“Outstanding” This was my second visit to Casa Las Brisas and it was even better than my first. I could keep coming back year after year. The food, magnificent views, spectacular sunsets, and luxurious accommodations all make for a superb vacation! The staff is outstanding. Although we like to golf (El Tamarindo and Isla Navidad) are great courses, it is also nice to just lay back and enjoy the wonderful weather and pools. My husband and I travel a great deal, but we love to come back to Casa Las Brisas!

“Heaven on earth” I want to thank the owner Thursten Cook for another wonderful week at South Sound. The property is located on a private cove with breathtaking views of the Ocean. The property was in great shape with a new refrigerator and a new boat. It is difficult to put into words the feeling of falling asleep at night and hearing the roar of the ocean. As this is our second time at the Villa we are starting to get to know all the citizens. The people on the Island go out of their way to make you feel confortable. “We called it Paradise!” The place was AMAZING. The pictures online are awesome; the place in real life is breathtaking. The house is small. Two tiny bedrooms, one with a full(?) sized bed in it and the other with two twins. There's a little living room with a futon. A small bathroom inside and then the gorgeous outdoor bathroom attached to the master bedroom. I've never been in an outdoor bathroom before but it was crazy cool...especially at night when you light the candles! The house itself is very tastefully decorated. It has a beachy/nautical theme, but not gaudy, just perfect. Don't worry about the smallness of the house, though, because you seriously won't spend any time inside. The whole property is designed for the guests to be outside. We spent a ton of time on the blue outdoor couches, watching our 5 year old in the pool with the ocean in the background and listening to the waves or the music from the sonos system (an awesome touch!). Hilda, Euris and Papo are great. Hilda makes the best food and even taught me how to make flan (I recommend asking her to make that). Euris is so easy to be around. He drove us to the Parque Nacional Jaragua. My husband, who speaks Spanish, learned a lot about the area from him. They got along great! Papo kept the pool clean for our daughter and even tolerated her "helping" him. He spends a lot of time keeping the grounds looking so great. And his bonfires are the biggest we'd ever seen. We like our privacy and we're a little worried about having staff around all the time, but all three were so friendly and unobtrusive that it felt like a true paradise. When we booked the house we had planned for it to be just me, my husband and our daughter. Our in-laws were with us for the first part of our vacation and then we had planned to split up for our stay at Las Guayacanes but due to some miscommunication, they were without a place to stay for the first night. We invited them to stay with us until their place in Santo Domingo was ready. They ended up staying two nights (even though they were paying for a hotel room in the capital) because the property was so great. Euris drove them into the city when they were ready to leave. A few days later we decided to drive into the city to visit with them and invited them back to paradise for our last two nights . Again they agreed whilst still having to pay for their hotel room in the city(again). That's how great the place is!!! Also Edmundo is a great host. He responses are very quick and he'll readily answer any questions you have. He's done a great job with the rental. It's fantastic.

“Celebrated Our 25th Anniversary at Maya Cala!” This villa was perfect for our 25th Anniversary. We took a pontoon boat out on the lake and renewed our wedding vows in the water of the Bacalar lake at sunset. The home is very private, very safe, well stocked kitchen. The lake was so awesome from the home and gardens bloomed everywhere around the home. There are some secret surprises thru out the gardens that are for surprise as you stroll thru them. We seen alot of beautiful birds s! It was awesome being in the wildlife so much as Maya Cala provides. We used bug repellent in the evenings at the lake and that worked fine for us. We swam directly from the home, a great dock and we kayaked alot along the banks of the lake. Great little local towns fun to check out and don't miss a sunset trip on the lake in a boat. Thank you Sally for your allowing us to use your awesome home for our 25th Anniversary.and heard monkeys, never got to see one but sure think they were the ones making noise

“A beautiful, large, private home, bring the whole family!” Casa Tortuga was a wonderful place to rest and relax or to come home to after a long day of adventure in and around Tulum. We had 4 adult couples and it was still more space than we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to cook our own meals and we enjoyed spending time together in the kitchen and main room preparing meals and eating and hanging out. We loved getting to use the ourdoor grill, the kayaks, the hammocks, beach chairs, etc. Gabi and Luis were excellent hosts and made us wonderful breakfasts each morning from local produce in the local styles. She also helped us set up a fishing trip and locate other services we were interested in during our stay. Would highly recommend for a family getaway as there are fun things for everybody to do, whether its hanging out and relaxing on the property or making a short drive to scuba, snorkel, hike ruins, shop, eat/drink, lounge on another beach, fish, the list goes on! Was a great place to rest and rejuvenate and still enjoy some exciting Mexican adventures.
