“Great Base For The Lakes” The property is only small,but was a great base camp for a week away with only a short walk or drive to most places.It has all modern ammenities but does not have an open fire. Very clean and very well presented would definately return for a future visit.

“Cottage for Two” The cottage was very comfortable. The little extras ie flowers, wine, bread, milk etc provided by the owners made it even more welcoming. We had a very enjoyable week despite the ever changing weather. We would go again.

“Tranquil haven” A friendly, welcoming, but inobtrusive couple. The cottage is very well supplied with good quality furnishings, everything you need to feel at home is here. Warm, and homely, the master bedroom is all you would hope for in a high quality hotel. With the icing on the cake being the unspoilt views over rolling hills, the cattle, sheep and fowl as your neighbours. Ideally located for both the Lakes and Dales. I will certainly recommend Tethera, and it's accompanying cottages, and plan to return.

“A real little gem!” What a delightful little cottage, with absolutely all the amenities one could wish for, plus a host and hostess who couldn't do enough for us. The welcome cake and drinks were the icing on the cake. Location was fantastic, with so many activities and attractions within minutes of the cottage. Even the trip up to Beatrix Potter's home was not a long drive. Very happy to recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice little bolt hole".

“everything you could want in a holiday.” we enjoyed the whole experience. good pub up the road. lots of places to visit. plenty of room in the cottage. facilities inside the cottage were excellent. good for disabled as its all on one level. the only downside was that we would have liked a little bit more outside space, as we had two dogs with us.

“Peaceful, comfortable and well-located.” The staff were friendly and helpful from the very start. We loved our log cabin, which was very spacious and had a lovely view from the porch. Bird feeders attracted a wonderful assortment of birds, to watch as we sat outside. We had our puppy, Lucille, with us and the balcony was great for her. There were other dog lovers there, which was fun. We used the pool, the takeaway, the shop and the bar: all good. Too wet to use the tennis or football outdoor facilities, but good to know they were there. It was a good place to explore The Lakes from and we travelled each day. Saw a fabulous production of "Great Expectations" at the Theatre on the Lake in Keswick. Explored the visitors' centre at Brokole, which is almost next door and had many things to do.

“Quant Little Chalet” It is a quaint little chalet right next to the beach. Fantastic views across the Bay of Morcombe. The windows in the chalet are south facing to lounge gets quiet warm in the day time. Decor in chalet is very nice good facilities. Free WiFi Bedrooms a little small but adequate. Beds very comfortable. Nice bedding. Electric storage heaters and a log burner heating was more than efficient. Lovely garden area to sit out in with ample of out side seating. Drive way into property is a little tight. Lane down to the property is very narrow. Good access to the South Lakes area few miles from Barrow in Furness and Ulverston. Really enjoyed my stay would defo like to use again. Owners leave you to get on and don't bother you, but any problems a phone call and they would do every effort to solve any issues.
