“Everything Our Family Was Looking For & More” Thank goodness for finding Good Ol' Days Guesthouse! My husband had to come to the Pittsburgh area for business and wanted to bring the whole family along so we could have some family fun in his down time. We looked for hours at hotels in the area and not only were they very expensive, but we would have had to book two separate rooms for my family of six. We were just about to give up searching, when I came across Good Ol' Days Guesthouse. What a treat! The owners, both Melanie and her husband were so friendly & accommodating. They made sure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, from the local bakery goods that they left for us to enjoy, to the slinky gifts that they purchased for each of my four children to keep. Everything about our stay here was first rate. Good Ol' Days Guesthouse really is a blast from the past! As for my husband and myself, we were taken back in time by all of the decor and memorabilia. We also loved the comfortable beds there. My children absolutely loved hanging out in the cool basement/game room, where they learned how to play an old style pinball game and also how records work! Now, as if that wasn't enough, several months after staying here Melanie found a new watch in a case and called every recent tenant until finding the owner of this watch. It was my sons, and Melanie was kind enough to send it to us, asking nothing in return. I cannot thank her enough for her top notch customer service and her kindness. I would highly recommend a stay at Good Ol' Days Guesthouse to anyone and everyone that is coming to the area. I know that if we ever come the Pittsburgh area again, this is only place we would want to stay!

“Beautiful, clean home in a perfect setting!” My husband, two year old daughter, dog and I just returned from a five night stay at Red Run Cabin. The home, although nothing fancy, was beautiful and well kept. We generally always stay in cabins or condos when we travel and this was by far the cleanest rental we've stayed in. It is located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, with the lake right across the street with easy "beach" access. Our ten year old nephew who lives in the area and came to visit loved the game room with bumper pool and fooseball. We also made use of the plentiful board games available and watched several of the multitude of older movies to choose from when it was raining. Our family loved grilling out with us (charcoal and propane provided) and roasting smores over the firepit. My husband and I spent every night relaxing in the hot tub after our toddler and dog had settled in for the night. The home does not have air conditioning (which I believe is common for the area) but plenty of fans that allowed us to stay fairly comfortable in the Springtime mid 70's weather. The kitchen was equipped very well, although it may be time to invest in some new knives. John, the owner, was a very kind and patient and you can tell he takes great pride in his rentals. Whenever we come this way again, we will definitely return to Red Run Cabin.

“I can NOT rave enough about this place! I look forward to staying again!” We looooooved this property! My review wont do justice for this beautiful, spacious, RELAXING, private estate! The downstairs was the perfect venue for me to accommodate guests at my 25th wedding vow renewal! The ease of having the ceremony and reception all in one place was so stress free! All the wedding guests were in awe of the place!The bathrooms were beautiful and handicapped accessible for my elderly guests.The grandson and other children loved the playground & nursery. The teens loved the pool table. I had more than enough room for my overnight guests to spread out because you are definitely NOT crammed into this place! Lots, lots and lots of room! The huge house, decks and terrace made it easy for people to spread out and enjoy everything. The 2 kitchens was new, large and modern. The master bedroom was very romantic with the gas fireplace. The fireplace in the downstairs grand-room was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. The upstairs fireplace in the living room was cozy. The multiple rocking chairs, bonfire area and huge hottub was the perfect cure for the hustle and bustle of a busy day. All the bedrooms were very roomy. The beds were so comfy and luxurious that one of my guests googled the brand name so they could buy one for their own home. lol At the end of our stay, we honestly hated to leave the tranquility and quiet of the place for the "real world". Ken, Paul, and their wives were so helpful and sweet. They all worked hard on making this property into a HOME that all future guests will enjoy!
