“An ideal family property for the festive season” Im sure we have already submitted a review but again we found the property had everything we needed for an extended family stay.The standard of accomadation was first class and the owners couldnt have been more helpful.We have paid much more for properties that dont come anywhere near this standard and would certainly stay there again.

“charming cottage linked to farmhouse in restful, rural location.” We enjoyed the location, convenient for exploring the region - surrounded by fields but, being joined to the owner's farmhouse, it did not feel isolated. The cottage faced a concrete yard, field and barns (rustic - not chocolate box so could do with 'softening' a bit for holiday purposes - grassy garden behind (didn't use this so don't know if it would have suited families). The cottage was charming and larger than expected. We took advantage of a slight discount but on arrival realised it was probably given as the adjacent barn was being converted into a cottage - it would not have deterred us but would have appreciated knowing that in advance. As we were using the cottage as a base for exploring the region it didn't inconvenience us but may have done if we were planning just a quiet retreat. We would be happy to go back again.

“Pet friendly and peaceful.” A delightful, cosy cottage ideal for a peaceful break. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome. Situated on a farm, there were lots of places to walk and a very good pub serving excellent food was within walking distance. The addition of coal and other fire making materials made the cottage warm and cosy once the night set in. The Dales are only a short drive away along with quaint market towns that have quirky shops and lots of cafes.

“Cosy cottage in a tranquil location” We had a very warm reception from Jill, the owner, on the day we arrived. She also gave us a welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits. The kitchen was well-equiped and clean. The standard of cleanliness in the whole house was very good. The decor of the house was very pleasing and the beds were comfortable. The house is set in a peaceful location but is not too remote. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and an enjoyable holiday in this part of the country.

“Absolutely 5 star this place is a Gem including the Owners” We had a great time at this Cottage, its peaceful and very clean, the owners are really nice, the cycling is good, the cottage has its own garden, summerhouse, BBQ, parking, somewhere to store bikes and inside there is everything you need,in fact we think this place is 5star,Its a Real Gem.

“We enjoyed a lovely week” Small but beautifully formed. This cottage is perfect for two people to enjoy a wonderful holiday in fabulous surroundings. The owner Ken could not have been more helpful, everything worked and we relaxed completely. The walking is great both from the door and from a short drive away. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

“An all round first class house and location.” Indoor facilities first class. Bags of space without ten of us "living on top of each other" Good pub doing huge meals at good prices only walking distance away. The week we were at Ipstones was not good but the log fire with no restrictions on use of logs was a first class bonus. No shortage of facilities in the catering - loads of cooking utensils and glasses etc. All ion all a very pleasurable and memorable stay.

“Cosy Cottage” Cosy cottage with a friendly welcome. Good location for alton Towers, approx 20 mins drive away. The Stepping Stones Pub, located next to the nearby Travelodge does lovely meals at very reasonable prices. Six people in our party, two sharing the futon in the lounge.
