern bathroom and a fully stocked fridge! We loved being able to make ourselves a Nespresso every morning that we sipped while we planned our daily activities. Clara even left us the most delicious blood orange juice, which was a treat for us americans :) The neighborhood is quite lively on the weekends with lots of little bars in the area. The one downfall was the height of the ceiling. My husband and I are both close to 6 feet tall and had to worry about bumping our head on the door frame coming in and out of the apartment. If you are on the shorter side, this place will be perfect for you. However, if you are over 6 feet tall, you may be crouching your entire time in the apartment. Overall, the place was wonderful and we will book it again our next time in Rome.

“Nice Apartment” We stayed at this apartment for 5 days and found it to be exactly as pictured. Our family of four adults were greeted at the airport by the driver that we had arranged through the apartment owner. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The bathrooms were small but adequate. The only thing we had trouble with was the heating units. There weren't any directions on how to use them and we don't have anything like it at home. Rosella came over after we had called and showed us how to use them and after that we were nice and warm. The apartment was within walking distance to the Pantheon and the Vatican and we even hiked all the way back from the Colosseum. We used public transportation to get to the Termini train station which was located right outside the apartment. We only ate breakfast at the apartment so the kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes and utensils. The Pam grocery was right across the street to get food which was very convenient. I would recommend this apartment to any visitor to Rome.

“Excellent choice” During our visit in Rome, we had the pleasure to spend 3 nights at Carla and Massimo rosi apartment at the center of the lovely Trastevere neighborhood. We would like to share our great enjoyment from our stay there. All our expectations were fulfilled and even more. The location, the apartment (spacious and very clean and well equipped). And above all, the welcoming feeling we got from Carla & Massimo that made us feel at home. This was a very comfortable stay for our visit in Rome. I would highly recommend it.

“Made our stay fantastic!” I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Rome. We were met at the apartment by aldo and was shown around. He pointed out tourist sites and which metro or bus to get there. There was a local cell phone there for our use. Mid stay he brought by a nice dessert for us to enjoy. He even set up the taxi service to/from airport. It is on a busy street, but the windows blocked most of the noise and I didn't have any problems sleeping at night. It is in a great location. You can walk to most sights. The metro and bus stops were very close by for the sights that were not within walking distance.
