“Beautiful, peaceful holiday destination with the warmest welcome” We recently enjoyed a lovely relaxing week at Casa Lucia. It is a very pretty apartment with pitched pine roofs, it's spacious with a well fitted bathroom and kitchen and the beds are very comfy with high quality linen. The high speed wifi is a bonus, there are web cams around the island so you can check the weather as it varies a lot! The views from the windows are amazing, beaten only by watching the sunset from the terrace. The sun loungers are the comfiest I've ever used! The owners' own gardens are very well maintained and Hazel and Rob are very self sufficient, with guests welcome to try some of the produce - the eggs and marmalade are a must along with the figs! The apartment is walking distance from Puntagorda centre with a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We hired a car and took in the amazing scenery a bit further afield including the Roque, the beach at Tazacorte, Los Llanos which is a very pretty town with boutiques and a lovely square. We tried a few local restaurants which were very good and Hazel and Rob are more than happy to make suggestions. The local market is nice to experience followed by a walk home through the pine forests. If you are into walking and hiking this would be a particularly beautiful part of the island to visit. We found this to be lovely peaceful hideaway and a good base to go out and see things too. Would highly recommend Casa Lucia if you are looking for something a little different and enjoy seeing the local life, it is not a touristy island and all the better for it! Your hosts will do all they can to make sure you have the perfect holiday!
