“A wonderful place to build memories” My wife and I recently stayed at the Crown Point beach house with our sons and their families. Spending this special time with our boys and the grand kids was enhanced by this beach house, which came completely equipped with more than we expected. Yvonne and Eric went above and beyond with their generousity. Would I recommend this beach house? Absolutely.

“This home was just perfect!” Casa Paloma was so charming and cozy, yet fully updated, and met our family's needs perfectly. The location was great, too. It is very nicely "tucked away" in a nice neighborhood with parking right in front (quite the amenity considering many places we visited!), but never took longer than about 20-30 minutes in any direction to see all the sights we wanted, and really check out San Diego and the surrounding area. We were so grateful to have everything we needed to just relax and enjoy ourselves. The kitchen is fully stocked, so prepping and cooking all our breakfasts before heading out each day was easy. All we had to do was bring the food, which was also a cinch, because there's a grocery store right up the road! We went to several beaches, and it was really convenient to have all the beach gear there for us to use! Also, having a washer & dryer in the home (with laundry soap & softener supplied for us!) ended up coming in quite handy a couple of times. Truly, this place has that home-away-from-home feel, and we can't wait to come visit again soon!

“Amazing, awesome!” Melanie was very pleasant to work with. The house was very comfortable with 3 adults and two teens. Views are amazing..It was better than staying at a 4 star hotel.. Nice area and centrally located..we skipped some things we had planned to do to just relax and take advantage of the views and comforts of the home. Would go back in a heartbeat..

“Great location and great patio” I used to live in LJ and was looking for a centrally located vacation rental to come back and visit and this was perfect! Great location- we walked everywhere!!! The patio is great and gets a nice breeze- we were cool in July! Plenty of furniture and a table for dinner outside. The property is older but charming, the living room furniture is very comfortable and newer, and the whole place is very very clean. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. There is parking for 1 car in the private driveway and our friends always managed to find street parking easily. The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, coffee pot, and a microwave as well as basic dishes. Great for couples and adults but not really small children due to the stairs and no full fridge (storage of milk). I would happily recommend this rental!

“Words and Pictures alone cannot descibe the place, Absolutely Amazing!” You just have to experience it for yourself! Pete was an awesome host, just a phone call away for anything we needed. Traveled with our 10 year old grandson, loved the heated pool. You could not ask for a better location, just minutes from Downtown, Beaches, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Airport. No traffic, quiet, safe and relaxing. This is the first time I have been on a vacation where I was NOT ready to come home.

“Very nice home with a great view!” This property is situated in a nice quiet neighborhood in La Jolla, on a ridge, with great city views. The home has everything you need to have a great stay. We had 11 adults and 1 child in our group, and fit very comfortably here. The property is well maintained and clean. There are plenty of entertainment options in the home. It has a nice heated pool, hot-tub, bbq grill, fire pit, free wifi, game room with foosball and pool table, and multiple flat panel TV's with Netflix. The main living area has a large leather sectional, big screen tv, and a huge table that seats at least 12 people. The home also has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The bedding in all the bedrooms was nice quality. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and cookware. The property also has good parking. Two or 3 cars can fit in the driveway, and there is plenty of room on the street out front. (Our group had two full size trucks, a SUV, and two mid size cars). Area attractions were only a few minutes drive from the house, including many great beaches and eateries! If you are going to stay in the San Diego / La Jolla area, this is a nice place to stay. Laura, the owner, is very nice, and responsive.

“Girls retreat during Susan Komen 3-day” We all had a wonderful stay at the Victorian guest house on 2220 Market st. The beds were so comfortable. The house exactly clean and what we expected and needed for our stay in San Diego. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We walked the susan g komen 3-day 60 mile breast cancer walk and were happy to have a home to stay in before and after the walk.

“Stunning Residence” The Wood House was the perfect accommodation for our family reunion. The kids LOVED the proximity to the beach and we LOVED being able to walk everywhere easily & let them run around the beach so their boundless energy was expended and the adults were able to have a nice quiet evening enjoying the amenities in the home. Since we are sharing cars, I was pleasantly surprised at how close the beach are to the home. The unique shower heads, whirlpool bath, tempurpedic mattresses and the "Perfect Chair" recliner specifically designed to alleviate back pain have been heavenly for our guests with chronic pain. The Apple TV and Netflix access with the large swivel arm TV has been extremely useful in entertaining the large family with all my nieces and nephews. It has also provided an easy way for us to all use our iPhones and iPads to share our family photos and movies with each other. The kitchen is large and is well stocked with any appliances needed to cook for a large family. The kitchen window has a nice ocean view which we enjoyed while cooking & loading the dishwasher. The dining and family room as well as the two front bedrooms enjoy that same ocean view. We loved the open floor plan connecting the dining room and living room area. The floor to ceiling glass in the living room looking out to the tranquil large patio gave our large family plenty of room to dine and mingle. We especially enjoyed walking up the hill to the upper deck with a view of all of La Jolla. Since I grew up in the San Diego area and our family is currently scattered across the US, this will now be our location to have reunions.

“Great place in a walkable neighborhood” The location in the South Park neighborhood is handy for easy walking to many good restaurants and shops. The place itself is simple, clean and comfortable, without stinting. From the French press coffeemaker (an automatic drip maker was provided, too) to the hair dryer to the private courtyard with the trumpet tree, citrus trees, cactus and more, the environment was just what we had hoped: Relaxing. On-street parking was always easily available right there. The owners were helpful but not intrusive. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who asked.

“Great location, attentive owners” Ruth was very available, kind, quick to respond and helpful. She left us wine and coffee and welcomed us more than the average host. Highly recommend! There are 2 main beds in rooms but the other ones are a small bed with a trundle pullout that is really best for kids, not quite adults. Thank you so much Ruth, we'd definitely come back.

“Close to everything, very modern and clean!” We very much enjoyed our week in San Diego staying in this rental - it was modern, well-appointed and clean, we would definitely recommend it! It is very centrally located which means its never more than 20 minutes to get to any of the major attractions like Seaworld, Balboa Park, the Zoo or downtown SD. In particular, it is very close to the Middletown trolley station which we used extensively. One thing to note is that the rental does overlook the runway of the nearby airport but the sound insulation is good and of course the aircraft stop at about 10-11pm at night. Both the owner and the guest relations manager were easily contactable and very quick to help with the minor issues we encountered. We would definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego!

“Superb Bird Rock house - a perfect home from home in an amazing” Casa abalone is a real jewel. Whilst the pictures are great they really don't do it justice. We we blown away by the sheer size of the property and the light it captures. It's in a great location with an ocean view from the front porch (great for that evening beer!) a spacious open plan living area which meant our kids could play easily and safely and two well appointed bedrooms and a third bedroom/study all with loads of storage. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'd want (not that we did much on the cooking front with restaurants everywhere!) Two great showers and a bath that could double as a swimming pool if it were cold outside (ok, it's big but not that big!). cable TV, good wifi, A nice little garden, a garage complete with two bikes, buckets, spades and boogie boards and parking front and rear make for a genuinely perfect place to stay and explore the local area. Easy driving to all the attractions big and small and good beaches minutes away. Casa abalone - look forward to seeing you again!!!
