“Wonderful apartment” We spent a week at alba D'Oro in Venice, and we enjoyed the whole experience. The location, very close to the Rialto Mercato vaporetto stop, is perfect for walking everywhere. The apartment is beautiful and overlooks the Grand Canal. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of storage space. The kitchen is great, and we made a number of meals using the Rialto market to supply us. Truly Venice was very easy to work with. Both deposit and final payment could be made by credit card. They also have a complete book of instructions located in apartment. Every rental agency should do this. It can be very difficult to remember how to operate the washing machine after getting verbal instructions days earlier! The book also includes sightseeing suggestions as well as recommended restaurants. This is our "return to" apartment in Venice!

“Calm, comfortable and elegant” I didn't think such a beautiful garden view was possible in Venice. The apartment is comfortable and elegant and the detail backs this up, from the original artwork to the quality of the plentiful crockery and glassware. Giulia's recommendations for eating and shopping locally helped us settle in quickly (thank you especially for Tonolo!) and we would never have managed to arrange for a water taxi to collect us from the steps outside our apartment without her. This is a very special place.

“Grogeous Space” I brought my family in for a week to Contarini and it exceeded every expectation! What a gorgeous and inspiring space to spend time! We will be back. lisa

“What a great place!” We finished our last Europe holiday with a week in Venice and booked, what turned out to be, this lovely and centrally located apartment direct on the Grand Canal. It had all the mod cons one would need to make a stay comfortable and easy. Having access to the wonderful gardens was also a plus. Having them housekeeper living on the premises was also advantageous. Watching the passing parade of ferries, gondolas, water taxis and barges from the front lounge room was quite interesting. The bedroom, in the centre of the unit, had a good bed but needed to have better airflow. The only drawback was the occasional early morning clatter of barges negotiating the entrance to the small canal a few metered away. Dorsoduro is a nice, quite 'suburban' locality with terrific, little and inexpensive restaurants, all within easy reach of the unit. We would certainly consider staying here again.

“lovely Venice apartment” The staff at Truly Venice were professional and very helpful during our stay. Bragora was an ideally located and comfortable home for our small family.

“Comfort, quiet and a spectacular view across the Guidecca canal.” The Palladio garden was just what we needed in Venice. We were attending the Biennale but had teenagers with us, so we needed somewhere a short hop to the Giardini, but with a relaxing lounge and comfortable beds so girls and we could recharge. Stepping out each morning to the wonderful light, water and openness of the Guidecca canal was a real treat. Kitchen and bathrooms had all we needed for convenience and the service from our rep from Truly Venice was excellent. Note that the Dosoduro is a quiet neighbourhood and you are a boat ride or a walk over the academia bridge. But we liked that! We shall stay here again.

“The Wonderful Secret in the Castello” We woke up in the dark in Milan and took the train to Venice where, bone tired, we struggled to make the pay phone work and contacted Daniella. Moments later Enrico met us at the vaporetto stop and showed us to our Truly Venice apartment. It was a vision of comfort and utility. Enrico gave us the tour of the apartment, keys and a map of Venice where he circled the places close by to shop for our essentials. The apartment had everything that you expect to have to do without when you leave home on vacation: dishwasher, clothes washer, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, stove top with electric burners, stainless steel sink, and the biggest and best shower we've ever seen. Of course there was a king size bed. The closet was huge; the ceilings were high in the sky. There were two balconies. It was quiet. Oh yes, don't let me forget we had an elevator. I'm surprised we left that apartment. But we did and found we were pretty centrally located, though staying in one of the few remaining real neighborhoods in Venice, and that there was so much to see and enjoy in even in this less touristy part of Venice. We would return tomorrow if we could. And sometime we will return to Venice. Now we know where we want to stay.

“A lovely apartment in a glorious city” We were met at the Vaporetto stop although it took some doing for us to realise that there are several at St Mark's Square and we had to make it to the right one in heavy rain and darkness. The apartment is less than five minutes from the Grand Canal and St Mark's Square and just couldn't be better positioned. It is bright and well appointed. The highlight for us both was the daily gondola flotillas with their singers and musicians. The weather wasn't that kind to us but we did manage to sit out on the altana a couple of times in the sunshine with glasses of wine. The location is close to tourist hotspots but quiet. Walk anywhere to get get away from the crowds - Venice is gorgeous whichever way you go!

