“Relaxing and fun cabin vacation!” Our family stayed at this cabin in June and had a great time! When we got there we loved the rustic decor and all the space to spread out since there were 8 of us. Really super clean and there was even an extensive book of local information that helped us plan our activities since we'd never been to Saugatuck before. Even though it's a cabin, it still had all the comforts of home. I really appreciated the high speed internet and my husband loved the 5 TVs. The owners were super nice and called to see if we needed anything on our first day. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool every day and also fishing on the dock. It is about 1 1/2 miles from Saugatuck which I liked because in town it was so busy, but the neighborhood was pretty quiet and relaxing. My only complaint is that our week went too fast! We are already planning to come back next summer.

“Amazing & Comfortable Home” We had the opportunity to stay in your comfortable Galena home in October of 2011. It was our 3rd time staying there, and we cannot say enough about how much we love it. There is lots of room to spread out, and the house if fully stocked with anything you might need (kitchen too!). There is a beautiful covered porch and great views of the rolling hills of the golf course. Sandy is incredibly accommodating and flexible and responsive to our needs. “It's Delightful, It's Delicious, It's De-lovely!” One would think that Cole Porter wrote those lyrics after visiting Ye Olde Manor House! The owners, Karen Fulbright-Anderson and John anderson, are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple. They are so friendly and engaging that you feel at home almost as soon as you arrive. And their home reminds me of an English Country Cottage with the many comfortable seating areas and nooks and crannies expected. There is also a beautiful green lawn with several flowering beds and many lovely spots for sitting. But the piece de resistance of the public areas is the year-round indoor/outdoor pool, with a depth of no more than 5 feet, which makes it perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers (me) alike. First, and most importantly, each guest room has it's own private bath stocked with lovely smelling potions and lotions, big, soft, fluffy bath towels and anything else that you might need. Second, the rooms are lovely. I stayed in the 'Oak Room', which is filled with antique oak furniture and is perfect for one person. There is a chair for reading, a beautiful antique trunk that you can sit on use for your luggage and antique lamps, doilies and trinkets. There were two other guest rooms nearby, but I slept like a baby and never heard anyone else! The breakfast that John and Karen offer negates the need for lunch! You have a choice of Vegan, Vegetarian or the Meat and Dairy eaters breakfast, and everything they prepare is delicious! Finally, there are plenty of other things to do nearby-walking around the Lake, hiking, visiting the quaint Town of Elkhorn, attending concerts and, my favorite, antique fairs!! My long weekend at Ye Olde Manor House was so enjoyable and relaxing that it left me feeling as though I'd spent a week at a spa. Writing about it is making me feel the same way all over again. I can't wait to visit again!!!
