“Cottage holiday in ravenglass” The position of the cottage for exploring the South West area of the lake district is perfect. The accommodation on a working farm had everything you could wish for and was clean and spacious, with a lovely view towards the mountains. The only thing lacking was an outside area to sit and enjoy a barbecue with the lovely view. The owners were friendly and helpful.

“Ideal location for Keswick town centre with dedicated off road p” Large enough for two people, ample heating & hot water. On the down side only 2 pans for cooking both of which were left dirty by the previous occupiers. The non stick frying pan was unusable due to the non stick coating flaking off. However there is plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils etc for normal day to day use. Did not like the fact that the fitted fire detectors were covered in plastic bags. A notice said they could be activated by steam from the shower or if the rooms were too hot. This could pose a safety issue which I believe requires solving. Additional smoke alarms have been fitted. Would consider using again if the above were rectified.

“Outstanding” Beautiful house, quirky and full of character but also really well equipped. Excellent kitchen with two ovens, baking equipment and great cookware. Large living areas with big comfy sofas. Good Wifi, didnt slow down even with 9 people attacking it at once. No signal in some bedrooms but strong downstairs and in rooms directly above the living room. Bedrooms comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water and powerful showers. For atmosphere there are open fires in living room, dining room and kitchen. Worst bit was the rain - but it gave us an excuse to settle down and play games.

“Cosy & comfortable” This cottage is located on a quiet street within a 10 minute level, easy stroll from the centre of Keswick. Our party consisted of 2 couples, so the 3rd (single) bedroom wasn't used. On first entering the cottage, we were all surprised at how roomy it is, especially the kitchen. The patio outside the back door is very small (only a tiny table and 2 chairs) but as we stayed in chilly March, this wasn't a problem. There is a large bathroom, with a bath, separate shower enclosure, wc, bidet & basin. The double bedrooms are bright, with plenty of drawers and hanging space. The largest bed has a firm mattress, which I found very comfortable, but my daughter thought the other double was a bit on the soft side. The large cupboards on the landing were great for storing our suitcases. Parking is on the street, but we always managed to get parked within a few feet of the door. Our only gripe was the lack of instructions for the cooker, but we managed to figure it out. We had a very enjoyable week in the cottage, and would certainly consider it again for a winter break.

“Excellent cottage and great location” Stayed at Skiddaw for one week at the end of May 2014, the cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The plum bread and chocolate awaiting us on arrival was a nice touch. The grounds and views of the surrounding countryside at Southwaite Green are beautiful and it was ideal for the dogs. We have stayed in many cottages in the Lake District and this is definitely one of the best and hopefully we will return.

“Memorable visit” Esther's Barn was immaculately clean and comfortable . Bedrooms and en-suites were spacious with bang up to date fixtures and fittings. Underfloor heating ensured cosy toes on the frosty mornings. The cottage and its surrounding development was well worthy of its five star rating. The cottage has stunning views and there are walks on the doorstep. Outside, the development has been the subject of a massive tree planting scheme and has other interesting features including a wildlife pond and raised beds. The coast, Munster Castle and National Trust property ie. Wordsworth House and Carlise Castle are all in striking distance and worthy of a visit. We will certainly return.

“our holiday” Great service given by agency, just an idea to you to offer two sets of keys at the start of the holiday. The house was great lots of room, lovely kitchen, and bathrooms would stay again and a big thank you for letting the dog's stay. My only issues were, The heating was set not to my likeing and I had no control of when to have it on or off. The radiator in the shower room on the middle floor never came on and the bathroom was freezing. I was cold most of the time. We had no table out side as advitised on your advert as some of my party smoked . I also spent over £18.00 on fire wood kindell and fire lighters and never did manage to get the fire properly going no instructions.finally no mop or bucket or brush to clean.
