“A mavellous place to saty in the heart of Colombo” This was the first time we had stayed at the Hedges Court apartment in Colombo and it was so comforting to have stayed at this beautiful apartment as it made our holiday more special. My wife, our two and half year old son and I stayed for approximately two weeks and did not regret once we had chosen to stay there. From the first correspondence from australia to Sri Lanka with the owner to the final departure it was quite easy and prompt making things comfortable for us in terms of confidence in the booking and honesty. The apartment itself was extremely nice with modern amenities, fittings and layout which suited our needs especially with the child. As for food and groceries, there were many places within easy walking distance from which you could purchase simple things such as milk, bread, fruits, veges, snacks, rolls, nappies, medicines etc.. The security guards and caretakers for the block were extremely courteous and obliging which also added to the pleasantness of our stay. We absolutely would love to stay at this place again when we visit Colombo and would recommend to anyone the same. Thank you Piyasiri for making our holiday comfortable and special.

“What a find - Amazing villa” Having been to Sri Lanka many times we were just amazed when we arrived. Set in beautiful secure grounds with a tennis court and beautiful pool the villa was more than we could imagine. It is huge so for 4 adults and 2 kids ample room. Pushpa the cook provided us with amazing Sri Lankan cuisine and could not do enough for us. Mr T was lovely offering us advice on any given thing. We had our own vehicle but used the driver to direct us to local temples, elephant rides, food markets. The kids loved playing outside and stroking Nangi the dog. When they were exhausted they could relax watching satellite tv with kids shows in the upstairs lounge room. The photos here show you a fraction of the villa there is much more to it. “"At home" In Polhena” Our family is spread across the globe, separated by time and space. Twice a year we all need to be together. The house in Polhena was perfect for our reunion. We loved the outdoor living and dining "rooms" in a gorgeous and very spacious garden setting, surrounded by green, and with the rhythm of the pounding surf as background music. We love to cook, and even though the indoor kitchen is very spacious, we moved the gas stove into the "outdoor kitchen" and even did our meal preparation outdoors. There were six of us, and the young people had the three bedrooms in the house, very comfortable, each with its own bath and door to the garden outside. My wife and I stayed in the "little house" in the corner of the garden, with its own bath, kitchen and terrace. It has a very large bedroom with an extra bed in it. The entire villa could easily support two families, 10 persons, or 4 couples. There is no air conditioning, but the fact is, we spent most of our time outdoors except for sleeping. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and at the end of December, that was just fine. The house is on the sea, at the end of a dirt road, no other development around it, so it was very isolated and very quiet. We took tuk-tuks into town to do our grocery shopping, and to the fish market every morning for fresh fish, squid, shrimp, and lobster. Everything we needed was available in town. Spectacular beaches like Mirissa and Talalla are also within tuk-tuk distance and we enjoyed those on most days. We were able to rent a van and driver to go farther afield to explore the country, Galle, for example. If you are expecting a five star resort, this is not it. No one brings you breakfast or washes your dishes. But, if you are looking for a home away from home, an exotic setting, a house with character and charm where you can spend time with family or friends without disturbances of any kind, this is for you!