“Not just a room, but two rooms, with a view” Planning a three generation trip to Venice was always going to be a challenge. After all, how do you satisfy the demands of both teenagers and their grandparents? If you are the ones stuck in the middle, then you really have to work hard to try to please both parties in order to have a successful holiday. Fortunately, we had excellent advice and help from Daniela at Truly Venice. We had very specific requirements for a holiday rental apartment, and she came up with the perfect home away from home in the Palladio apartment in Dorsoduro. Would you like wi-fi for the teenagers? No staircases for the grandparents? A vaporetto stop just outside your apartment? What about three of the most popular art museums in Venice at your doorstep? Would you like a room with a view? How about two rooms with a view? We had all these, and more. The folder that Truly Venice provided contained so much information on where to eat, where to shop and what to see that after the first day we left our own guidebooks behind and used theirs instead. After all, this was like having a local friend recommend to you their favourite places. The service which Truly Venice provides extends to organising the pick up by private water taxi from the airport. This made for a very smooth start to our holiday. On our final day, we really appreciated their kindness in allowing us to leave our bags at the apartment until we were ready to leave for the airport. In writing this review, I am mindful of the comments made by other members of my family. They have warned that if I say how wonderful it is, then we run the risk that we will not be able to rent the Palladio in future, due to overwhelming popularity. That may well be the case, but it really is only fair that other families or groups of friends have the opportunity of staying in and enjoying this truly wonderful apartment.

“great experience in a beautiful neighborhood” This nice and welcoming apartment was easy to access, central yet away from the tourist storm. Fabulous outing choices around the corner, beautiful views over towards Gieducca and 15 mis walk to San Marcos... you just need to go out and enjoy Venice!!

“Open the curtains and...wow!” To arrive at your front door by water taxi direct from the airport is a great way to start a break at Dogaressa. To open the curtains on your first morning is just unbelievable; gondoliers preparing their boats for a day's work against the backdrop of the Santa Maria della Salute- the church so close that you can almost reach out and touch it. To landward as well the location is wonderful, seconds from a main shopping street and minutes from San Marco, yet quiet and hidden away. The apartment is spacious although don't expect too many mod-cons. Would I recommend this property to lovers of Venice? Absolutely!

“This is a lovely apartment with amazing views of the Grand Canal” I took my daughter and two of my granddaughters to Venice for a week's stay at the Guggenheim apartment. We had space for everyone, had a very comfortable place to relax and rejuvinate between our sightseeing adventures and enjoyed a fantastic cooking class while there in the small but adequate kitchen. The apartment is very nicely set up, and met all our needs while in Venice. It's convenient location was perfect, the views from the windows amazing and the people we dealt with were very helpful and friendly. We had a great time at the apartment while enjoying our trip to Venice.

“Another amazing holiday in San Felice terrace” Our second visit to this apartment - we were not disappointed - it is so comfortable and has so many extras. The unusual antiques and decor are fascinating. The location is perfect - just off the grand canal for closeness to the sites and the wonderful Rialto fish market and away from the mayhem and noise of august tourist season. Best meal was at Poste Vecchio in Rialto - highly recommended to everyone - an Italian resident told us about it years ago and it never disappoints. The art Biennale was amazing - just go and have an adventure - could be life changing if you have an open mind to modern art. Hated the long queues in San Marco. Loved Serge Baldino's mask shop near Rialto - such a genuine and creative man - dont buy masks from anywhere else. Cant wait to return in 2 years but will avoid July and august.

“What an amazingly wonderful hostess and place!” Nicolette shines with her gracious and warm welcome to Venice. From the moment we walked into her penthouse and saw what an inviting, accommodating home awaited us, we could have not been more pleased. From the cleanness of the rooms, to the size of the three terraces, to the beverages and snacks waiting in the kitchen for us weary travelers... we truly felt like we had found a gem.
