NOSTROMONDO - LOFT with private terrace -Colosseum

Rome house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Perfect Roman Holiday” We had a perfect "Roman Holiday" this past week for our family of four. We loved the quiet pedestrian street that the apartment was located on. We were in very close walking distance to the St. Maria di Maggiorre where we were able to catch the hop-on-hop-off sight-seeing bus. A really beautiful area of Rome. We were also able to comfortably walk to the Colliseum and Forum area. Loads of restaurants, gellaterias, cafés and shops were just around the corner. The area is safe to walk even at night and clean. The beds were comfortable and everything that we needed was supplied for at the apartment (dish washer, washing machine, hair dryers, beautiful decor, awesome rooftop terrace, jacuzzi tub, great wifi that worked for multiple devices). We are a family of four and the apartment provided a perfect living space for my husband and I with our two children (13 year old daughter and 11 year old son). For a small extra fee we were able to use the pull-out bed for my son so he had his own personal space rather than share a bed with his sister. The arranged transfer to and from the airport worked out perfectly for us (75€ each way was well worth it). Elenora met us in a timely manner and spent 30 minutes with us getting us settled and showing us the details of the apartment. She spoke very good English. We purchased a portable wifi that worked great as we toured. We also purchased a multiple day tour bus pass and the Vatican museum pass through Elenora. The rooftop terrace opens easily by a power switch and really adds an extra charm to the apartment. We loved sitting up there in the evenings amongst the lemon and olive trees as we had our wine and cheese. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again the next time we visit Rome. This company was super easy to work with.

“Close to everything” Located just south of the Vatican, this apartment is close to everything. You can walk to attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. This is a very clean, safe, modern apartment with a caring, helpful host. It was amazing how close all our needs were. Just two minutes to restaurants, shops and pizzarias and within 5 minutes to the supermarket up the street. And a train station at the end of the street. The apartment has everything in it you could need and is tastefully decorated. when we return to Rome, we will stay here again.

NOSTROMONDO - SUITE with private terrace-Colosseum

Rome house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Fabulous!” Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our first trip to Rome. Everything was perfect from start to finish! The staff was helpful during booking process, we had a lot of questions before the stay and our e-mails were answered immediately with professionalism. We also tried the pickup service arranged by them, it's very effective and allowed us to reach the apartment with no worries!! Upon arrival Mary welcomed us with a kind smile and we knew right away we could trust her. She supplied useful info about the apartment and its appliances and gave us many tips about the area, the best restaurants and coffee shops. There is a wonderful grocery just opposite to the metro station where we fully stocked up during one week stay. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay. Staying in the suite allowed us to experience a slice of Roman life that would not have been possible had we stayed in a hotel! Gracie Nostromondo!

NOSTROMONDO - PLACE with roof terrace - Colosseum

Rome house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“EXCELLENCE AND COMFORT!” The Place apartment was excellent. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained and well equipped. The location was ideal, very close to the main attractions and two blocks away to the metro station Cavour, if you want to move by public transports. The service from Marida was superb: she spent a lot of time to introduce us into the apartment, providing useful info about the amenities provided. We directly purchased by her the Tickets for the guided tour for the Vatican Museums and Sistine chapel. She also proposed us the open bus city sightseeing, to move around the city by comfortably sitting on a double deck bus. Stunning views and relaxed tour. We would certainly recommend both the company Nostromondo eager to help you anytime and the magnificent apartment Ciancaleoni Place.

“Superior location and very comfortable accomodation with fast WiFi” Boschetto Cove was an excellent apt within a few blocks of Colosseum, Palantine hill, Roman forum, et., al. The clothes washer came in handy after a few days stay and worked well. The bed was very comfortable and provided a good nights rest. Marida the owner is a gem and ready to answer all your questions.

Campo dei Fiori Hi Tech Terrace, modern and quiet.

Rome house

“Modern apartment/great location” The apartment was modern, clean, very well lit and fabulously located. We were able to walk everywhere and enjoyed many good restaurants in the area as well. Francesco was a gracious and accommodating landlord who had information in the apartment for restaurants, sight seeing, maps and almost anything else you would want. We very much enjoyed our one month stay in Rome at this comfortable and well-appointed apartment.

Colosseo - Rome: Apartment in excellent location

Rome house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Amazing Location” The apartment is literally down the street from the Colosseum. You see it at the end of the street to your left as you exit the building. Antonella was wonderful to deal with. She was always quick to respond and was very helpful. She was there at the apartment at the time that we had agreed on and gave us a quick run through of everything, The apartment has all you could want for your stay. A lovely well stocked kitchen, a good sized bedroom and bathroom and a nice sitting room. The apartment gets lots of light and looks over a beautiful court yard. Another amazing feature about this place is it is quiet! You are in the middle of all of the action yet the apartment is very peaceful. The only set back was the bed was small. It is about 4 feet across and the equivalent of a twin size bed in Canada so it was a squeeze for my six foot husband and I. The bathroom is really nice and the whole apartment had been freshly painted before we arrived with a new security door put in place. We felt more than safe leaving our valuables in the room as we explored Rome for the day. It is about 15 min walk away from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. About 30 min walk from the Vatican and the Castle. The Colosseum and the Roman forum are at your door step. Great place and Great location!

