“Fabulous pocket paradise” We spent Christmas and New Year at The Petals. It has such a lovely atmosphere, tucked away amongst the rice paddies, a perfect retreat from the bustle of Galle, and right by the beach - easily reached by tuk tuk. The gardens are beautiful and full of birds. We spent evenings eating Upul's delicious curries (far better than any we ate anywhere else), as fireflies floated over the garden, and afternoons by the pool, to which kingfishers were regular visitors. Linda was delightful to deal with and gave us lots of recommendations. We spent a great morning cycling through the surrounding fields and villages, seeing local life. A completely enchanting, delightful spot.

“Extremely beautiful place” I can safely say that this is without doubt the most incredible villa my hubby and I have stayed in. The villa is extremely beautiful,The cleanliness and attention to detail would rival hotels which are ten times the price. The villa is very spacious with lush vegetation all around. It's at an ideal location as it's very close to the airport and Victoria city and the famous Eden island which has really nice restaurants and pubs. The owners were excellent host and always willing to help. I have never stayed anywhere which I cannot fault in some way or another and I am not an easy person to please on the whole! Mountain View Palm Villa is paradise and thank you for making our stay such a happy one.

“Wonderful Place” I really enjoy Carpe Diem cottage. So peaceful, colorful, and kept very clean! Having a kitchen is a very good feature as well. Prakash, the manager, is very attentive and helpful in every way. I totally recommend this place as the best place to stay while in Munnar!

“Fantastic holiday in an incredible Villa” Spent 1 week in this lovely villa. The host are great, the location is ideal and the villa is really a find in seychelles. It is a beautiful villa with lovely room and a fully equipped kitchen. beautiful private garden as well.

“A dream at the ocean” Arriving at the Villa (southpointvilla.com) the staff will greet you with a refreshing cloth and a delicous icecold drink. After passing the pool and a beautiful covered resting area you use a lightly curved bridge over a coy pond to enter the Villa. This Villa is located within a big garden, adjacent to a swimming pool, a grassy area, flowers and literally steps away from a beautiful, clean and quiet sandy beach for swimming and walking. Opposite the Villa, a coral reef invites you to snorkel and observe colorful fish. Lounge chairs and fresh towls are always provided. 3 bedrooms (TV, fans, AC) four-poster-beds, mosquito-nets, antique furniture, modern bathrooms - beautiful sink areas - always hot water - , fresh towls, shampoo and bathgels. One has a pool-garden-view, two have a garden/ocean-view and access to the deck. Inside and outside covered sitting-areas - including dining - w/ garden-ocean view. Staff is magnificent: they can arrange for everything (rental car, bicycles, boats, fishing, tours etc.) Laundry can be taken care of. Chef and his crew outstanding: the whole time such delicacies were created, that we never even got the idea of going out to eat somewhere else. Excursions: two National Parks "Uda Walawe" and "Yala" are not too far, teaplantations, Galle with its beautiful Fort and shopping in the city, a lake, other beaches and bays are nearby --- no nightlife.

“Stunning, you are left wanting for nothing except more of the sa” A fabulous week, just what we needed. A great team looked after our every need. We especially enjoyed paddling down the lake for dinner, to be the only guests at the restaurant, and then paddling back. Stunning home away from home, allowing quality family time. “Perfect for the family” We arrived reasonably late, Herriot kindly arranged for our pick-up & drop-off. Check-in was breezy! It was bigger than we expected (which is never an issue!) 3 bedrooms and a living room with the pool & a bit of a garden separating them. We were a family of 6 adults and 1 toddler, this villa was a great size for us, in fact it can easily accommodate a slightly bigger group. Having the pool just right at our door step was a bonus especially after being out on a humid day. For families with wandering toddler, be mindful of the pool being just there. We didn't have any issues with Eian who is 2.7 years. We explained the pool rules to him so every time he wanted to swim he would announce it rather loudly :-). The courtyard is such a great place to chill, we spent quite a bit of time by the pool chatting and reading. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable - with plenty of towels to last us for weeks. Our room had a slight damp smell to it probably due to it not being used for a while, 2 other rooms and living room was fine. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking and there's also washing machine, tv etc - it was just like staying in a house. Some of the kitchen utensils needed to be washed before we used it due to grease but that was easily sorted. They cleaned the pool once when we were there and the garden was well kept too. There's always someone at the office to help with tours/car rental ( even on Sundays). We rented a car on our last day there with the help of the office and also hired a driver. Pisit was warm and very patient with our 'wants', even waited when we shopped at Tesco! and when he couldn't accommodate to our requests he would always find an alternative driver for us. The location of the villa is convenient as it is fairly central, it depends on what the group wants to do of course. It's about 40 mins to even the furthest part of Phuket. The next time we travel in a group to Phuket - we would definitely look into renting Jah Villa again!!