DOMUS TRASTEVERE Apartament

Rome house

3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Fantastic week in Rome” On arrival Patricia gives you a warm welcome and shows you around the flat. If you are meeting her for the keys then a cafe below is a good pit stop for a quick coffee until she arrives in a few minutes of calling her. Her personal recommendations decent eating places are very useful. The bedrooms are very spacious and the air conditioning is great and made all the difference after a hot day walking around Rome. The living area is very small but comfy and the kitchen has all you need to make breakfast and a bowl of pasta in the evening. The flat is clean and accessible on the 6th floor by lift. The bathroom is fine for a quick wash and freshen up before making your way into Rome. The tram is very convenient and cheap although if there are 4 of you a taxi may be as cost effective and convenient. There is a supermarket at the railway station only a few mins walk and a larger supermarket up the road. We stayed for a week and would definitinely recommend this apartment for a weeks holiday.

My Sweet Home -Colosseum by Bruno

Rome house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Great base in Rome, great host as well” The location probably isn't the most fashionable in Rome but it's what I'd refer to as "the real Rome"; the sort of place that ordinary people can be found living in, and which therefore gives you a taste (if far too briefly) of being a Roman resident. It's very convenient too; there is a taxi rank at the end of the street and it's only a couple of blocks to two metro stations (San Giovanni being the closer of the two) as well as a tram route. I had been warned that the area around Roma Termini can be a bit questionable at times, but at no time did I feel unsafe around there. The apartment is on the ground floor so there's no real issue with baggage. We had originally booked the place for three nights from Saturday to Monday night. However on Saturday Bruno contacted us and advised us that there was a problem with the plumbing. He offered to put us up for the first night in another place of his in Trastevere, However we still had one night left on a package tour that we were on, so I elected to stay at our existing hotel for that night rather than shift our luggage two days in a row. The key point here is not that there was a problem (that happens) but that he had an solution to it. On the Sunday he picked us all up from our hotel in his mini van and dropped us at the apartment. (Which is a service that I wasn't expecting. He dropped us and our bags at Roma Termini on the morning that we departed as well.) Indeed on arrival he offered to drop us over in Trastevere, which I half wish we'd taken him up on now since while Trastevere was on my list, we never did make it over there. However everyone was tired from spending many hours exploring the Vatican that morning so we declined. Again, though, this is more than you would expect in the way of service from a host. The plumbing issue was still an issue while we were there; one of the toilets didn't work properly but as there were three bedrooms/ toilets and we were only two couples that was not a problem for us. There's no living room as such; the only communal area is a combined kitchen and dining room. (Televisions are in the bedrooms.) However we spent very little time there aside from sleeping so we didn't find that to be a problem. The air conditioner seemed a bit noisy in the room with the two single beds but was fine in the other two. There are separate remote controls for all of them. The dinnerware and facilities for the kitchen were comprehensive, if a bit eclectic. But certainly there is all you need for a few days' stay. I hate to admit that I really don't remember that much about the beds... but that obviously means that I found them entirely satisfactory. A concern that one of our party had - and I doubt that it's specific to this place - is that you need to get both in AND out using the key. It makes you very secure but may be a problem in the event of an emergency. Also we had only one key so it was difficult to go out without having the others there and awake to let you back in. (I like to do early morning photo shoots.) When we arrived on the Sunday we asked Bruno whether there were any cafes or restaurants nearby and he assured us that there were quite a few... which is true but most of them are closed on Sunday. There's a small corner cafe near Manzoni station which is worth going to for a light meal on Sunday, otherwise hop the metro into the centre of the city. Bruno is a wealth of information about some of the restaurants in the area, so best to have something to take notes with when you meet him. The place does have Wi Fi which was a little bit intermittent on some devices (I had no problems with it, but didn't use it that much), though it has a password that is so long that it feels like you're entering an Enigma code. Make sure that you have your device set to "Remember Password" because you don't want to re-enter that one. (This is a very minor issue.) All in all, my sole regret about this place was the short time that we had there. I would have loved to have been able to spend a week exploring the city from here, had we had the time. It's probably overkill for two people, but for 3 to 6 it's in my opinion a great place to base yourself in Rome if you don't need the cost and services of a full hotel.

“Great apartment is best part of central Rome” A group of 5 of us spent 6 great nights in this apartment. The location of it is fantastic. It sits on Via dei Coronari which is a gorgeous street with a great, inner city, village vibe and is within easy walking distance of all the major attractions of Rome. There is no lift to the top floor where is it located (6th floor, I think), but it's position on the top floor meant that it really felt like a space to get away from the noise of the city. The landlord is very friendly and speaks English. He attentively fixed a leaking water pipe in the bathroom within 24 hours. Wou,d happily stay here again.
